“Why do you have to do this to me, Gideon!?”

I closed the book that I was reading about dark magic just to look at the woman who just arrived inside my office. My brows were furrowed when I saw Selene, her eyes covered with tears.

She was crying like a weak bullsh*t. I rose from sitting to face her, my arms were crossed.

“You dared to hurt Emerald, remember?” I asked in my cold tone.

Selene messed up her hair out of distressed. I can't stop shaking my head while looking at her.

“It's because she was trying to take you from me. You promised me, Gideon, that you will make me your Luna. You told me that you will marry me if I do what you want!” Selene growled.

I shook my head in disbelief, not taking my eyes off her. I can't imagine she can still remember the things that I promised to her a year ago. It's supposed to be forgotten because things have changed now. My plans from a year ago had already changed when Emerald came into my life.
