Third pov

Gomez was filled with anger as he pulled himself from the ground and dusted himself clean.

The man that had attacked him had been gone for five minutes straight. He'd only been able to stand up noy

"Bastards." He groaned as he discovered they had actually broken his leg. He limped down the stairs.

He didn't have a choice now. He had to leave or they'd kill him. He knew that the Porter Hughes family weren't people to mess around with.

He knew pursuing anything further from their daughter will lead to his demise. If they could send thugs after him, they could definitely erase him from the world with just a snap of their fingers.

With his hand on his waist and his face to the sky, his eyes watered just a little bit. The thought of leaving his lover broke his heart into pieces. He felt like someone was ripping his heart out with a sickle.

Gomez took a deep, shaky breath and wiped the tears that had escaped his eyes and then schooled his facial features into an impassive mask.
