Choose between me, your wife and your ex

TYLER'S POV

My mind is not at rest at all, but I can't show my weakness to my subjects. I claimed to be calm and unbothered, I am the only one that knew I had a lot going on in my mind. 

What if the kidnappers had taken them far away so that we couldn't find any traces again? Maybe they will call Selena to inform of the place she will come for her baby. I just wish the moon goddess would revive her and make her strong enough to fight this battle ahead. 

As I quietly did these things outside the ward, my phone started ringing, but I didn't want to pay attention to that. 

"Hope she is going to survive? Please save her!!!" Susan kept on crying and rolling on the floor. Since the doctor asked us out of the room, because the situation was getting worse than expected, the two siblings haven't been themselves. I don't really care about them, all I want is my triplets, I don't really care about their mother. Still, I wish her to be safe. 

As I stood there, Pete walked up to me and started throwing some stupid questions to me. "Does it mean you can't plead with the moon goddess to save her? Or just want to stand here for nothing? What even makes you a king?" 

I looked at him and looked away, that wasn't the time to say anything to a common man like him. He didn't give up, I kept on ignoring him, thinking of the next move to take. 

"I know you have nothing to say, because you are nothing but a coward under the lion's clothing." Pete's insulting words were getting me angry, but I chose not to react to it. 

Susan stood up from the floor and started dragging her brother back to let me be, but would he listen? 

"You better go back there and continue crying peacefully before I make it more painful than it is now." Pete threatened Susan, but she didn't subscribe to that. 

I couldn't hold it back any more as I decided to ask him one question. "Where were you when all this started? Where were you when she came back and started looking for you? Do you know you caused everything she is going through now? If she dies, you killed her." I said to Pete, causing him to start reacting and making noise. 

My phone started ringing again, I decided to pick and distract myself from this ordinary man making noise in front of me. As I brought the phone out, it was my wife. 

"How are you doing, my queen?" I romantically asked, but she didn't reply to me for some seconds. 

"I hope you have got married to her, that's why you decide not to come back again. Taking my call will even take time. Well, maybe she asked you not to pick the foolish woman's call, because I have turned into a fool that you can use as you want." I kept quiet and listened to all Georgia's rants and complaints. Only if she understands the gravity of the situation. 

"My love, I will be with you soon, you just have to be patient."

"That was the same thing you said before leaving this house, cancelling all the programs we had going on, just to be with a woman who deceived you that she has triplets for you."

"She didn't deceive me, I confirmed from her mate." I softly said. 

"Her mate?* Georgia surprisingly asked, and I answered, "yes!" 

"What makes you think you are the owner of those babies? What if all this is a trick to pay you back for sending her out of your pack?" 

I laughed, she raised her voice higher than it was. "You are fucking laughing at me? I have turned into an object of caricature to you, right?" Georgia queried. 

"You have to calm, my love. The person you are talking about is right here in the hospital, battling for her life."

"Is it not better if she dies and leaves us alone?" 

"What are you saying? We have to end this conversation now. I will be back soon." I said with a harsh tone. 

"End the call? Okay! Before you do that, you have to choose between me and that low life urchin. You have to choose between coming back to me, or I go back to my parents." Georgia made a very big statement that can destroy many things. What she seeks for might not be given to her this time. 

"Have you turned deaf or dumb?" She questioned, not showing any atom of respect. But I didn't want to worsen the matter. 

"You have to forget all these for now, I will come back to you soon. Let me handle things with care here." I lowered my voice so low to please her, but hell no!! I fuelled her anger in every attempt to calm her down. 

"Just make your choice, so that I can let you live your life." She said, and I took a heavy breath. 

"I will be with you any moment from now on, my love."

"That is not the answer to the question. Why is it so hard for you to make a choice? Does it mean you are silently taking her side and pretending to be by my side? How do I even know that you are telling the truth? Gosh!!!!! My brain is messed up right now." She exclaimed.

"Yes! Your brain is truly messed up." I said in my mind. 

"Georgia, I am coming back home right now." I assured her and she changed her intonation. 

Her voice calm and sweet like a riddim to my ears, she said; "I have heard you, and I am expecting you." She ended the call before I could say the next word. 

I went back inside to inform the doctor I was leaving. 

"Hope you are going to be back soon?" The doctor asked.

"He shouldn't return here, his presence isn't needed at all. What is even the significance of him being here?" Pete angrily asked. I can see pain, jealousy, and insecurity in his eyes. 

"Save your fears for something worth fearing for. I can't have your woman, all I want is my kids to be saved." I said to him with my hands on his shoulder, which he removed immediately. 

"No matter what you do, I can never be afraid of you, and you can never have a place in her life again." Pete bragged. I laughed, because the little power he has is deceiving him. 

He because he is an alpha, he thinks he can control everything. Only if he knows that without royal blood, he will continue being an ordinary warrior for his pack. 

"I will leave half of my men here for some safety. But, for now, save your tears for the days you will realise that you are nothing." I said to Pete and left.
