"Your memories of that place can't really be called good. I didn't know you missed it so much." Ed guessed that Ruby's reason was homesickness, but he was wrong.
Ruby didn't miss that place so much. There were many positive things happening there, especially with Ed, but there were also quite a few bad things. Ruby still shuddered when recalling the unpleasant incidents, particularly those involving Mia and Pedro.

Ruby felt acknowledged when she lived there. Ed used to move from place to place, but Puerto Vallarta was where he came back to. Ruby only felt at peace when she and AJ were there, with Ed truly by their side.
