"Cyn darling, please rest assured, your beloved daughter is doing well over here," Isabella spoke joyfully. Her relationship with Cynthia was as close as that of sisters. "I'll bring my fiance back to meet you soon."

"Have you forgotten about your tendency not to fulfill your promises?" Matthew chimed in lazily.

Isabella replied, "Mr. Quier, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!"

"I'm just giving you a friendly reminder," Matthew retorted.

"Give the phone to my dear Cyn," Isabella argued and decided she would rather talk to her mother. She huffed and added, "I'll speak to her."

"Your dear Cyn and I have some matters to attend to. We have no time for you. Goodbye," Matthew said, jealous even of his own daughter.

Isabella was about to say something, but the line went dead. Then, she immediately messaged Matthew.

[Isabella: Aren't you being childish? Was it because Mom forced you to sleep in the guest room while I slept next to Mom for two nights last time?]
