Chapter 44: Take Care of Olivia

After the burial of Mr Carter, Ethan dropped his mother at home and returned to his apartment to get ready to move in with his mother.

This was not how he was expecting things to turn out. He wanted his father to get well but it appears that is a wish that could not be granted.

"Derby, we are leaving this place. I cannot stay here any more," he informed the house help.

"Does it mean I don't have a job any more?" she asked making Ethan frown.

"I said we. Now go put things in order," he ordered and the servant left.

Ethan sat on the sofa and recalled memories of his father. His eyes were quickly filled with tears as the memories filled his mind.

Back at Carter's apartment, Mrs Carter was in her bedroom already over her husband, thinking of what to do with Olivia. Ethan will be moving in and she can't afford for the two to meet.
