Chapter 16: A discovered enemy

Avery's POV

It was a bright Monday morning, as I got to the company, I stood for a few minutes admiring the magnificent Jason's company before going up to my office.

The Jason company stood in all its glory, a seven-story building with about twenty-nine offices.

The company was my grandfather’s pride, his father before him had started the company before handing it over to him. It would have been handed over to my father if he hadn't died early.

Now the burden of continuing the legacy of this great company was resting on my shoulders, I couldn’t let my grandfather down.

I got to my office where a folder was waiting for my signature. I had recently passed a proposal for an expansion of our New York office.

Unfortunately, some of the workers we had hired over the last month had either resigned or stopped coming to the office.

I couldn’t help but wonder what the issue was, a lot of money had been put into this expansion project and I couldn’t let it fail.
