GAVIN
FACE TO FACE I watched as Logan walked off from me after we arrived at the gala. He had seen my expression after asking the question so he didn't demand an answer from me. “Mr Russell.” A feminine voice pulled me out of my state where I was staring at Logan who walked off to meet othe kids. “It's nice to see you here.” Felicia flashed me a bright smile as she tried grabbing my hand but I pulled my hand away from her with a frown and she just chuckled gently. “Still the cautious young man I guess. Let the kids be and let's get something to refresh ourselves before the gala.” Felicia suggested. Felicia had always tried her best to get close to me these past years but I haven't given her that chance and Logan equally was disgusted by her presence so she was careful not to approach me when he was around me because he didn't mind saying what he felt about her while pretending to be respectful so he wouldn't get a scolding from me. “Excuse me.” I mumbled before walking past her and heading towards Logan's direction where he just sat, looking around slowly. After a few minutes, I saw him stand up and head towards a young looking girl who seemed to be surrounded by other girls and a guy who was laughing at her. “She looks like a cry baby. All feisty at first and now crying for her mommy.” “Hey, what do you think you're doing to her?” Logan asked them in a fierce tone. “Leave her alone.” “And who do you think you are?” The boy raised a brow and the girls by him held his hands. I tried hard not to burst out laughing because these kids just look like young adults in a highschool battle. “Is that what you should be thinking about when someone is being bullied?” Gray asked in slight annoyance but I just ignored him. Logan ignored the guy and just walked up to her, pulling her to her feet and to my shock, she looked really familiar. The familiarity wasn't mistaken as she looked just like my son but a feminine version and with blonde hair. Blonde hair. Does that mean? “Leave her alone and scram.” Logan bared his fangs at them and they instantly rushed away. No young werewolf was able to bare their fangs yet but Logan was a different case. He was a unique kid and my mother just assumed it was him getting his smart genes from me that made him develop earlier than usual. I walked over to both of them and as Logan saw me, he immediately turned to hide the girl behind him. Of course, the one with the reputation of never talking to a girl was now talking to one and looking over her. “What's up Logan?” I asked him teasingly and he just glared at me while the little girl behind him peeked over his shoulders. She was almost the same height as him and she had bright blue eyes just like mine and my suspicions just needs to be confirmed by whoever her mother was. Could it be that Iris had two kids and only gave one of them to me to raise? “What's your name little girl?” I asked her, squatting to their height. “L-lyra.” She mumbled in a soft and gentle voice. “Lyra what?” I asked her and she looked at me for a while and back at Logan who gave her a slight nod. “Lyra Green.” She completed. Lyra Green. And Iris is a Green too. So my suspicions was right. If she wasn't my kid, then she's a few months younger than Logan and belongs to another man but that was impossible, she definitely was Logan's age. “Lyra there you are…” A voice came from behind and trailed off almost immediately. The voice I would never forget from that night when she tried getting an expression out of me. Standing up, I turned to look at her. Her green eyes stared back at me. I couldn't quite tell the exact emotions behind her gaze but one things I was sure about was there was annoyance in it. “Iris.” I called with a smile. “It's been a while.” “Yeah, it is.” She forced out before looking behind me to see Logan patting Lyra's hair gently and she smiled at him. The hard look on Iris's face disappeared and it was replaced by a soft look. She walked over to them, ignoring me and knelt right before them. “Lyra.” She called and Lyra immediately rushed to her, wrapping her arms around her neck with a relived look. “What's your name my love?” “Logan Russell.” He replied with a slight smile. “Are you Lyra's mommy?” “Yes I am.” She replied, obviously trying to hold back her tears but she got a grip of herself before pulling him into a hug along with Lyra who was still glued to her. “Thank you. Lyra can be a bit shy sometimes.” “She agreed to be my best friend. Can she come over to my mansion for a play date please?” Logan asked, shocking me to the core. Did he figure something out already? Oh wait, did he recognize Iris from the picture I had of her in my study? From the look on his face, he already recognized her but wasn't saying anything. “Mommy, please.” Lyra said gently and she nodded gently with a smile. “No problem.” Iris said to them with a smile and they