Ever since John was diagnosed with late-stage cancer, Leah could not focus at work. It was only reasonable for her to resign.

On a Monday morning, Celeste left the pantry holding a cup of coffee. She bumped into Leah, who was carrying a paper box and about to wait for the lift.

In the few days she had not seen her, Leah seemed more languish than usual. When she saw Celeste, she couldn't bring herself to say anything mean to her.

Celeste wasn't happy to see her miserable all of a sudden either.

"This isn't over yet." When they brushed past each other, Leah suddenly said with a hoarse and low voice.

"You're wrong, Ms. Sullivan. I have never wished for bad things to happen to you." Celeste was being truthful. Her mother's resentment was so great that she had to place all her focus on attacking the York family. She had never bothered herself with Leah.
