Chapter 46: Emerald's Work

I woke up so early this morning to start my day with a little training. I'm getting stronger each day and this is a good sign. My son, Jacob, woke up early as well. I carried him in my arms and went outside the house, but I made sure I took the area away from James' cabin.

“What's your plan for today?” Lilian asked me. I furrowed my brows and then took a deep breath.

"I don't know, Lilian. After the training later, I'll try my best to look for a job. We can't stay in this pack without doing anything,” I replied, and Lilian nodded her head.

I went back to my cabin to bring Jacob back to Cassandra. I realized that it's maybe the perfect time for me to find a job. We can't just depend on the pack's free food and water.

I have to save up money for my son. Time will come and Jacob will grow. The expenses will also increase, and I can't just rely on Gideon. He's giving me money, but I don't want to just rely on it. I need work. A work that can sustain my son's needs.
