Alpha Haden

How dare her? What was she doing with that guy? She was supposed to be working, not having a break.

“Are you jealous, Haden?” My wolf, Gaya, asked. I could feel his arrogant wolfy smirk in my head, where he was. Where every wolf usually was.

Wolves and their human host had the ability to communicate with each other telepathically. I found it useful sometimes, other times, I just wanted Gaya to shut up. And today was one of those days I wanted him to shut it.

I ignored him and continued watching Tasyra eat and chat with that farm guy, I was going to find out who he was. She had no right to talk to anyone, she was supposed to be working.

“You rejected the mate bond, Haden.” Gaya put in, obviously trying to make fun of me.

“What is your problem?” I angrily asked.

“Just want to know why you’re here monitoring the girl you rejected when we already have another girl we want to marry.”

“So when it comes to the rejection, it’s me. But for Zaryn, it becomes us?” I was getting irrit

“Good day, Alpha.” Fagel greeted, his head was bowed in respect. The Alpha shot daggers at him with his eyes, then he swept his heated gaze to me. It took all of my will not to tremble beneath his stare. My heart pounded viciously, my stomach churned nervously — I almost felt like throwing up Fagel’s food. I could not maintain gaze with him, so I had to lower my head. Not in respect like Fagel, but in fear. I should have stood my ground against taking a break, I had no right to according to the Alpha and his mother. I bit my lips, waiting for his brutal verdict. I was so shake my fear and nerves that I had to clasp my hands to prevent them from quivering.“I asked you a question, Tasyra. What are you doing?” His tone was low but the rage could still be heard in the voice.I kept mute, unable to reply, my head was still lowered. The ground was far more interesting than the foreboding expression he was wearing, and worse, it was aimed at me.“The Alpha is talking to you.” Zaryn stepped

“Does this mean Alpha Haden likes me, or did I mishear?” I pondered, wondering if there was a chance for me to be his Luna. The possessive tone in his voice when he asked Fagel to keep away lingered in my mind. As he was about to leave, our eyes locked, I couldn't help but notice, for the hundredth time, his striking sterling grey eyes. The gaze felt like being drawn into a profound, enigmatic ocean. His intense and captivating look held me spellbound, evoking a mix of emotions within me, love, admiration, fear, and resentment all at once.“Are you okay?” Fagel inquired as soon as the Alpha departed. His interruption pulled me out of my reverie, and I wasn't sure if I welcomed it. Drawing nearer and resting his hands on my right shoulder, he added, "I won't abandon you like the others, no matter what." His words brought to mind the numerous friends who had distanced themselves due to the shame and penalties they faced simply for being associated with me. "Thank you, Fagel," I replied,

“The Luna calls you.” A servant had told Tasyra.“T-the Luna?” Tasyra stuttered, “But why?” She continued as tears welled up in her eyes.“You should be used to trouble by now” the servant scoffed at her.Tasyra broke down crying. She knew a summon by the Luna was no good. She had been hiding her pregnancy from everyone including Fagel, and she somehow was sure the Luna would detect it. After minutes of sobbing, she braced up as she headed to the Luna’s place. She anticipated the worst. As Tasyra approached the Luna's manor, her palms grew sweaty. She was nervous and unsure of what to expect. “What have I done now?” she queried herself. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. It opened, and she was ushered in by a servant. She looked at the place she once served in before she was banished to labour on the farm. She noticed changes as the place was decorated with more luxurious furniture and expensive paintings. The Luna's place was without a doubt one of the most beautiful pl

  • My Alpha Mate    CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Tasyra had spent countless days confined within the oppressive walls of her prison cell. By now, she had fallen into a daily routine. Each morning, she would be abruptly awakened by a loud noise, jolting her from sleep, followed by the creaking of the iron doors of her cell as the guards arrived. She would then be escorted to an open field, where she and other male and female slaves would bathe. Afterwards, their oppressors would drag them to the farm, where they would toil without respite, water, or sustenance. At the end of the day, they would receive a meagre, unappetizing meal from a large pot, and they would all scramble to eat like animals before being returned to their cells without another bath. Initially, Tasyra would spend the entire day crying while working, and during mealtime, she would go without food. However, as time passed, she found strength in the thoughts of her child and fought harder when food was brought. One fateful day, while she was basking in the air in the

TasyraI sat in the dimly lit corner of the slave quarters, my heart pounding with a mix of fear and determination. I had been carefully crafting a plan to escape the fortress, and now, as I looked across at Fagel, my trusted friend and confidant, I knew that the time had come to share my audacious scheme.“Fagel,” I began, looking over to where he sat. We had snuck out and we were sharing our usual moments of companionship. My voice was low and urgent as I continued, “I've been thinking. We can't stay here any longer. We have to find a way to escape this place.”Fagel's eyes widened with surprise, and he leaned in closer, his expression a mix of concern and disbelief. “Tasyra!” He shushed, “You know how dangerous that would be. The risks are too great. We could be caught, or worse…”“I know,” I interrupted, my voice trembling with a mixture of desperation and determination. “But I can't bear to spend another day in this hellish place. We have to try, Fagel. We have to take a chance o

