Silence hung between us, Charlie and Harrison that was the last thing I was expecting. In training he was always messing around and talking about a girl from another town, no one believed him as we never saw her but it made sense why he was always leaving the village randomly.
I was still raging, he had continued to let her live in appalling conditions even though he pretended he didn't know, it would have been impossible for him to have missed the markings on her body. What was worse is that he had somehow convinced her to lose her virginity to him. There were questions I wanted to ask but every time I glanced over she was staring out her window.
“Why are you royalty?” her question came from nowhere but at least she was talking to me
“It is a ruse, it is how we have lived so peacefully for so long and kept our kind hidden from the humans”
Her head moves up and down slowly, “But why royalty?”

Alexander’s POV I never thought I would have to be burying my father already, it was hard watching him be lowered into the ground, harder listening to my mother cry. Max was stood slightly in front of me, holding Charlies hand and as everyone submits to him as our new Alpha including myself. Thank you so much for reading everyone, I really appreciate it and would be grateful for any reviews or feedback. I have really enjoyed writing this book and loved every moment of it, but the story is far from over and book two will be coming out soon following Charlie’s quest in finding her hybrid mother and discovering what happens with Alpha Zach as well as what it means to be Queen of the Lycans. Does Charlie find her way back to Max or does she choose Alpha Zach? Will Max stand by his vow? Only time will tell.

Max’s POVDamon’s pack had retreated, many had lost their lives from both packs and as the survivors helped the worst wounded, I started to look for Charlie. Charlie’s POV The fight continues and yet I still have not seen my father, he would be easy to spot as he looks exactly like me. The Lycans were mostly dark colours when shifted and were easy to spot, a little difficult to figure out who was fighting who but my father was definitely not among them which made me anxious. Charlie’s POVI couldn’t think, I couldn’t eat and I barely slept.
