"No need," Joshua refused, looking gloomier than before.

After realizing that Cynthia did not make the call, he returned to his room, never coming out again.

Cynthia was curious about his reaction and was about to message Felix about their conversation. However, just a second before she sent the message, she received a call from him.

"Joshua went back to his room, right?" Felix asked.

Cynthia scanned the living room and was surprised at Felix's accurate prediction.

"Yes, he did."

She began to wonder if there was some sort of remote surveillance.

"After the company's annual party in a couple of days, I'll come and see him. His current condition is quite different from when he was younger," Felix told her.

Cynthia agreed, "Okay, please let me know when you're coming, and I'll arrange for someone to pick you up."
