Chapter Three
‘...Well, what the hell happened to her?’
‘I don’t know sir, I was just out walking my pups and came across her’.
‘Well, something fucking happened! I want to know what!’.
‘Calm down Sebastian. Just be grateful he got there when he did’.
A heated discussion cut through my sleep. It felt like I had been asleep for years, a deep sleep at that, but not a good one. I felt awful. My head was pounding and I ached all over. As I started coming around a little more, I could still hear the conversation going on somewhere in the close proximity, but I was more aware of loud beeping.
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP
Where was that coming from?
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP
I blinked a few times with my eyes still closed before I opened them slowly and a bright white light invaded my vision. I had to close my eyes again instantly. It took a few more tries before I was able to open them properly and take a look around the room.
Everything was white and looked sterile. This was a hospital. I was in a hospital, why?
….and then everything came flooding back!
I shot up, panicking, confused, scared. My eyes found my parents and they came rushing over. Mum started pushing my hair out of my face while my dad fumbled to hug me, the affection he didn’t often give.
More and more memories started to invade my head and it became too overwhelming and I burst into tears.
‘W-where is he?’ I sobbed. They ignored me and just kept fussing. The door opened, making them both instantly pull away from me. A doctor, an older man, stepped in and asked to speak to my parents privately.
Privately? It was obviously ABOUT me, why couldn’t I hear too?
They left the room and closed the door behind them. The curtain was pulled closed so I couldn’t even see them. It wasn’t until then that I realized someone was in the room with me.
A guy. A guy I didn’t know.
It put me on edge, which must have reflected on my face because he instantly held his hands up, as if to show he wasn’t a danger... That didn’t mean anything to me right now…
‘Hi, I’m Toby’.
‘Hi..’ I heard the wariness in my own voice.
‘Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you or anything, I just wanted to make sure that you’re ok’.
‘Why? I don’t know you’. The comment came across ruder than intended.
‘Valid point. I um…’ He scratched the back of his head, as if he was uncomfortable, ‘I’m the one who called the ambulance for you. I found you..’ He trailed off again.
‘Oh’. I was honestly lost for words, but my manners kicked in pretty quickly after, ‘Thank you. Thank you so much… god knows what would have happened if..’ and then I remembered, ‘The dogs! There was a large group of dogs, they attacked Jason, I thought they were going to attack me too!’.
‘No, no, no, Those were mine. We saw what was happening and they raced over to protect you. They would have never hurt you’.
‘Your dogs? How many dogs do you have?!’ He smiled.
‘Quite a few. I couldn’t help but smile back.
‘Thank you’. I repeated.
‘You have nothing to thank me for’. We just stayed in silence for a few minutes, but it wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable. The door opened and my parents came back in again. Mum came rushing over to me, while dad said something to the guy, Toby, I think, and they shook hands.
‘What did the doctor say?’ I asked, curious.
‘Now you’re awake, they want to observe you for a few hours but you should be able to leave today’.
‘How long have I been here?’
‘Just since last night’. I found myself watching my dad and Toby, deep in conversation, that is until I heard mum say something about checking out.
‘Wait, what? Checking out? I don’t want to go home’. We still had over 2 weeks of our holiday left, I didn’t want to go home yet!
‘Your father and I just think it's best if you recover in the comfort of home’. I shook my head.
‘No, I want to stay!’. I really did. This was our holiday for christ sake! Something I had been looking forward to for nearly a year, since they told me we were coming here. ‘Where’s Jason, what happened to him?!’ I looked back over at the two men talking, and they were looking back at me.
‘Well..’ It was Toby who spoke, ‘After my dogs stopped him..’He paused, ‘He ran off. He was pretty much worse for wear, so, I very much doubt he will be showing his face around here again anytime soon’. Well, that made me feel a little bit better.
‘I thought he was staying at our hotel?’
‘No, He’s not registered on the guest list of the hotel, and the police said the CCTV shows him coming into the hotel to meet you. He definitely wasn’t staying there’. God, was anything he said true? Probably not. He clearly had all of these intentions when he met me on the boat.
The thought gave me chills.
What a monster!
‘Listen, sweetheart, the police want to talk to you, When you feel up to it, ok?’ I just nodded. Mum smiled sadly and got. ‘We’ll leave you to rest for now’.
