‘I understand why.’ Vera says. ‘What did that Asshole say. I bet he blamed it all on me.’
Luke thought, even if he did, he wouldn’t have believed him anyway.
‘He didn’t.’ Luke told her. ‘What did he do?’
‘He was being an Asshole.’ Vera spat.