TasyraIn the dimly lit cell, Fagel and I found ourselves side by side, consumed by the whirlwind of thoughts that swirled through our minds. Each passing moment brought us closer to the foundation of our daring escape from the fortress that had bound us against our will. Yet, even in our plans, we knew caution was our ally, and our voices hushed from the fear of prying ears that lurked nearby.“We cannot discuss here; they will hear us,” Fagel cautioned me, breaking the grip of silence that enveloped our shared space. We intended to meet at our usual spot which had become our customary spot during the day to strategise, yet an unexpected divergence had disturbed our routine, leaving shadows of uncertainty in its wake.“Why didn't you arrive as originally planned?” I queried my expression, a tapestry woven with concern and curiosity, a reflection of the countless thoughts that jostled for attention in my mind.“I was called in by Alpha Haden,” Fagel responded, his words laced with an

"We need to gather information and wait for the right moment to come,” he stated as he threw in a chunk of food, chewing hastily I figured he assumed that I was quiet because I was trying to follow the plan. His eyes still showed his determination as he continued to talk, “We'll need to be smart about this, okay?” he said. “We can not afford to make any mistakes.”I saw his plan begining to take shape as he started to scribble on the ground drawing weird things to show me how we would escape. “First, we need to gather as much information as possible about how this fortress is built. We also need to know at what time and what places the guards usually are, and any weak points in the security system,” he explained. “Once we have a clear understanding of their weaknesses, we can start planning our escape route.”He watched as I listen intently, and from judging my mood, he asked me a question to know if my mind was already seei

LianeZaryn and I were spending a peaceful evening at our abode. The warm embrace of our cosy manor surrounded us, creating a comforting atmosphere as we happily sipped on our evening soup. The soft glow of the sunset bathed the room, casting a golden colour over everything and creating a peaceful environment that made us both happy. As we sat there, enjoying the quiet moment, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was the perfect time to share some important news with Zaryn. A new development with Tasyra had occurred, and I knew that I needed to discuss it with her. So I gathered my thoughts and made up my mind for the conversation that I knew would not end without a chaotic moment in the middle.Taking a deep breath, I met Zaryn's gaze “Zaryn,” I began, “There's something important that I need to tell you.”“Zaryn, are you even listening?” I asked, hoping to capture her attention. Her response was a distracted “I'm listening,” but her eyes were elsewhere, barely focused on our conver

Tasyra“I hate all of you!” I screamed repeatedly as the guards dragged me roughly to my cell. My skin brushed violently against the ground because I was resisting. “Leave me alone!” I screamed at the guards while I kicked.I was finally thrown into my cell. The little fire that was in it was taken away and I was locked up in the dark. I kept screaming and banging on the door for hours, but nobody came.I knew the stunt I pulled was a bold one, I knew I had insulted the seat of the Luna, but I didn't care. For years I have been made to suffer. I was twenty years old, but I looked like I was sixty. My skin was wrinkly and old. I had burns from the sun and wound marks from excessive work and punishment. Why was I treated like that? Ever since I knew myself, I had been a slave to the Luna and her family. I was born into captivity, I didn't know my mother nor my father and whenever I asked anyone, they would not reply because the Luna had ordered that no one spoke my mother's name.I hate

Alpha Haden The door of my room swung open with force, “Has everyone forgotten how to knock?” I questioned without looking at who did it“You asked Zaryn to leave your room? Is that how you will treat her when she becomes Luna?” Mother’s voice rang in my room“Not again!” I sighed in a low voice. I was not ready for an argument but I had to give a reply that would make sense to her so she could leave me to my thinking. “I was not feeling too well, I needed my space”“What space is greater than the company of your mate?” Mother saidI shrugged uncomfortably at the mention of the title mate. When I heard people call her my Luna, I could bear it because a Luna’s duty was mainly for the pack. But the title ‘mate’ irked me greatly, because if she was my mate, her duty is of great extent to me and I am equally expected to love her. To make matters worse, we would have to be lovers who would be intimate on occasion, “Eww,” I murmured in disgust Mother’s lips pursed, “You have a very poor a

