Chapter 582

When she saw Megan, Dora displayed unusually warm enthusiasm toward her. She held her hand and led her toward the restaurant with an affectionate demeanor that seemed even closer than sisters.

Although Megan wasn't accustomed to physical contact with unfamiliar people, she endured the discomfort she felt and allowed Dora to settle her into a chair.

During the meal, Dora apologized first, saying, "I was so scared that day. When I saw Winston, it felt like I was grasping at a lifeline, so I ended up speaking out of turn. Megan, you're not jealous, are you?"

Megan's uneasiness didn't stem from jealousy, as she never suspected Winston of having any other feelings for her. The insecurity she felt was because of Winston and his ex-wife Blossom. It had nothing to do with Dora.

But of course, Megan wouldn't tell Dora about this. "Everyone has moments when they need help. I trust Winston's character, and I trust you, Ms. Cruz," she replied succinctly.
