Chapter 70 A Battle of Dominance Between Women

Isabelle couldn't stop crying and Carl simply stood in front of her silently. He didn't say anything nor did he kick her out of his office.

Violet snuck a peek into the office when she heard Isabelle crying but from her angle, she could only see Carl's face.

His expression was equal parts sadness, guilt, and helplessness. Combined, it was an extremely complicated expression.

Violet blinked as she held her mug. The mug was still warm but her heart had frosted over.

She knew that this was an inevitable process. Her relationship with Carl could only officially start after he got over his affection for Isabelle.

Despite that, she still felt irritated. She reminded herself that she shouldn't fall too deeply but now it seemed as if she couldn't control her own heart.
