Chapter # 98

Highly disturbed at the condition of my family, my mate not being here, the eye of my one son hurt terribly and a traumatized boy.

My eyes were hollow, anguish was burning in my chest.

The wrath was flaring rapidly as I was waiting for my son to recover before taking another step, much harsher than before.

‘That asshole will pay, how dare he,’ I thought furiously, a tear glistening in the corner.

We were in another mansion because ours was burned from many places and the recovery cost me a lot.

Matthew was sleeping, Anthony was in my lap, hugging me close.

“Papa, don’t leave me,” He whispered, tiny hands holding me hopelessly.

“I am not going anywhere, my boy, I am here,” I whispered, kissing the top of his head.

He was burning from fever, the fear took a toll on him, not leaving my shirt as I was holding him against my chest with him sitting on my laps.

Obviously it won’t cover for the motherly warmth he required but I did my best.
