Third Person Pov

"You know, you really shouldn't look at me like that, right Lydia?" Nicholas said, hating himself for being so bothered by the seductive look Lydia had on her face.

He had a feeling that she was doing it on purpose and the fact that he was still bothered by it despite knowing that she wanted him to be bothered, made him feel slightly irritated with himself.

"What look are you talking about?" Lydia asked, feigning innocence.

Nicholas shook his head. "That look that says that you obviously want to eat me," he teased, earning a light poke from Lydia.

"Does it make you uncomfortable when I act like this? Do you hate it or do you actually enjoy it but you're too afraid to admit it?" she asked, staring up at Nicholas, who simply chuckled at her question.

He knew that she was only trying to tease and tempt and even though she was messing with his head just by staring at him, he refused to fall for her antics and give her what she wanted.

Third Person Pov Everyone watched as Banzi the priest daringly approached Nicholas with a stern expression on his face. No one understood why he had suddenly yelled that the moon goddess was unhappy on such an auspicious day, and they were even more confused when he suddenly started to approach the Alpha. Nicholas didn't recognize who Banzi was, and he had no idea why this person had suddenly mentioned that the moon goddess was unhappy and why he was approaching him. He looked around and noticed the expression of familiarity on the people's faces, and he immediately noted that people around him already knew who this person was, and it seems they had an idea of why he was getting approached by this person. “Do you know this person?” Lydia whispered quietly as she watched Banzi walk toward them. She recognized him as soon as she saw him and knowing the reputation that Banzi had, she knew that there was no way he was up to any good. Banzi, the priest, was a popular name in town and

Third Person Pov Liam and Lydia escorted Nicholas into a private room to calm him down after they noticed that he was getting provoked by the chaos outside. After what Banzi said, every member of the pack started to mutter, and everything became even messier when Nicholas got accused of protecting his mother and even going as far as burying her beside his father. It was against the rules to bury a dethroned Luna anywhere near the royal family grave, but according to Banzi's accusation, Nicholas was accused of burying his mother at the Royal family grave even when he knew that it was against the pack rules. Nicholas was very upset when he heard this accusation, and he had almost reacted but just before he could attack Banzi, Lydia stepped in quickly, and held on to him to calm him down before signaling Liam to help her so that they could escort him out. They intended to get him out of the party and get him back home to The Palace, but Nicholas refused to go back home, and he chose

Third Person Pov Liam had given Lydia and Nicholas privacy and gone back to sort out the mess that was created at the party. Nicholas had wanted to be alone because he had a lot on his mind, but he couldn't possibly tell Lydia to leave. He knew that he was the one who kept her here in the first place, and it would be selfish of him to ask her to leave, knowing that he was the reason she stayed behind. Both Lydia and Nicholas were seated on the sofa in the room, and Lydia could sense that Nicholas was worried and unhappy. She didn't know what to say to him that could lift his mood, but she was trying to avoid saying anything that would upset him because she knew that his tolerance was very low at the moment. “I'm so sorry that you have to be here to deal with all of this,” Nicholas suddenly said to Lydia's surprise, and she looked back at home with a confused expression on her face. “And what exactly is it you're apologizing for?” she asked, wondering what it was that he felt sorr

Lydia Nicholas had left to speak with Liam on something that, I assumed, was important, especially since Liam had a serious look on his face and I stayed behind for a while, waiting for him to get back and avoiding going out of the room. I knew that if I made the mistake of going out just to look around, I was going to get questioned by several of the pack members, and I wasn't ready to answer any questions or deal with judgmental stares. I took a good look around the room and then, I proceeded to lie down on the sofa for a bit since I was feeling a little tired and stressed out. I was just about to fall asleep when I heard voices coming from the front of the door. I immediately sat up and paid attention to the voices, and one of the voices sounded very familiar. Nina? I wondered to myself as I heard her familiar voice speaking to someone else whose voice I didn't recognize. I initially wanted to go out to confirm if it was really Nina, but then I decided to wait behind a bit an

Third Person Pov Lydia and Nicholas decided to leave the rooms and head to the forest area behind the hills. Nicholas was sick and tired of several people trying to speak to him at the same time, so he quickly found a way to escape from all of them and propose that he and Lydia leave the rooms should somebody else come looking for him. Lydia didn't bother to object because she was also quite uncomfortable with staying in the room, knowing that a lot of people already realized where they were and could show up at any time to start interrogating her. She had seen Nina earlier after her conversation with Carmen, and they had spoken for a few minutes before she had to excuse herself from Nina because of Nicholas. She assured Nina that she was going to talk to her about everything and explain things to her when she got back, but she still wasn't sure of what she was going to say and how she was going to get Nina to realize that she wasn't who everyone else thought she was. “Hey, are y

