Chapter One Hundred And Thirty Eight

Adriana’s POV

The next few days fleeted past uneventfully. Ever since that misunderstanding with Massimo happened, I haven’t seen him. It was as if he had disappeared off the surface of the earth, leaving nothing but an eerily quiet house behind.

Truthfully, I missed him, way more than I had expected to and I wanted him to come back from wherever he must’ve gone but no matter how many times I tried to reach him, I couldn’t. I was frustrated.

Caden on the other hand had stopped calling but I didn’t know whether to be happy about that or be afraid. What if he had shown the pictures to Massimo? Thus the reason the other had refused to come back home?

All these and many more thoughts flew around my head, making me confused and afraid at the same time.

I contemplated calling Caden to reach an agreement with him but knowing how crazy he was, I quickly thought against it.
