Ciara’s POV
It took a few hours and I arrived at Beverly Pack. I was going to the pack house to sign my name in the registry as an intending pack resident together with Nancy.
I glared around at the airport, looking for direction when I spotted someone.
A tall, handsome man with black wavy hair, with a romantic yet domineering aura stood from the distance glaring at me.
He raised his hand at me, waving into the air.
“Hello Ciara.”
My heart stopped beating as I widened my eyes the more, seeing it’s the Alpha of this pack himself. I shrieked in awe.
“Why are you here?” I asked in surprise. “Alpha Bestian?”
“Well, I decided to welcome the newest member of my pack, Beverly Pack myself. I got notified that you left your pack for mine. It’s an honor to have you here.”
My heart glowed and a warm smile pulled up from my lips. “Woww, but I’m just coming in as a resident to do business. Were you tracking my flight or?”
“Yes, my wolf could–”
“Huh?”
“My wolf has always longed for you.” I felt it was a lie, he's teasing me. How could his wolf tell him when I left my pack?
I was speechless. “We should go to the pack house first,” I said to him because I felt that if I continued to listen to these romantic words from him, my knees would grow weak and I’d have to be carried by him.
We settled in his living room after the registration, he said he had a lot to tell me but I could guess what all those were.
He likes me!
Right from college.
“Should I say it’s the moon goddess that has directed you here to my pack.”
I blushed.
“Because you like me?”
The blush was getting wider, I had to control it. I shook my head. “I feel it’s because you welcome more immigrants than other packs. I came to do business and then–” I lingered, looking for a way to spit this out.
“You're his best friend.” I flinched my face away immediately after saying this.
I knew he had always been looking for a way to be close with me like this, but I wasn’t ready for another heartbreak, before choosing another mate, it would be a careful consideration.
“So you have a place you can suggest for me to live and do my business?” I put up a straight face.
“Hmm,” he smiled. I lowered my gaze on him wondering where he was heading to.
“There’s nothing wrong if you stay here in the pack house, it’s quite large and I have no Luna.”
I chuckled. “I’m just an immigrant treated badly by my ex, I can’t just pick you up as my new mate.”
I’d merely said this when I received a call from Henry, the security guard I’d ask to update me on whatever is going on.
“Hello Henry, what’s up?”
“My Luna.” He called out. Again, the name that always drew me back to Alexio. I hated it, but wasn’t bold enough to admit it for now.
“The Alpha is in a deep mess after your massive reveal.” He said. “He is currently facing judgement and might be stripped of his position as an alpha.” He added. “More than that, he might be sentenced to many years in the dungeon for the attempted murder. The council has seen this, even the lycan king.”
“Is this really happening?” I asked myself. “What about Camilla?” I asked him. My heart beat triple fast with excitement. This is what I wanted.
“Camilla is on the run with all his money. She could not stay anymore after the reveal because she knew she would be sent to the dungeon or hanged, so she ran away.”
Whaaaattt????
“She however taunted him openly before then. It’s all over the internet too.” He explained.
“I heard she sneaked into his private room, got the key to his drawer, grabbed his cheque already signed and stamped and wrote almost all of his remaining money.”
“Huh?”
“She came back to the estate and asked him to marry her as soon as possible since you left.”
“I’m pretty sure Alexio didn’t have any problem with that?”
“Yes, he did.” Henry snapped. “But she requested a three hundred thousand monthly stipend, without fail.”
The audio began to play in the background.
“I never thought you could be so lenient to write such a huge amount to that bitch!” By her voice, she was really angry.
“I did that because you said I should, that you would get it back.” He replied to her, but she waved it off.
“Let’s get married and you will treat me to more goodies. Three hundred thousand dollars monthly.” She demanded.
“Huh?” Alexio gasped loudly. “For?” He swayed his hands, surprised and shocked.
“Yes,” Camilla replied firmly. “If not, I’m not going to marry you. I’m after your money. What do you think I'll do with a stingy man who can't fund my lifestyle?” She confessed.
Boom!
I felt like this was a very great judgment to him since I was a good Luna and wife, yet he said he wanted his sexy Beta.
After that confrontation, she walked out on him and that was where the video ended.
Henry told me it was after that encounter that the videos I posted became viral and people started protesting at Alpha Alexio’s house.
The council called to meet with him immediately and when he went, it was the perfect time for Camilla to take all his money and leave the pack secretly.
According to him, Alexio had nothing now. It all happened with a twinkle of an eye and if nothing is done would basically live like a pauper.
Just as he ended the call and I met witn Alpha Bestian, I was video called by Alpha Alexio.
At first, I didn’t want to answer, but when I remembered that Alpha Bestian was with me and I could put up the best show for him, I quickly did.
“Please come back to me, I’m gonna get paralyzed if I don’t see you.” He said immediately I took the call, his eyes red from many tears.
