“Where are we going?” Ruby asked.
She wasn't very familiar with the roads around Guadalajara Airport, but she knew they weren't heading to Puerto Vallarta. Although she couldn’t remember exactly, Ruby was sure they shouldn’t be passing through a forested area.
“To the beach!” AJ, sitting next to Ibanez in the front seat, replied.
“Not yet, AJ,” Ed corrected.
“Huh? Why not?” AJ climbed up on the seat and turned around, unbuckling his seatbelt.
“Sit back down, or I’ll move you to the back,” Ruby warned. She wasn’t usually the type to threaten, but after enduring hours of travel with an overly excited AJ, her energy was nearly drained.
AJ complied, pouting.
“Because the house isn’t ready yet. Don’t worry, it won’t be long. We’ll stay somewhere else for now.” Ed reached out to ruffle AJ’s hair.
