Amayra
Flashback
"So, you're going to join the new company that you snatched from Abraham?", Dada asked in the study room. Daniel was seated near us.
"Yes, dada. And don't worry. I'll make sure he suffers", I said. Honestly, I wanted to take revenge on him for hurting my feelings. I wanted to make him suffer for me, go on his knees to beg for me.
Besides that when I got to know dada and Daniel were planning to kill him, I also wanted to be his shield.
"Daniel can do it", dada said.
"I guess we talked about it", I reminded him.
There was a silence of a few seconds before dada stood up from his chair and sighed. "See, Amayra. This is a risk. Our whole motive revolves around Abraham. So, it's a risk for us to hand over everything to you"
"Don't you trust me, dada?", I exclaimed.
"Well, we shouldn't trust anyone is a game of business and revenge", Daniel said from the couch. I scowled at him.
<AbrahamOpening the door of the empty old quarter I entered inside. It was dark everywhere. My hand found its way to the switchboard. Soon, the lights were turned on. I had spent half of my life in the quarter but I could remember nothing but the past three months. It felt like I could see the flashes before my eyes when she came to my quarter. After years, we talked when she was in her complete senses. I could still remember the agony in her eyes and a bit of hatred for me when she questioned me repeatedly. I smiled at the flashes.||"You were with me last night. I hope you don't have a habit to lie, Abraham. I know you were the one. You are the one to sleep with me. You are the one who took my virginity just to get me framed. Right? It was your fucking plan against me?"||My legs dragged me to wall in the dark corner. I could still see her in that darkness, among the massive firing and encounter. She was fuming in anger. I wa
AbrahamI didn't know for how long I stayed like that in mom's lap. But I finally confessed that I loved Amayra. From when? I didn't know. I just knew that my heart was beating for her every single second. I had pushed her away when she was almost there for me. I regretted everything I did right then."I can't survive without her, mom. I really can't", I kept whimpering. She became a part of my body that I couldn't take out from myself. I didn't know when she became so much important to me."Stop crying", mom nuzzled my hair. "You said you won't do that""It happened. I didn't want to", I explained while sobbing. "I want her, mom""She is not a toy and you're not a child. I wish I could get her for you", she said in a calm voice. But I wish I were a child and she were my favorite toy. At least, mom could get her for me.So many years passed by, but my heart still belonged to her from the day I saw her. She was a baby,
AmayraIt shuddered me from the core. Bomb, 30 minutes and Abraham. No! I screamed into my mind, hooking myself against the wall. I was shivering and sweating terribly. It couldn't be happening. I could never let this happen to him."Amayra, relax. It's time to push your brain", I told myself, rushing towards the conference room again.Daniel"Mr. Mehta, I guess you complicated things a lot. You could easily kill Abraham. Why that all the fucking marriage stuff?", I spat.I could never understand what Shashank was doing. Why did he want Abraham and Amayra's marriage in the beginning? If he didn't do that Amayra would never get involved with Abraham."It was never my plan, Daniel", Shashank spoke, walking towards the window. "Killing Abraham was never my plan. But he forced me to do it""How?""George was my partner", he said, standing next to the window. "Only partner. But he was too good to as
AmayraMy legs wobbled to reach the conference room. The meeting was over and Abraham couldn't be seen anywhere. The office was overcrowded with people today. I strived to find him."Where's he?", I panted while dialing a number on my phone. After a few rings, it was picked up."Yes""Doctor Lynn. Did you tell him?", I urged."Yes. I did what you said. And Abraham will be leaving for Canada with Mrs. Harris this evening", he told me."This evening? Great. Thank you so much, doctor. Thanks a lot""Why are you doing this, Amayra?"I didn't reply and cut the call. Abraham must have a flight. Did he already leave? My heart was pounding faster. Everything seemed to slip out of my hands. I closed my eyes tightly, clutching my hair. Why him? He had nothing. What did dada and Daniel want more? I wish I could go in front of them and confront them but I couldn't. I never felt so helpless. I fought alone wit
