-Sierra
Today was Friday and I happened to still be 'sick' so I was in bed binge-watching on N*****x. My bed was a mess, my hair was up in a bun and I was in pajamas. Although nothing ever seems as interesting to me these days, I insist on watching television to pass time.
Just when I had found my comfortable position, Courtney opened my door and gave me a disappointed look.
"I can't take this anymore, You've been doing nothing since Saturday. We need to take a walk to the Farmer's market now and get groceries, the fridge is half full," she said sternly and I felt compelled to do what she wanted me to because she was kinda right.
My curtains aren’t open and my room is a mess.
"I'm coming back in five minutes and you better be ready." she deadpanned and slammed the door. In fear of the six-year-old, I immediately got out of bed and scurried through my closet to get my hands on the nearest cloth.
I put on whatever random bullshit my hands landed on and got a bundle of money then stuffed it in my purse hurriedly.
By the time I got out of the closet, Courtney had just opened the door and was looking at me like a general examining a soldier. I stood in tension and she stood in front of me and narrowed her glaring eyes at me.
"Okay we can go now," she motioned for me to follow behind her and I let out a sigh of relief.
.
.
The farmer's market was a fairly short distance from the hotel so we were walking. I put on sunglasses because I've been a vampire for the past few days. I haven't seen the summer sun in quite a while.
There were college students and teenagers hanging out with their friends, and couples going out. Happiness and love filled the air. Although the scent was refreshing, it still sent a pang to my heart.
Little do they know that their loved ones can betray them at any time. That their happiness and love could disappear in a matter of seconds.
I swayed my attention away from them and suddenly an enchanting scent filled the air. It heightened my senses.
From the crowd derived a guy with a black mask.
Crap!
It was Xavier.
I couldn't hide because we had already made eye contact and it would be too embarrassing. Besides, I;m wearing sunglasses so I can just act like I didn’t see him, right?
So, being Sierra, I decided to walk past him and ignore the beating heart of mine that was making a hell lot of noise. Does that thing even have a snooze? I get it, I get it, my mate is around but settle the fuck down.
As I was pursuing a plan of walking away, I forgot the little detail beside me who had a liking for Xavier.
"Prince Xavier!" She exclaimed and ran to hug his legs.
He lifted her and carried her to his side.
Shit!shit!shit!shit!
“Courtney, how are you doing?" he asked as she removed his sunglasses and put them on her face.
“I’m fine. Sierra, look it’s Xavier from the ice cream shop.” She said excitedly as I grimaced because I had the inability to smile right now. Despite his mask, I knew he smirked at me and looked directly into my eyes.
My heart rate only accelerated. I wonder how that smirk would look without that mask on. He’s probably hiding something grotesque under that mask.
The more I looked at him, I began to notice just how tall he was. He was like seven feet. He definitely towered over everyone else though it was kind of attractive- I cut myself off as I mentally slapped myself for thinking of such a thing but it's only natural that my mating instincts awaken around him.
"Prince Xavier, escort us to the farmer's market,” Courtney said joyously as she grinned broadly. I wanted to dig a hole and rest there for the next 100 years.
"No, I'm sure he has some important busi-" he cut me off. "At your service Princess Courtney,” he said and started walking in the direction of the Farmer's Market.
Why are they both so stubborn? They're a horrible combination, horrible I say. I thought to myself as I followed behind them gripping my purse angrily.
.
.
We were currently at our last stall, a ground root stall. There was a fifty-something-year-old woman grinning widely at us. "You are a really beautiful family," she said smiling at Xavier who was still carrying Courtney then her eyes darted to me.
"Ma'am, you're mistaken, we're n-" Xavier cut me off when he pulled me to his side. My heart was already acting crazy but now it was on a rampage.
"Thank you ma'am but I think my two favorite girls take the whole cake on the topic of beautiful," he said and she blushed. I was frozen.
I soon realized the situation and stepped away from his grasp.