both looked ecstatic before Lyra got off her arms, walking away with Logan and she finally faced me with a frown on her face. “You have a beef with me, Miss Green?” I asked her with a slight smile. “You finally decided to appear after deciding to go into hiding for the past five years with my daughter.” “Why would you care?” She asked in a sassy tone. “Why would I care?” I raised a brow. “You had my kids, Iris and you think you can just escape from me after making sure the night we had together was imprinted in my mind?” I took a step towatds her and she took a step back till her back was hitting the wall. Thankfully, no one was really paying attention in our direction as people were busy with a thing or two while we were at the kids side. “What are you doing Gavin?” She asked, her voice shaky as she looked around. “Do you think Logan doesn't know you're his mother already?” I asked her, not ready to let her go this time around. I would make sure I do everything in my will to make her stay with me this time around. “I never forgot about you Iris. And you torture me by appearing every night in my sleep. It's only fair that I don't let you leave this time around.” A scornful smile appeared on her face as she shared deep into my eyes. “Aren't you funny, Mr Russell. You were the same person who told me five years ago that you don't eat the same food twice. I might have Lyra with me but that doesn't mean you have any right to touch her. You don't own me and I have no business with you, so let's just go about the same old way. As strangers.” She stressed the last word. She pushed me away from herself and I let myself move as she tried walking away. Was I going to let her leave me again? No I won't. “Wait, Iris. Don't leave me again.” I stopped her with my voice low so only she could hear me. “I-I love you.”IRIS GET MARRIED? I didn't know how to feel as he said those words but one thing was sure. What I was feeling right now was irritation and rage. How dare he come now and tell me this nonsense?! “You know what, Gavin. You're so full of yourself. Yes, you might have my son with you and he would know already that I'm his mother, but it has nothing to do with you. Five years ago, you rejected me and I've got my pride as a woman.” I said through gritted teeth before turning to walk away, but he grabbed my arm firmly before I could leave. “Please, Iris. Don't act this way…” “What way?”I asked already feeling irritated. I tried to keep my voice in check so I wouldn't cause a scene here. A scandal was the last thing I wanted for the Green family right now. “I am just acting like a reasonable woman would actually act.” Yanking my hand free from his grip, I walked over to Logan and Lyra where they were both standing and talking to each other. My heart swelled with joy as I watc
IRIS.HAPPY WITH HER TWIN“Married?” I raised a brow while looking at all of them. “Who came up with this foolish suggestion?” “Isn’t it enough that you had a child for a man we do not know? It is against the family's rules and I don't see why you should have been made the head of the family in the first place…”“Do you want to continue with your position as the family head? Because I would gladly take you, if I have to, to get away from this ridiculousness you all are basking in, father-.” I replied sarcastically, obviously livid. “You need to listen to me, Iris.” He slammed his fist against the table which irritated me more than I already was irritated. “As the family head, you have to sacrifice a lot of things. Whether you like it or not, you have to get married. The advisors would give to you those we have settled the deal with…”Before he could go any further, I stood up and walked out of the room. I heard them calling after me but I've just had enough. “I'll talk to her.” I he
GAVINYOU JUST WAIT!I could see the change in her expression when I brought up our twin's custody. I didn't know what to expect, but I had to try my luck anyway. I didn't want her to disappear from me again, I missed her but I can't show any affection so this is the best option.“What do you mean by our children's custody?” She asked with a raised brow. “Whatever it is your motives are, Gavin, know that I'm not going to dance to your tone.” “What a shame. You haven't even listened to me, Iris.” I chuckled briefly, leaning my chin against my knuckles. “It might be beneficial for not only you and me but the two of them also.”Hearing this, she leaned back in her chair with her arms folded across her chest but she was staring daggers at me from across the table. I had to admit one thing, and that was that she looked dang hot with her fierce look. “We are not sure whether Logan knows Lyra is his sister yet, but it's only a matter of time before he realizes that. I mean, she's the perfe
