Chapter Twenty Eight
I met Toby in town at the coffee shop. It was late, and the sun was already setting. He suggested grabbing something to drink and then going for a little walk. It seemed like a nice sweet idea.
We headed to the Park, and as the sun set completely, and the moon was nice and bright, Toby pulled me in for a passionate and loving kiss.
I had to pull away before we got too carried away and I couldn’t help but smile. I smiled everytime I looked at him. He just made me so incredibly happy.
‘So, what is this thing I need to see?’ I was DYING to know what this secret of his was. He was so cryptic earlier about it and I just couldn’t forget about it all day. What was so serious that he needed to SHOW me and could
Chapter Twenty Nine I spent most of the night tossing and turning, I just couldn’t switch off. It was like my mind was so into overdrive, I didn’t know how to process what I saw or how to think rationally about it. When I did manage to get some sleep, I had nightmares. Nightmares unsurprisingly about wolves and Jason and Toby turning into a monster and ripping me apart. Reliving all the horrible memories that I wished I could just forget. I was scared. I was really genuinely scared. AND CONFUSED! I was completely disgusted with myself, I mean… He was a ‘’wolf’’. He was basically a fucking animal! It was weird and twisted and It was just making everything harder to process. I felt so stupid, I remembered the comments the guys made abou
Note: Chapter 29 will be posted when it's been approved by my editor :) I noticed some people asking when previous chapters will be up that were waiting for approval. ALL chapters except 29 as of now (14th March) are posted. Thanks, guys! :)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Chapter ThirtyNo, I wasn't having this. I quickly finished my breakfast and grabbed my bag. Completely ignoring Toby and my parents.‘It's fine, I’ll walk’. I wouldn’t. I’d text Thomas and ask him for a lift. I was on his way anyway, and school wasn’t walking distance, but at this rate, I WOULD rather walk than him giving me a lift. What was he going to do? Shift into a dog and l
Chapter Thirty OneAs soon as Toby pulled into the School parking lot and found a space, I jumped out of the car and hurried off. The parking lot was around the back, and while teachers had their own area, a lot of the students drove. I was able to rush off into the crowd and found comfort in the fact Toby wouldn’t be able to follow me. He hadn’t even had a chance to turn the engine off before I was gone.I only stopped to catch my breath when I made it to the front entrance. I went in before Toby had a chance to catch up.Walking through the crowd of students all rushing to find their lockers or friend groups, I got little snippets of other people's conversations. Becca Sanders’ brother died in a car crash over the summer, something I had heard about on the news alr
Chapter Thirty Two By the time lunchtime rolled around, I was well and truly sick of school. All I had heard all day, even from my friends, was how attractive one of the new teachers was. Sophie also wouldn’t stop asking if I was ok like she knew something was wrong. I knew she meant well, but it was starting to piss me off a little bit. I went into the canteen to get some food before joining my friends on their usual patch of grass out on the field. The weather was so lovely still, even though summer had technically ended, that most of the students and staff were out here relaxing too. ‘Not hungry?’ Thomas asked, looking down at my simple sandwich and bottle of water. I shook my head. I really wasn't. Maybe it was all the stress recently, but I’ve barely been hungry the past few days.
Chapter Thirty ThreeToby’s Point of ViewAll day, classes full of students have been coming and going. It was nice being back in this environment again. I loved summer, but I did miss my job, but this is a whole new school, which meant I had to repeat myself over and over and over for hours. I wasn’t stupid and I wasn’t deaf. I was also well aware that I was probably one of the few good looking teachers in this school, as vain as that sounded, which meant, I had a lot of attention from students. In every class I had taught today, at least 3 or 4 of the girls, and even a few guys, had made comments about me to their friends… The kids weren't as quiet as they thought they were.Under normal circumstances, I’d be flattered, but of course, I’d nev
Chapter Thirty FourViolet’s Point of ViewAfter I sent that text message, I did start to already feel slightly better but not completely. I waited for him to arrive, but in the meantime, I just kept my eyes closed, trying not to have a full blown anxiety and panic attack.I was struggling... Until I heard the door of the classroom open and close.‘Violet?’ As soon as I heard Toby’s voice, I jumped up from my hiding place and stumbled in the dark to find him. Reaching my arms out, feeling around for him. The second I touched him, I wrapped my arms tight around him and just sobbed. He just held me back tightly, shushing me and stroking my back.He didn’t speak or ask me what was wrong or r
Chapter Thirty FiveWe stayed, sat in silence, with me in his arms for as long as we could, but it was still a little awkward. I had to address the elephant in the room, or rather... Wolf…‘I’m not going to tell anyone your secret’. I told him honestly.‘I know you wouldn’t. You’re not that vindictive’. I couldn’t help but smile. He knew me so well. It meant a lot that he trusted me so much, even now… after everything.‘I do love you, so so much, I just don’t know if I can move past this’.‘I know and I understand. Trust me, I will wait for you’.‘W
Chapter Thirty SixViolet’s Point of ViewI sat down at the work bench and just pulled all my necessary books out of my bag. It was a carry on lesson from before summer. My science class hadn’t changed, so all my books were still relevant. I wasn’t really paying attention, I just drifted off and once again stared out the window. The teacher was rambling away in the background, but I couldn’t tell you what about. My mind was completely elsewhere already.Someone nudged my shoulder. I ignored it at first, but then they did it again… and again... And again. I whipped my head around to ask what they wanted. Surprise surprise, it was Sophie.‘What?!’ I whispered, annoyed with her constantly bugging me.