How can he be so pretentious? The last time we met. He was as cold as frozen metal now all of a sudden he has this other persona.
He’s ambidextrous- (Sierra considers anyone who can do two completely different things properly, ‘ambidextrous’ even though she knows the actual meaning.)
The kind lady gave me my beets and Xavier paid. "You don't have to," I complained and he acted like he didn’t hear me and he gave her the money.
"I want to," he said simply and we started heading home since we were done with today's shopping.
Xavier was carrying the heaviest bag. Although I told him I should carry it since Courtney didn't want to get off him, he still insisted.
We were out of the market and I decided to end our merry journey here. "Okay Courtney, we should get going," I said grabbing the grocery bag from Xavier. "No, Xavier said he would escort us home." I was now ticked off.
This heartthrob and this smart alec have been pushing me over the whole day and I don’t want this guy to know where I live. I motioned for him to give me the grocery bag as I glared at him. He smirked and handed it to me.
Fuck, it was much heavier than I expected so it took a while for me to actually lift it properly.
I gave Courtney a stern look and she let go of Xavier accepting to come down.
We parted ways with Xavier and headed back to Fi Le Hotel
.
.
We reached a fair distance to the hotel and I put her and the grocery bags down to catch my breath.
"Great! I finally got you a chance to go out with Xavier and you blew it," Courtney exclaimed while pouting and crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"Courtney, I've told you countless times that I'm not going to get married so I won't date," I said squatting in front of her to reach eye level.
The sad truth is that I don’t think I’m desirable anymore. I’m a tab bit too broke to be loved by someone so why try? Although Xavier is an arrogant jerk who probably thinks I’m playing hard to get, he’ll probably lose interest in me the moment he knows everything. I’m already shocked that he knows I work at a strip club but is still consistent…I think.
"Why don't you want to? Everyone your age does it," she said angrily and I caressed her cheek.
"Courtney, when your older you'll understand that people aren't what you make them out to be," I said looking her dead in the eyes.
"You just have trust issues," she said pouting.
“Maybe.” I gave in and she started walking again so I was forced to follow behind her.
This is going to be a long evening.
...........THE NEXT MORNING................. "Rwaar, I'm a bear and I'm taking over this territory," I said uninterestedly while waving my arms in the air playing super park ranger with Courtney. I was currently in a bear costume. She gave me a disappointed look. She was in a park ranger outfit. "Come on, Sierra more energy," she said and I rolled my eyes in disinterest but then continued to talk. "Sierra, could I be the flower girl at You and Xavier's wedding," she said and I opened my eyes now fuelled by anger. "I TOLD YOU I’M NOT MARRYING HIM!" I exclaimed and she started running with her hands in the air. "Aah, we need a brave and strong park ranger," she said and went behind the couch and put on a park ranger hat and scarf plus a fake mustache with straw in her mouth as she was holding a toy gun. It was her Halloween costume and the bear costume was mine. "DID ANYONE SAY THEY NEEDED A BRAVE AND STRONG PARK RANGER," she said trying to replicate a man's voice but she just soun
..............the next day......................... This is the last place I wanted to be at is what I wanted to say to Courtney as we sat on the park bench. "Courtney, are you sure you don't want to go to the zoo or beach?" I asked her trying to convince her. "No, I want to see Xavier, my prince." she said excitedly and I couldn't help but notice how excited and happy she was to meet that mother fucker. He insulted me yesterday yet he doesn't know a damn thing about me. Honestly, for the first time in a long time, I actually felt hurt by words. Could it be because he is my mate? I swayed my head from side to side and looked to the sky trying to get the thoughts of him out of my mind. "Xavier!" Courtney exclaimed and I got scared as I looked where she was running to and saw familiar blue eyes and dark hair.
