Max’s POVI couldn’t believe my brother would try something so stupid and I was ready to kill him! As soon as I started filling the glass of water, I felt it. Max’s POV Agreeing to let her go was the biggest struggle I had ever faced, now she was marked it felt like I had more pressure to protect her, plus I had Ripper calling me all the names under the sun for letting her go. When she finally contacted us, we both breathed a sigh of relief and I felt him relax as much as I did. Charlie could not tell us where she was but she said she was safe and unharmed and with that she cut the mind link and there seemed to be no presence of her heat. Charlie’s POVIt was strange being here with Kiwi, she spent most of her time trying to please me, sometimes bringing me small trinkets, other times constantly hovering. Alexander’s POVIt was strange in the packhouse, don’t get me wrong I am enjoying my time with Kayla, even more now she has moved into my room, what was strange was seeing Max moping about. Normally he was so head strong, so confident yet without his mate he seemed like a lost puppy.I knew he was communicating with Charlie as he told us so, and she was getting better at using her powers but there was still no sign of her returning home and until the Luna ritual was completed, Max was the only one able to speak to her which is extremely frustrating.As the days passed, Max’s anger continued to grow and he would take his anger out on any little thing that pissed him off. There had been a few times where I had to jump in and defend Kayla and prevent her getting injured.As much as I enjoyed how blunt Kayla was, Max didn’t appreciate it and as much as I told her to be careful around him, she could not help expressing her opinion.

Thank you so much for reading everyone, I really appreciate it and would be grateful for any reviews or feedback. I have really enjoyed writing this book and loved every moment of it, but the story is far from over and book two will be coming out soon following Charlie’s quest in finding her hybrid mother and discovering what happens with Alpha Zach as well as what it means to be Queen of the Lycans. Does Charlie find her way back to Max or does she choose Alpha Zach? Will Max stand by his vow? Only time will tell.

Max’s POVDamon’s pack had retreated, many had lost their lives from both packs and as the survivors helped the worst wounded, I started to look for Charlie. She was nowhere to be seen along with Alpha Zach, some of the guards inform me that she went inside the packhouse.Entering the house, there was a lot of commotion and I follow the sound to the bedroom Kiwi was being locked in. Charlie’s POV The fight continues and yet I still have not seen my father, he would be easy to spot as he looks exactly like me. The Lycans were mostly dark colours when shifted and were easy to spot, a little difficult to figure out who was fighting who but my father was definitely not among them which made me anxious. Charlie’s POVI couldn’t think, I couldn’t eat and I barely slept.