Third Person Pov“Are you always so blunt and direct with your questions?” Nicholas asked, unable to believe that Lydia could be so direct without having any sort of filter. The things that came out of her mouth and the questions that she usually asked were things that always surprised him because he couldn't possibly say such things without cringing. “Didn't I just mention a few minutes ago that I'm very expressive with what I want and what I think and yes, I have no filter, and I'm always going to be direct with whatever it is I want to say? Now, since I might not be getting such an opportunity ever again, I'm going to use the one I have not asked questions and I will ask and one of them is, have you ever been with a woman before?” Lydia responded, having no intention of backing down with her question. She could easily tell that he was trying to figure out a way to avoid answering her, but there was absolutely no way she was going to let that happen because his reaction had only

Lydia I unconsciously ran my thumb over the skin of Nicholas's soft lips, waiting for him to claim my mouth in his. As perverted as it may seem, making out with him had been on my mind all night, and I couldn't wait to see how far we would go. I could hear his heavy breathing, and I knew at that point that it was only a matter of seconds before he gave in to temptation. It was actually frustrating to see him trying so hard to hold himself back, but I kept pushing anyway because I had no intention of leaving without getting what I wanted. My fingertips hover over his lips and his knee is pressed against mine with his hands still firmly on my waist. “I've got to give it to you. You really know the best way to get into a man's head,” Nicholas muttered, his breath tickling my already desperate lips that wanted his lips so badly. “It seems I haven't gotten into your head enough since we're still talking,” I replied, frustrated by the fact that he was still mentally strong enough to

Lydia I had definitely woken up on the wrong side of the bed because no matter how hard I tried to snap myself out of my bad mood, I always found myself acting all cranky again and being angry at anything and everything around me. I completely disliked the fact that my mood was this way because it wasn't allowing me to concentrate on the things that I needed to concentrate on, and it was also making me act weirdly toward every person around me.My mood had been this way since yesterday, and I knew that it was because of how things had played out between Nicholas and me. After Nicholas and I got back from the party, we both went our separate ways, with neither one of us bothering to say anything to the other. He was obviously avoiding talking to me and because I had reached my limit of shamelessness, I also made up my mind not to say anything to him and that was how we both got back home without saying a word to each other. Fortunately for me, he already informed Martha that he was

Lydia As the anticipation swirled around me, I paced back and forth in my private dressing room, my heart fluttering like a bird trapped in a cage. The grand ceremony was about to commence, marking not only the union between Nicholas and me but also my ascension as the new Luna of the Pack. Excitement and nerves danced the tango within me, creating a whirlwind of emotions. To quell my restless energy, I reached for a glass of water and took a sip, the cool liquid soothing my parched throat. But no matter how much I drank, my nervousness persisted. I continued my pacing, back and forth, back and forth, willing myself to find a semblance of calm.Just as I was beginning to lose myself in the rhythmic motion, a gentle knock on the door startled me from my thoughts. I hurriedly composed myself and called out, "Come in."The door creaked open, and Amara, the Beta female, and a dear friend, entered the room. I wanted to rush to help her in but knowing how she was and she preferred to re

Third Person Pov A Month Later… Lydia's eyes fluttered open, the first rays of dawn streaming through the curtains and casting a soft glow in her room. She stretched her limbs, relishing in the warmth of her bed for a few moments longer before slowly sitting up. As she sat up, the weight of her new role as the Luna of the Pack settled upon her, and she was immediately hit with a mix of joy and uncertainty. For the first ten minutes, Lydia found herself lost in thought as she gazed out of her bedroom window. The view of the sprawling forest beyond the palace grounds never failed to captivate her, offering a sense of solace amidst the whirlwind of emotions she now faced. She still couldn't fathom the fact that in just a few days, she would be crowned officially as the new Luna, standing by Nicholas's side as his mate and partner.Everything had changed since Nicholas's return, and sometimes Lydia struggled to keep up with the rapid shifts in her life. Yet, a sense of profound hap

Third Person Pov Henrietta paced restlessly in her opulent room, her anger smoldering like a hidden flame. The realization that Nicholas, the stepson she had tried so hard to eliminate, had returned from the dead, killed her lifelong partner, and now held her captive, gnawed at her insides. It was inconceivable, a twisted nightmare that had somehow materialized into reality. She glanced around her luxurious surroundings, a stark contrast to the bitterness that seethed within her. The walls seemed to close in, suffocating her, as the weight of her actions bore down upon her, leaving her in total disbelief. She had foolishly allowed herself to believe that she had successfully gotten rid of Nicholas from her life, but fate had other plans in store which made her even angrier. Her thoughts were interrupted by a sharp knock on the door, and Priscilla burst into the room, her eyes ablaze with fury. The air crackled with tension as mother and daughter locked eyes."You lying fraud!" Pri

