Chapter fifty four

Kayla’s POV

With each fallen rogue, my vengeance burned brighter. The forest quickly became a battleground, littered with the dead bodies of the rogues who had dared to cross my path.

I could see my warriors fought valiantly, their determination matching my own and this made me smile, knowing that they fought not just for revenge, but for the safety of the base which would be used for future stacks.

As the last of the werewolf rogues fell to the ground, I stood amidst the aftermath of the battle, my chest heaving with exhaustion and triumph as I looked to the skies with closed eyes. I couldn’t believe I had led a successful battle and I was too exhausted to have seen the rogues still lurking in the forest.

The forest was still, the air heavy with the scent of victory. I surveyed the scene once again, my eyes filled with a mix of satisfaction and sorrow.