‘Ok’. I laid back down and pulled the covers up. I hope I get to go back to the hotel tonight. I hate hospitals, I don’t want to be here…
Trigger warning: Discussion of sexual assault in this chapter.Chapter Four**A few Days Later**As I hoped, I was allowed to leave the hospital that day, and had managed to so far convinced my parents not to bail on the holiday, but the past few days had been spent locked up in the hotel room, my parents too scared to let me leave it without them. I felt like a prisoner, although if I was being completely honest with myself... I didn’t really feel much like going out anyway… just in case he was still around.I was currently sitting in an interview room at the local police department. They had given me a few days but now had requested I come in and give a statement. Wh
Chapter FiveViolet’s Point of ViewMum took me back to the hotel and then went out to have lunch with dad. I wasn’t really feeling it and after a bit of convincing, she agreed to leave me alone for a bit. Again, I knew it was coming from a place of love and care, but they were constantly watching me all the time, I just can’t be doing with it.I just needed some alone time!As soon as she was gone though, I went over and locked the door. I don’t know why I did, but it made me feel a bit better. Looking around the large room, I let out a loud sigh, I had no idea what to do. I couldn’t go out, but there was nothing but watching TV to pass time in here.I wandered over to the wind
Chapter SixWalking into the bar, The sounds of happy chatting greeted me. I looked around, taking in the room. It was dimly lit but seemed like a really upbeat place in general. I could instantly feel myself relax. There was no threat here. As I followed Toby deeper into the establishment, towards the actual bar, I noticed how many people turned to smile or greet him as we passed.Maybe he was a regular here?Either way, he seemed to be really well-liked.I just kept quiet and eventually, we ended up near the bar, at a large table, full of guys. Toby turned to me and smiled before gesturing to each of the men, Listing all of their names, which was returned with a smile.Though, admittedly, I lost trac
Chapter Seven As I walked back across the sand, I suddenly felt uneasy. I looked around but didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. I attempted to shrug it off, but couldn't. I looked around again, this time in a bit more panic than before. I could feel eyes on me but couldn’t work out where it was coming from. Was it Jason?! Was he watching me? Something wasn’t right! My breathing deepened and I started to struggle a little. I looked around for somewhere a little bit more private until I could calm down. Running off the beach, I tried but couldn’t find anywhere. My panic started to increase. Eventually, I just didn’t care what people thought about me and dropped to my knees right in the st
Chapter Eight Toby’s Point of View Violet vanished from view as I just turned to look at my girlfriend. ‘You’re an adult, was that attitude really necessary?’ Georgie shrugged. I rolled my eyes. She always acts that way whenever I’m talking to someone, even if it's just innocent. She’s so jealous, no matter what I say or do to try and comfort her worries. ‘I just want to make sure she knew you weren’t available or interested’. ‘Georgie, she knows I’m not’. ‘Really?’ I sighed, annoyed. ‘Yes, really’. Huffing, she took my hand and started pulling me towards the exit, moaning about how she

Chapter NineViolet’s Point of ViewWalking into the suite, my parents were instantly firing questions at me; Where was I? Who was I with? Why did I leave the room? The usual. I asked them if they had even seen the note I’d left, they said they did, but they were still worried about me. I guess I couldn’t exactly blame them with everything that had happened recently, but still! I wasn’t a prisoner here. This was still my holiday too.I calmly explained that I had gone out for a walk, I needed to clear my head and that behind the room was driving me insane. I told them that I had met Toby in the hotel and we had gone for a drink, that I had met some of his friends and in general, had a very nice day……I left ou
Chapter TenToby’s Point of View*LATER THAT EVENING*Over the past few hours, I haven't been able to think about anything other than Violet and how upset she got. It's completely understandable, the girls are being really unfair. She wasn’t a threat to them, the pack or my relationship, so why are Georgie and the other girls giving her such a hard time? The moon was full, the pack was assembled and I walked into the garden to address them. As I approached them, lined perfectly across the gross, I shifted and stopped right in front of Georgie. Growling. She knew she was in trouble.Being in the same pack meant when we were in wolf form, we were able to communicate w
THIS IS JUST EXTRA INFORMATION. PLEASE DON’T READ IF YOU THINK IT'S A CHAPTER! So, there you go, the story is over. I’ll be honest after Toby left, I had no idea where the story was going, throwing in the pregnancy was a spur of the moment choice I made very late at night when I was trying to figure out How I wanted this story to end.I had a massive amount of people complaining that one of my other books was ‘’unfinished’’ because it was left on a cliffhanger, much like this story has been. There will be a sequel, but please know it won’t be out for a while. I have a few other books I need to work on first. I need to write the third book in the Outlaw Series as well as TRY and figure out if I have enough ideas for a third book in t
Chapter Seventy Three -- Final ChapterNaturally, the first thing I did when I arrived in town was to try and call Toby, but it went straight to answer phone. I texted him a few times and gave him a chance to respond while I went and checked into the hotel I had booked for me and Axl. I figured it was probably best so that if Toby needed time to process everything, then we wouldn’t be crowding him. It was only booked for afew days, but I could always extend our stay if I needed to.…but hours had passed and he hadn’t even viewed the messages. What was going on? Was he just not interested in hearing from me anymore? Maybe his choice to not contact me wasn’t for time and space... Was it simply because he didn’t want to?