THIS IS JUST EXTRA INFORMATION. PLEASE DON’T READ IF YOU THINK IT'S A CHAPTER! So, there you go, the story is over. I’ll be honest after Toby left, I had no idea where the story was going, throwing in the pregnancy was a spur of the moment choice I made very late at night when I was trying to figure out How I wanted this story to end.I had a massive amount of people complaining that one of my other books was ‘’unfinished’’ because it was left on a cliffhanger, much like this story has been. There will be a sequel, but please know it won’t be out for a while. I have a few other books I need to work on first. I need to write the third book in the Outlaw Series as well as TRY and figure out if I have enough ideas for a third book in t
Chapter Seventy Three -- Final ChapterNaturally, the first thing I did when I arrived in town was to try and call Toby, but it went straight to answer phone. I texted him a few times and gave him a chance to respond while I went and checked into the hotel I had booked for me and Axl. I figured it was probably best so that if Toby needed time to process everything, then we wouldn’t be crowding him. It was only booked for afew days, but I could always extend our stay if I needed to.…but hours had passed and he hadn’t even viewed the messages. What was going on? Was he just not interested in hearing from me anymore? Maybe his choice to not contact me wasn’t for time and space... Was it simply because he didn’t want to?
Note: Due to the negitive reviews after this chapter, I feel I need to make one thing clear, this book ends on an unexplained cliffhanger, meaning while the ending might seem "out of character" for Toby, remember that! It IS out of character for him, so thus, there must be a reason for what happens. Bare thst in mind please before leaving damaging reviews and remember there will be a sequel to clear all that up. I thought it would be obvious, but apparently not.. Enjoy! :) Chapter Seventy Three -- Final Chapter Naturally, the first thing I did when I arrived in town was to try and call Toby, but it went straight to answer phone. Chapter Seventy OneThe day finally came. I had been planning it with my mum for the past few weeks. The flight was in a few hours, the hotel was booked, everything was sorted. She did try and convince me to leave Axl behind and just go alone, but as much as I know she was trying to make it easier for me, I couldn’t leave him behind, even for afew days. She and dad were driving us to the airport. I panicked a little bit when I realized that we were flying and the baby didn't have a passport, but that was sorted out, no problem, and now, we were both ready to go on our adventure and find Toby.It shouldn’t be that hard. I’d just call him and we could figure it out from there. I was saying basically in the same place me and my parents stayed before, so I knew my
Chapter Seventy** A few days later **I was finally home from the hospital and as I thought, things were different. Dad doted on Axl, and he had been a lot nicer to me too. It was nice for things not to be like they were. I was really worried things would never get back to normal and now, well, they were even better than normal even was! While I was in the hospital, recovering a little, mum and dad put the cot together in my room for me. I had left it till the last minute to do it myself, but in all fairness, he was a few weeks early. Even with him coming earlier than expected, I had sat down and discussed with my parents that I was going to still wait till after Graduation to leave town. They knew of my plans from the day Toby left, when
Chapter Sixty NineDad got me to the hospital in record time and mum was already there waiting for us. She worked close by, but even so, that was pretty impressive. They took me into an examination room to check me over and apparently, I was already pretty far along with the labour. I was 7 cm dilated, which meant it was nearly time.I wasn’t sure if I was even ready for this.Mum was going to be there with me in the delivery room, Dad was going to wait outside. I don’t think he was ready for this either. As they wheeled me past time, heading up to the delivery suite, I could tell by the look on his face, this was a changing point.Things were going to get better after this. I just knew it.
Chapter Sixty Eight*** A Few More Months Later **Graduation was fast approaching, it's all you could hear about in school, but luckily I wasn’t there much of the week anymore. My due date was moved up to before graduation now and being so heavily pregnant, I wasn’t really required to attend, as long as I collected school work to complete at home, but I rarely did that anyway. If people weren’t talking about me already, they surely were now, and I couldn’t give a fuck. Apart from the obvious things, I was pretty happy with my life, for the most part, and while people were picking what colleges they were going to and what they planned to do after High School, I knew what I was going to do… I was going to be a mother.
Chapter Sixty SevenWalking into the house, I called out to see if mum and dad were home yet. Mum called back that she was in the kitchen, and I headed over. I asked where dad was and she said he was still at work. Good, it meant I could share the good news with her.‘I thought you were staying at the other house tonight?’ I smiled and put the shopping bag down on the side.‘I am, but I forgot to pack some clothes that actually fit’. She chuckled. ‘I have something to show you!’. I told her, unable to hide my excitement. She stopped what she was doing and turned to look at me, waiting. I opened the bag and pulled out the little blue sailing boat onesie and she gasped, covering her mouth.
Chapter Sixty SixThe day dragged on and on and even when school was over, it still didn’t end. The phone call from the doctors was to remind me of an appointment I had, that admittedly, I had forgotten about, and then I still needed to go home and get clothes too.The Business just never seems to end these days. There's always an appointment or a job or something that needs doing. I was just trying to get through and make it till graduation. If I wasn’t allowed to drop out and the school was clearly not going to kick me out, I had to graduate… and then I could leave. I could go and find Toby……I wasn’t stupid, I know there is a good chance he was not going to be waiting for me. By the time I’m actually able to go, We would have been apart for a very long time