I chuckled even further, hurting him obviously.
Just then, Alpha Bestian walked to me, clearly visible to Alpha Alexio now. My lips were fighting to suppress the grin that was bubbling up. Alexio needed to see that I was with his best friend.
“Who is that?” Alexio asked me.
I was shy but managed to get it off and pulled Alpha Bestian closer, put on the blurry face filter and kissed Bestian in the video call with him watching.
“This is the reason I can’t come back.”
I smiled at Alexio as I pulled off this sinister move that virtually ripped his heart out and crushed it as a stone.
Ciara’s POV Then I cut the call, pushing Bestian away with a laugh and trying to wipe my mouth with a witty face. “Let’s pretend we didn’t kiss,” I chuckled. “It was just for show.” Bestian frowned as I said this. His eyes darkened with disappointment. We sat opposite each other for almost an hour without saying anything, just blushing and stealing glances at each other. Then my phone rang again. I picked it up and it was Henry. “You again?” I suspected Alpha Alexio was behind the call this time. I blocked his two lines after the call and knowing Henry was my close friend, he might have come through him. “Hello,” I growled. “Hello Luna.” “Henry, stop calling me that. I’m no longer Luna but Camilla.” I said it out loud, mocking Alexio as I suspected he must be there. I was also happy I could finally get that off my chest. “Say what you want to say.” I exerted a tone of seriousness. “Is your Alpha there with you?”“Yes.” I grinned. I wanted him to hear me mock him, he must re
Ciara’s POV The lifeless body of my five year old son was the most shocking and painful thing I had ever seen since I was born. He was killed by invading rouges due to his father, Alpha Alexio’s negligence. Alpha Alexio was my mate and together, we shared the task of being there for my son. He usually came home in the afternoon, after work to be with our Jake, while I went out to sort things out for the family. Our pack, Aman Pack, was constantly under attack due to the rogue war and we both needed to keep our son safe. Things however changed when Beta Camilla came to the pack, from the United States and began working in his company as his secretary. Before now she has been acting as his Beta from abroad. All of a sudden, she came back. He began keeping late nights and sometimes, would not even come home.until the next day. It did not just make it lonely for me, but also dangerous because only he knew how to fight the rouges off, no matter how many they were. “Stop being paranoid
Ciara’s POV “Take this!” I threw his son’s clothes at him. They were both shocked to see me there, seeing as they were locking lips when I arrived before them. “You have returned?!” The Alpha Asked me, his heart racing. “Yes I have, a week after those rogues almost killed me and made me lose my children. I expected to see you in a caring state, at least planning vengeance on those who took our children, but this is what I see?!” I said to him. “You’re being over dramatic!” He replied, barking at me. Tears begin to roll down my eyes. “You know what? I am done. I cannot be with an Alpha who has found another Luna for himself. Let me, myself, go after my new Alpha.” Turning around, I stormed off. Even upon hearing him shout my name, I didn’t even look back. I went into my room and quickly began packing. I was going to leave this Aman pack to another pack where I would have peace. I couldn’t keep seeing my mate cheat on me openly with another woman, coupled with the painful death o
Ciara’s POV When I was about to leave, something brushed up my mind. I’d participated in a monthly saving contribution organised by my friend, this month being the last month of the year was one I would be receiving my money. I walked out of the room to the bathroom and placed a call on her quickly to check if I could get my money today. “Hi Kate,” I called as the call timer popped up. “Yes Luna,” she responded in her usual friendly voice. It was hurting to hear people call me Luna, even when I was leaving the Alpha. “What’s up? Hope everything is fine.” I chuckled but the urge to go straight to the point erupted in my mind. “Please I’ll love to get all my money, it’s an emergency and I should be traveling off the pack soon.” “What? What’s wrong?” Kate’s voice sounded panicked but it wasn’t the time for explanation. “Okay, if you agree to give me the money today, then I’ll explain.” I said with high hopes since she seemed too curious. “Well,” her voice sounded gloomy. My hop
Ciara’s POV Alpha Alexio rose up, so speechless. His lips hung wide open. “How can you ask for half of my money? Are you insane?” He barked, trying to instill fear, but I was way over that now. “If you keep arguing, it means you want us to settle outside of here, before the pack elders.” I stiffened my face, he dared to frighten me but I stood my ground.“You either pay me the money here or we leave for their council now!” Camilla sprung up. “You can’t take his money. Besides, you’re the one leaving, not him chasing you out.” She said to me. “Wonder which pack you're even going to without a transfer document.” She smirked, crossing her arms over her chest. I chuckled. She isn't aware of what I'm doing. Trying to kill two birds with a stone and already won with the first. “I am leaving because he has chosen another mate!” I replied to her. “Well, there’s no proof. We haven’t made it official yet. I can just lie that we aren’t together and you will go with nothing.” Alexio said,