Note: Due to the negitive reviews after this chapter, I feel I need to make one thing clear, this book ends on an unexplained cliffhanger, meaning while the ending might seem "out of character" for Toby, remember that! It IS out of character for him, so thus, there must be a reason for what happens. Bare thst in mind please before leaving damaging reviews and remember there will be a sequel to clear all that up. I thought it would be obvious, but apparently not.. Enjoy! :) Chapter Seventy Three -- Final Chapter Naturally, the first thing I did when I arrived in town was to try and call Toby, but it went straight to answer phone. Chapter Seventy OneThe day finally came. I had been planning it with my mum for the past few weeks. The flight was in a few hours, the hotel was booked, everything was sorted. She did try and convince me to leave Axl behind and just go alone, but as much as I know she was trying to make it easier for me, I couldn’t leave him behind, even for afew days. She and dad were driving us to the airport. I panicked a little bit when I realized that we were flying and the baby didn't have a passport, but that was sorted out, no problem, and now, we were both ready to go on our adventure and find Toby.It shouldn’t be that hard. I’d just call him and we could figure it out from there. I was saying basically in the same place me and my parents stayed before, so I knew my
Chapter Seventy** A few days later **I was finally home from the hospital and as I thought, things were different. Dad doted on Axl, and he had been a lot nicer to me too. It was nice for things not to be like they were. I was really worried things would never get back to normal and now, well, they were even better than normal even was! While I was in the hospital, recovering a little, mum and dad put the cot together in my room for me. I had left it till the last minute to do it myself, but in all fairness, he was a few weeks early. Even with him coming earlier than expected, I had sat down and discussed with my parents that I was going to still wait till after Graduation to leave town. They knew of my plans from the day Toby left, when
Chapter Sixty NineDad got me to the hospital in record time and mum was already there waiting for us. She worked close by, but even so, that was pretty impressive. They took me into an examination room to check me over and apparently, I was already pretty far along with the labour. I was 7 cm dilated, which meant it was nearly time.I wasn’t sure if I was even ready for this.Mum was going to be there with me in the delivery room, Dad was going to wait outside. I don’t think he was ready for this either. As they wheeled me past time, heading up to the delivery suite, I could tell by the look on his face, this was a changing point.Things were going to get better after this. I just knew it.
Chapter Sixty Eight*** A Few More Months Later **Graduation was fast approaching, it's all you could hear about in school, but luckily I wasn’t there much of the week anymore. My due date was moved up to before graduation now and being so heavily pregnant, I wasn’t really required to attend, as long as I collected school work to complete at home, but I rarely did that anyway. If people weren’t talking about me already, they surely were now, and I couldn’t give a fuck. Apart from the obvious things, I was pretty happy with my life, for the most part, and while people were picking what colleges they were going to and what they planned to do after High School, I knew what I was going to do… I was going to be a mother.
Chapter Sixty SevenWalking into the house, I called out to see if mum and dad were home yet. Mum called back that she was in the kitchen, and I headed over. I asked where dad was and she said he was still at work. Good, it meant I could share the good news with her.‘I thought you were staying at the other house tonight?’ I smiled and put the shopping bag down on the side.‘I am, but I forgot to pack some clothes that actually fit’. She chuckled. ‘I have something to show you!’. I told her, unable to hide my excitement. She stopped what she was doing and turned to look at me, waiting. I opened the bag and pulled out the little blue sailing boat onesie and she gasped, covering her mouth.
Chapter Sixty SixThe day dragged on and on and even when school was over, it still didn’t end. The phone call from the doctors was to remind me of an appointment I had, that admittedly, I had forgotten about, and then I still needed to go home and get clothes too.The Business just never seems to end these days. There's always an appointment or a job or something that needs doing. I was just trying to get through and make it till graduation. If I wasn’t allowed to drop out and the school was clearly not going to kick me out, I had to graduate… and then I could leave. I could go and find Toby……I wasn’t stupid, I know there is a good chance he was not going to be waiting for me. By the time I’m actually able to go, We would have been apart for a very long time