GAVIN. THE RUSSEL BLOODThe loud music in the club filled my entire senses as I headed towards the rooftop which was a bit quiet compared to the noise downstairs. When Jerry told me he would be opening his club, I didn't expect it to be a damn huge club with a beautiful hotel right inside the building. “Thanks for coming,” Jerry said as I walked towards him immediately I got to the rooftop. It's been a while since I saw him this free since he was always busy with work.“It's fine.” I patted his shoulder gently.Walking over to the bar, I ordered a drink while looking around. It was the VIP floor and the strippers were there and those who serve men were busy going from one man to another. It's just something one would expect from Jerry. “Gavin.” A feminine voice called out to me and I turned to see her walking in my direction. “Felicia.” I mumbled as she stopped before me. “I haven't seen you since graduation, Alpha.” She chuckled, handing me the glass the bartender had pushed to
IRIS.BLIND DATE“What is it this time, Helen?” I groaned as I stared at her through the FaceTime we were on. For a reason, she ended up drunk and had a serious hangover. She knew she fell sick after getting drunk and should drink lightly, but went ahead to get super drunk. This was the fifth time my phone has been ringing with her calls. “I asked June to send in some files to you this morning. And it was one from Gavin.” As she said his name, my hand that was hovering over the iPad which was before me stopped. “About the custody he requested the other day.” I started to search for the file on my table and soon found it. Forcing the cover open, I could see the heading. He was freaking serious about this custody shit. I haven't been a good mother to Logan and I don't think I'm ready to face him right now and admit the fact that I am his mother to him. How would he look at me? For all these five years, I just left him without a mother figure in his life, just because I wanted to get
IRISDEAL!I looked up at the man clad in a fitted black suit with neatly cut brown hair standing before me. He had a bright smile, and I knew he was familiar. “Jude,” I called and he flashed a bright smile before taking his seat before me. The last thing I expected was for those damned advisors to get someone I am acquainted with as my date. “So it's true. You really are from the Green family.” He said. “I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, but I was practically forced here.” “I understand.” I bluntly replied as I waved the waiter over to get my order. I had a lot of things to do and I wasn't here for any catching up of any sort. “I'll take a cup of juice.” “Yes, Miss Green.” The waiter bowed before turning to Jude for his order. Jude used to be one of those admiring me from afar when I was in college. I knew about it because Helen didn’t hesitate to spill the tea of anyone who spoke about me to me, but I've never spoken to him more than two times and it was a forced conversation.
GAVIN. MATING SEASON “Did you hear? The alpha made a project deal with the Greens.” “I don't believe it. The same Greens?” “Yes…”I let out a low growl as I pushed the doors of the conference room open. The entire room which was a second ago filled with their gossiping became silent. I should be having a meeting with Iris this morning and I didn't sleep a wink last night. I was busy thinking of my strategy to bring her in as I progressed with the business, and before I knew it, it was dawn. So I was extra cranky early this morning. “They're here.” Jerry said to me as I settled at the head of the table. The doors were pushed to the side and there she was, standing in a formal outfit. The black dress she wore underneath kissed her curves perfectly and she had a white coat draped over her shoulders. Her blonde hair was down, making her look like an angel. Looking at her before me made me aroused for some reason and her sweet scent mixed with the mate scent didn't help my situatio
IRISA MISTAKE?What on earth was I thinking when I accepted to come over during his rut? As I sat there and he was staring at me all through the meeting, I could feel the tugging in my chest and our bond pulling me towards him. Ever since he dumped me back then, I've been so focused in work to help me take my mind off him. Of course I liked him before we had a one night stand, it wouldn't be easy to toss him aside. “Tch.” I gritted my teeth as I walked towards the car where Helen was waiting for me already. "As she opened the car door for me, she remarked, 'That was quick.' I didn't register her comment until she slid in beside me, her face inches from my neck, her warm breath sending a shiver down my spine."“Don't tell me.” She said with her hand reaching for my coat to pull it away. “Don't tell me you had an intimate session with him…”“What are you talking about?” I frowned and she took out her phone, took a picture and showed it to me with a smug grin. “He gave you a hickey
