‘Please let not anything worse happen now. Please keep her safe,’ I thought anxiously the whole way.

Endeavoring to not gather around unwanted thoughts, I rapidly rushed to see her, praying for her betterment.

I saw the window was still broken and not fixed.

“Oh, great,”

Watching out from the neighbors and others in the vicinity, I climbed to her room cautiously through it, catching a glimpse of her.

She was pacing around while rubbing her hands together with visible stress plastered on that beautiful face.

“Eliana!”

Calling her breathlessly, I covered the windows with curtains and opened my arms to her.

“Denzel!”

Instant relief washed over her when she saw me and rushed to embrace me in her arms.

Holding her firmly, I kissed the top of her head for assurance that I was here now and nothing could harm her.

“Denzel, nobody saw you, right?”

“Yeah, it’s clear. Nobody did,” I nodded, pressing her near me to help her loosen her shoulders and vex not.