CHAPTER 10 “Xavier..” I couldn’t form a sentence. I heard him let out a low growl from his throat and felt butterflies erupt in my stomach. “Say that again, I liked it.” His deep voice rang in my ears as his hand went under my shirt and onto my bare waist. I couldn’t think now, my mind was clouded. “Xavier,” I repeated as told and he sucked on the skin on my neck before replying. “Good girl.” He gently turned me so I was on my back. He wasn’t in the mask anymore but I couldn’t get a proper look at his face. All I could see was his bright eyes looking directly into mine My hand found its way to his cheek then my thumb caressed his bottom lip. He held my hand that was on his cheek and kissed my palm as he looked me straight in the eye. “I need your confirmation. Do you want to?” he said looking directly into my eyes. God, I wanted to, so bad. My body was burning. “Yes,” I said and he let out a low chuckle as he buried his head in my neck kissing and sucking the skin leaving fla
"Finally, you made up." Courtney said suddenly and I smiled awkwardly as I scratched the back of my neck. "I thought you went to play with your friends." I said quickly changing the topic. "I was but I saw you two looking like you were about to leave so I rushed over." she said looking from me to Xavier. "No, we were not." I protested and she shrugged her shoulders and walked off. I sighed. "So, can I have your contact?" Xavier asked sternly as if no wasn’t an option. It didn’t even sound like a question. I cringed. “Fuck no.” I said loud enough for him to here. I response, he leaned to whisper in my ear and spoke. “Would you rather I get it from somewhere else?” he said in a slight whisper and I felt my insides start to boil. Who the fuck does he think he is? He pulled back and didn’t have a change in expression or maybe that mask was hiding his possibly hideous smile. I held out my hand and he placed his phone on it. ‘You win this time jerk, next time, you’ll see.’ I typed in
CHAPTER 12. “What the….” I was blank-faced in the middle of a huge ass apartment. It looked much more expensive than mine and mine wasn’t even cheap, to begin with. The floor was actually fuckin marble, the ceiling had such intricate and intimate designs. The chandelier wasn’t like anything I’d ever seen, it was designed so well that it mimicked an ocean wave. I looked at Xavier who took off his coat already and remained in a tight black long-sleeved shirt. It brought out all his muscles so I decided to not glue my eyes on them. “Xavier…so you’re saying, you’re going to lease me or something?” I asked and he thought for three seconds before answering. “Yes, technically. For the next week, you’re going to be mine.” Silence stretched…how about Courtney. He turned to face me and raised an eyebrow then fished his phone from his pocket. “Since you work for Xavier Kingston now, as your legal boss. You must follow my rules.” I could tell he was not doing anything to do with this topic
CHAPTER 13 I stood in front of the sink trying to think and figure out a way out of this without embarrassing myself. My purse! Yes, my purse must have something- and I left it outside the bathroom, in the living room. I heard a knock on the door and my heartbeat accelerated. It’s Xavier. “Are you okay?” he asked. “Ah…yeah, I’m fine..” Just tell him bitch. It’ll be too embarrassing. “No, you’re not. What is the problem?” My heart calmed down at his words and I decided to let go of my pride. “I...I started my period.” There was silence. Is he the type of guy to be grossed out by periods? “10 minutes, I’ll be back.” -Xavier I hurriedly strutted into a convenience store next to the apartment building. All heads turned in my direction but I couldn’t care less. I looked through the isles until I landed on the women’s sanitary tools part. There was an attendant seated at the corner. Immediately h
~~~~~~~~~~Sierra's P.O.V~~~~~~~~I looked at Aaron, he seemed to be done for today so he was coming over so we can go home together even though he doesn't usually come to this side of the club.We're now living in the same house. I glanced at Xavier who was seriously trying to restrain his annoyance when he looked at Aaron. I think it was because he was in an erotic police uniform."Um... Xavier." I called his name timidly because now he looked like he was blood lustful and his scent was a cocktail of anger, jealousy, and of course blood lust. Was it because I diverted my attention from him?He turned to me and cooled down. "Who is he?" he asked coldly and I felt a few drops of sweat form on my back. "He's my friend-" I cut myself off and looked at Aaron not sure of what our relationship was.He stood a few feet away from us and answered."She's living with me. You must be her lover," he said plain-faced. I could tell that Xavier was confused because he had no scent. Confusion, jealou
