Lucia pulled away abruptly, as if their contact had never been meant to happen. She struggled to catch her breath, feeling the intensity of the moment weighing on her. Kissing Andrea had been the craziest thing she had ever experienced.

"Lucia, I..." Andrea began, but she quickly retreated, her eyes pleading with him.

“I really can’t do this, Mr Romano,” she looked up at him, with a pleading look.

At that point, Andrea felt helpless. He had wanted to confirm something about Lucia. And now, he can’t stop yearning for her.

“It’s fine,” he pressed his lips while regarding her with watchful eyes. “But please, resume work tomorrow,”

Lucia paused for a moment then nodded lightly. “Sure,”

Andrea stood for a moment contemplating his next move then advanced towards her.

Lucia fought the urge to step back, regretting the sudden break in their romantic connection earlier. Romantic? Was she even worthy of having something romantic with this man?