Nicholas I hurriedly walked down the prison hallway, trying to get to Lydia as quickly as possible and see how she was doing. Every step I took felt heavy with anticipation and I also couldn’t help the guilt I felt as I got closer to seeing her again. I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had failed her by taking so much time and letting her remain locked for so long. I didn’t even want to imagine how tired and frustrated she must be feeling right now and seeing how I haven’t been able to reach other to her via mindlink or get a feel of her emotions, it could only mean she was too weak to receive my attempt to talk or, she could have blocked me from reaching her. After what felt like forever, I finally arrived in front of the cell she was locked in and as soon as I did, I sensed that her presence was fragile. "Unlock the cell," I instructed the guard, mentally preparing myself to have every one of them fired for disrespecting my mate. The guard seemed a little surprised to see

Third Person PovIt was a dark, moonless night when Henrietta slipped out of her chambers in plain clothes and with a small bag slung over her shoulder. As much as she had always tried to act nonchalant and unbothered by Gerald and whatever he was up to, Gerald was the one person besides her daughter, Priscilla, that she couldn't live without. And because she hadn't heard anything from him in a while, which was unusual, she believed she needed to go see him for herself and put her uneasy feeling at ease.As she made her way out of the palace, she attempted to go through the secret passage to avoid coming across any guards who would find her attempt to sneak out at night suspicious. However, when she arrived at the passage, she was shocked to see two guards in front of it. She was certain they weren't assigned to guard the passageway because to the best of her knowledge and with how long she had been using the passageway as her getaway route, she had always believed that no one, not e

Third Person Pov Henrietta had not been able to get over the fact that she hadn't heard from Gerald in almost two days, despite the fact that they had agreed to meet up yesterday and figure out how to, without evidence, announce to the general public that Nicholas had passed and use it as a chance to coronate Priscilla as the next Alpha. She had tried reaching him through several means and even sent her men to visit but according to them, no one had seen Gerald the last few days and since his guards weren't allowed into his house without permission, they couldn't confirm if he was home or out. She tried not to think that anything bad could have happened to him but for some reason, she wasn't having a very good feeling about his sudden absence especially because she knew that Gerald would never suddenly disappear at such an important moment. "What is it, Mother?" Priscilla asked as she walked in, distracting Henrietta from her thoughts. "What do you mean?" Henrietta replied, not e

Third Person Pov Amara clutched her walking stick firmly as she moved across the complex halls of the palace. She had never walked through the palace's opulent halls before, and it was daunting, considering the fact that she was blind and also considering the fact that she disliked the mere thought of being here and being seen. Still, she was determined to visit her friend Lydia, who had been imprisoned unjustly for over a week now, and bring her some food and water since she doubted that the guards would feed her proper food. Amara’s heightened senses were her only guide as she made her way down the long and winding corridors of the palace. She relied on her super-sensitive hearing, touch, and smell to navigate her way to the prison area without being seen by anyone. She already had a backup plan just in case she'd get caught but she preferred not to be seen by anyone at all to avoid her worst nightmare coming to light. The unfamiliar surroundings were a challenge even for her

  • My Alpha Mate Hates Me    Chapter 133

Third Person Pov Nicholas glared down at Gerald's almost lifeless body, his eyes reflecting a mix of emotions, including anger, hatred, and a strange sense of satisfaction. The man lying in front of him was also one of the people responsible for what led to his mother getting killed unjustly and the pain and frustration that Gerald, with the aid of Henrietta, had caused him over the years was something that Nicholas had never for one second forgotten. Seeing Gerald lying there, in his own pool of blood, cold and on the verge of dying, gave him a sense of partial closure that he didn't know he needed, and as demented as it may sound, he was ecstatic that he got to kill Gerald himself and watch him die a painful death. Gerald was barely breathing, and from the blood that kept pouring out of his mouth, it was clear to Nicholas that time was running out and that Gerald would be a thing of the past in only a few seconds. Gerald knew Nicholas was staring down at him and despite finding

Nicholas's Pov I moved stealthily over the fence surrounding Gerald's house which was located far into town and away from most houses in town. One would think a wealthy and corrupt thief like Gerald would have his house located near the palace since he was so obsessed with the place, but surprisingly, after I kicked him out, he chose to buy himself a house that was very far away from the palace. Of course, I knew he probably only did it to follow Henrietta's instruction cause I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have agreed for her lover to buy a house in a place that was too close to hers, where they could easily be seen by others. The night sky was already pretty dark, and fortunately for me, the guards at the main gate were seemingly occupied with something else, so neither of them heard any sound from my direction.I expected Gerald, knowing how paranoid he was, to have his house swamped with guards but, to my surprise, the place was not as heavily guarded as I had anticipated.
