Chapter 43: The Burial

"I need to confirm my suspicion that Camila is indeed pregnant," she thought and quickly fetched her phone and dialled a number.

"I have a job for you," she said as soon as the call connected.

She spoke on the phone for a while and made another call to make arrangements for her husband's burial.

She came downstairs to find Ethan still in the living room sitting on the sofa looking lost.

"The burial is in two days," she said and Ethan turned to look at her descending the staircase towards the living room.

He was surprised she was able to make arrangements and set a day for his father's burial considering it's been only a couple of hours since he passed. Earlier she could not be consoled as tears streamed down her face like waterfalls.

"Mum, I am here for you and I will always be," he promised believing she was just acting strong.

All they have left is each other. He was the only son of his parents. His mother, he knew was an orphan and his father who also happened to be the only son
