A MEETING WITH THE ELDERS

IRIS'S POV

I was up early, prepared to take the kids to Green mansion. Like I had said last night, I felt the need to be a mother to them. I wanted to make it up to them, they were excited but they insisted that Gavin comes along with us.

And definitely, Gavin was one to agree to whatever request the children made. He was fond of them and they felt the same way towards him too.

“Not today kids, I have got a lot to do at the office. But I promise you, next time and your mother here won’t deny me of that chance.” he said, his voice sounded playful but I knew deep down he was upset that I forced him to disagree on the kids request.

I furrowed my brows in annoyance. Did he really have to put in that part of denying him time with the kids? I never did that, never. How dare he accuse me like that?