"Okay, but where did he go after breakfast," she asked curiously and I felt tense for a second, and the room filled with my hurt scent."He went to do some work," I said pretending like it was nothing. Courtney looked at me suspiciously but soon brushed it off."Is this one good?" I said showing her an apartment room. "Yeah, it's fine but doesn't it say we'll have to share it with someone? She said and I read and she was right."Seriously!" I exclaimed in a frustrated way.I heard a knock on the door and peeked through the small hole in the door. I saw Aaron. He looked critically damaged.My body felt a jolt up my spine as my eyes opened wide. I swallowed hard. "Courtney, go to our room, now, and don't come out until I tell you," I said and she looked worried and confused. "Sierra, what's w-" I cut her off. "Now!" I exclaimed sternly and she now reeked of fear and confusion as she ran to the room.I opened the door and saw Aaron with blood on his lip, cheek, and some on his clothes. H
“Okay, try letting her take over,” Xavier said as he stood in front of me.“But how do I do that?” I said anxiously and he sighed then knelt on the grass in front of me.He held both of my hands in his and looked me in the eye.“Calm down first and talk to her. Ask her.” He said and I closed my eyes as I took deep breaths.“Domino, would you please transform me?”“Take off your clothes first, I don’t wanna rip em and have you move around butt naked.”I snapped my eyes open and looked at Xavier with pink hints on my cheeks.“She said I have to strip, first,” I murmured and he raised his eyebrows.“Right, I’ll leave you to it then. Do you want me to transform too?” he asked as he stood up and dusted off his knees. “Yeah, I’d like that,” I said and he nodded and walked into the forest.I stripped and felt my bones break and rebuild themselves. When I opened my eyes, I was on four feet. I looked at the ground and pranced around.“Aruuuuu.” Domino howled. She was now mostly in control. I l
“Xavier…”His lips crushed into mine and I couldn’t help but respond. My arms rested on his shoulder and the other on his cheek as our lips danced together. I felt my body get a burst of energy and hunger growing inside me.He pulled me closer and lifted me to sit on his lap. We continued kissing and his hands held the small of my back and played with the hem of my shirt until they were on my skin. Wherever he touched felt like kisses of pleasure, flames of fire that I wanted to devour me.I pulled away and looked into his eyes. He wanted to kiss me again but I felt guilty for doing this.“Sorry.” He said as he placed his hand over his mouth and looked to the side then let out a sigh. His hand that was on my waist let go and rested on his thigh.“I messed up.” He said and I combed his hair back using my fingers which made him look at me with a slight shock on his face.“I love you too, Xavier,” I said and smiled softly. I felt like I needed to do this. I needed to tell him this for qu
I was currently at home in the living room scrolling through the tv for random channels. The thing is that I barely watch tv and when I do, I get tired of it very fast. Maybe I just haven’t found a show to like. Courtney and her mom are currently reading a book together which is adorable. Dad is taking a nap in his room. It’s 3 pm and everyone has something to do except for me. I woke up early today, finished a significant portion of my course work and got tired of it. To knock me out of my train of pointless thoughts, I heard a knock on the door. I immediately stood up and got a bit shocked when I saw those bright blue eyes behind the door. I didn’t know what to say. I walked outside into the hallway and closed the door behind me “Greet bitch.” My wolf said. “Good afternoon.” I kept my eyes on his, not like I had the energy to look away. My body was using all my energy to keep me on my feet right now. “Good afternoon,” he replied and I cleared my throat and looked away from h