Alpha HadenI saw four guards dragging Tasyra out of the guard quarters. She was stark naked and I wondered why she was not given a cloth to cover herself. Why was she treated so harshly and embarrassingly? I called out to the guards, “Stop! Find something and cover her up with it.” As they went to bring clothes for Tasyra, I looked away. I could not stare Tasyra straight in the eyes, I was somewhat disgusted at her.“Alpha Haden, I swear to the Moon goddess! I didn't do it! This is an implication! I did not sleep with him please, believe me!” Tasyra screamed trying to get my attention I didn't look at her, if I did I was sure I would cry and look like a weak Alpha. Something in me wanted to speak with her, but I could not just stand her at that moment. I thought of the possibility that she was framed, “Take her away” I instructed the guards. They dragged her away while she pleaded and shouted my name“Haden!” my mother's voice called out to me, but I ignored it. “Haden!” she called

LianeI looked at the sight of Tasyra lying pitifully on the ground after the impact of me pushing her.“You did this!” She screamed at meI was wowed, she got more courageous by the day. The more she displayed her contempt for me, the more I felt like I was losing my grip on her. I had to do something, she could not scream at me and go free, it would give her the impression that I was getting soft. “How dare you!” I bent down and gave her a huge slap, making sure that my overly-sized bangles also hit her face, leaving a mark of both my palm and my jewellery on her face. She screamed at the impact of the slap. I thought it would silence her, but she got up, grabbed my gown and continued screaming, “You framed me! What did I ever do to you? You make my life miserable every day! Why!? Why!?” I was flustered by her actions, she was tugging at my gown with immense strength and screaming on top of her voice. I had never seen her act like that and I could tell she was disoriented. Alpha HadenIt was very early in the morning. I got out of bed by 4 am and I decided to go to my usual place in the field for my early morning meditation. Before Gaya decided to stop talking to me, it was the both of us who did the meditation together.“Haden,” I heard a familiar voice call me, it was my mother.I turned to look at her and I smiled, “Mother”“Come, I need to show you something urgent,” there was an unusual calmness in her voice. If it was urgent, why were her emotions not speaking urgency?Standing up to my feet and following her, I replied, “What is the matter?”We walked in silence to the guard quarters and I wondered why. I was curious, I fought the urge to ask her where she was taking me, but I knew she would want me to be patient, that is how she was“Hello darling!” another familiar voice called out with a smile on her face as we were almost in the guards’ quarters, it was Zaryn. When I saw her, I raised an eyebrow. I tried to get to the hidden place where I and Fagel had stored our tools for escape. I was going to escape. Although I had discarded a few tools due to fear of being cut, I still had the map and notes on the guard routines. I was going to escape by hook or crook.I heard a blonde-haired girl gasp as I worked on my portion in the field. “He is dead!?” she asked her friend during their discussion, “How did you know?”“ I saw people gathered in front of his house and his wife was crying, so I decided to check” her friend who had brunette hair responded, “Garn was such a good man, he suffered a lot,” she sighed“Garn is dead?” I asked them in a high-pitched voice so they could hear me. ZarynMy descent into villainy had roots in my troubled past. I was not always a villain as people thought. I once had a loving mother who took care of me after I was born with a rare condition that made me weak and sickly. I was not like other werewolf pups and my sickness bothered my family. My father saw me as a burden and a disgrace, but my mother loved me unconditionally. She was the only one who cared for me and protected me from the harshness of the pack. After several treatments and prayers, my mother decided to take matters into her own hands. She took me to her werewolf pack, where a renowned medicine man lived. She hoped that he could find a cure for my ailment. Our hope was shattered when an enemy pack attacked us during our stay. The enemy pack were ruthless and bloodthirsty, and they slaughtered everyone in their path. My mother tried to shield me from the attackers during the war, but she was overpowered and killed. “Mother!” I screamed as I watched my mother's lifel

Zaryn“Wow!” I clapped repeatedly as I made my way into the room. I had heard Liane yelling and I rushed to find out why, but when I got there the scenery made me stand by the corner to watch with a wide smile of anticipation. I was disappointed that Liane had not ripped Tasyra's belly open and dragged that abomination of a child out of it, but how she spoke to Tasyra made me happy. I loved the way she made Tasyra tremble in fear, I loved that Tasyra was made to beg every time, I loved how she had torn Tasyra's skin with the knife and it only took self-control for me not to rush to Liane's hands and push the knife into Tasyra's gut.‘Zaryn!” Liane's cornflower blue eyes lit up as she made her way to the table and took a sip of her lemon tea.“Does the tea boost your confidence!” I asked her in admiration“Try it and see,” she said as she dropped the cup on the table. She stood up and walked towards me. “ Why did you come so early today? Did you miss your skincare routine,” she perked

But to my surprise, her anger quickly morphed into a cunning look.“You are a stubborn girl,” she said, her tone light and amused. “You have such strong convictions, and yet you are still an omega,” she scoffed I said nothing to her, I was just wondering why she suddenly stopped being angry, “What was the Luna up to?” I thought.“Tell me, Tasyra,” her voice lowered to a whisper, “How Would you like to be more than a slave? How would you like to have a better life?”I was taken aback by the Luna's question. I had never considered the possibility of having a better life. I had always tho