Xavier’s P.O.V“OK, EVERYONE, GET IN POSITION. NEWBIES, TO THE LEFT.” The coach announced and blew a whistle with a ball tucked under his armpit as he pointed to the side of the court. I followed the instructions along with everyone who came in for tryouts. I’ve been practicing basketball for a while now along with Walter and a few other pack officials with little experience in the sport.I could say, it wasn’t my expertise or majorly- I had an unfair advantage here compared to the other men. I was faster, stronger, and far more agile so even if I don’t put in much effort, I can do significantly well.The coach was calling one by to showcase what they could do against the captain of the team.He was tall, looked like he had enough sense to be considered top-tier, and seemed faster and more agile than the average human. The goal set to qualify the newbies for the sport was simply to last 2 minutes on the court without letting the ball get bounced off them.I watched from the bleachers
-Anonymous For 24 years I have been waiting to be out of the cages of duty and back in the courts of my pack. Luckily, I found a brain wave from a female werewolf. She seemed to know something about Xavier since her scent had a tinge of his scent. She was dreaming and I see no other way it was time to apply my power to enter dreams and read minds. I entered her dream and it looked like nothing less than depression and anxiety, the scent gave it away as well. It was black everywhere not even a single speck of light except the one over her. I walked to her and she seemed to already notice my presence. She was in tears, this looks exactly like heartbreak at its worst. Did Xavier reject her? "Young girl, do you know where my son is?" I asked her and she glanced at me and shook her head meaning no. I let out a small grunt in disapproval. "I was almost certain that you were his mate," I said that while squatting in front of her studying me in her current sitting position on the floor a
CHAPTER 63“Wow, you mean all that happened over the weekend?” Penny said with an exasperated look after I told her about the kidnap and all that stuff.“Yap.”She nodded slowly as she looked into the distance then turned back to me with curiosity in her eyes.“I mean, are you happy, surprised, confused, or angry?”“I could say I’m happy but I feel like it happened so suddenly so I’m still trying to digest the situation.”She nodded again. I could sense that she wanted to ask for something but she was shy. I could also guess that what she wanted was for me to spill some tea about Dom.
There was a silhouette of someone who seemed to be in armor standing still. We couldn’t see his face or any detail, we could only see the light surrounding him exposing the silver of his armor. We all stopped in our tracks uncertain of what to do next. He seemed to be observing all of us. He was scentless. There wasn’t much I was getting from him. Suddenly my dad stood upright and his eyes opened wide in shock. “RUN! EVERYBODY RUN!” he shouted and my mom was grabbing my hand to go find safety as my dad stayed in a fighting stance. Xavier and Xander didn’t retreat either. “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?” Xavier shouted and my dad swallowed deeply. I could smell the anger morph into a pure rage in his scent. “Mom, who is that?” “Shhh,” she silenced me by covering my mouth and I could smell the fear in her voice. She must know this person or thing and she must be afraid of it for a grave reason. I decided to sit still. Xavier The man in armor lunged at us as he drew a long sword out of its
SierraDad lunged at Xander with a fist and he dodged it but dad moved his fist downward and punched him in the face. From then on, I didn’t see much, it was like a blur.“Dad, stop!”I screamed but they didn’t hear me. I wanted to pull them apart but my mom held me. “No, stop! Dad, that’s my mate!” I screamed and my dad stopped. His eyes looked deep into mine with emotions I couldn’t read, his hand fisted around Xander's neck and blood down his nose. Xander’s fist landed on his jaw and he glared at him then knocked the daylights out of him.I rushed to his side and frantically tapped him trying to make sure he wasn’t dead. I checked his pulse and he was still alive. I sighed in relief and glared at dad. He shrugged with a guil
We sat down and my parents first gave each other a look and nodded before mom decided to talk. "You see Sierra, we had something urgent to do. We are what you may call werewolves too that's why it looks like we haven't aged a day and we are rogues." she first paused and I nodded.“I see but then…why didn’t you tell me? And what does that have to do with your plane crush and your gravestone, your dead bodies..." I said with a bit of anger in my voice and dad spoke. "Sierra, let’s explain this as simply as possible," he said in a calming tone and I looked to the floor and then back up to them holding myself down.“A long time ago, your mother and I, were King and Queen of a pack.”“About how long ago?” I asked as I swallowed the saliva in my throat.