AmayraI drove as faster as I could. My whole body was sweating and shivering in fear. I looked at the watch. I didn't have much time. The street was filled with people."Damn it! Where do I find an empty place?", tears started streaming down to my eyes.Would I survive? Would I be able to meet him again? My head got numb and I could sense nothing but death before my eyes. But what would I even do with this life where I was surrounded by only hate, profit, and meanness. Nothing else. What would I do with this loveless life without that person whom I loved?Yes, I loved him. I loved that man more than anything and I couldn't survive without him, I could afford to give his place to another man, I couldn't be the bride of someone else. My heart, my body, my soul everything belonged to Abraham. Only Abraham. I didn't know what I would do after that. I had nothing. My dreams, my passions. Yeah. They were still there. But what abo
AbrahamTripping all over, I rushed into the general hospital with mom, Victor handled her from the entrance. My nerves had stopped working after that news. I was still wanting it to be a nightmare. I couldn't tolerate a tiny scar on her and that blast!! I didn't think I could even look at her. I wondered how she was now. Was she too much injured? Was she okay? Was she able to handle the pain?I just kept running until I reached the floor Victor mentioned."Boss!", Angela screamed, standing outside a cabin."Where's Amayra?", I huffed, consoling myself. "How did this happen?""I don't know""What do you mean by you don't know?", I screamed aloud. "You were there, right?""Boss. I... I came here when Victor called me. I didn't know anything""Abraham!", mom grabbed my hand. "Control yourself. This is not the time for all this"I took a deep breath, rubbing my entire face. I couldn't even utter a sin
Abraham"Can't they wait at least?", I shrugged, taking a glance at Amayra. Her eyelids opened again as she stared at me."I'll be right back", I kissed her forehead again as she blinked in assurance. Sliding my hand gently down to her palm, I got up and walked out of the cabin.Three police officers were waiting outside."Was it needed right now, Kevin?", I asked one of the officers."Formality, Mr. Harris. What to do?", he smiled. There was a weird relationship between the cops and us. They knew what we were, we knew that they knew everything about us. Still, we pretended to be something else. Until they had strong proof they better acted well with us."You can do the formality later. She can't even talk properly. I won't let you pressurize her with your damn shitty questions until she recovers", I grumbled."Don't worry. We're not here to interrogate her, but you", he said. I frowned but shook my head.
Abraham"So, basically, the attack was planned for you, Mr. Harris", Kevin said, dragging me out of my thoughts. But it was too tough to do that. My whole sanity was filled with Amayra and her thoughts.I was feeling so guilty. I wish I never left her. At least, she would be safe today. That girl almost lost her life to save me. And what the hell was I doing? Nothing."Do you doubt someone?", Kevin asked."I'm not in a state of giving this statement, Kevin", I said in a low tone. Can we do it tomorrow?""Sure. I'll arrive with my team", Kevin shook hands with me and left.I pushed myself on the chairs and bend down, looking at the floor. After all that, I was unable to face Amayra. How would I face her? What would I say? I had always thought that I cared for her more. But she proved me so wrong. I just kept saying, couldn't prove anything. She never said, but she proved it."Boss!", Victor knelt before me. "Are
AbrahamI didn't wait for her and turned around, dialling Erwan's number and walking towards the laptop. Smirking at the screen, I took footage and processed it.He picked it up after a long ring."Hey, Abraham. I was about to call you""Erwan. Can you check your inbox right now? There's something for you," I said and looked at Amayra. She looked confused. I cut the call right away and dumped the phone aside."What did you do?" She exclaimed. "Sent him the CCTV footage of the kitchen"Her mouth fell open in shock.
AmayraI couldn't sense myself for a while and moved my hand abruptly on my belly. My whole body got completely numb, sensing the blunder that was almost near to destroying our happiness in a second. I stood still, breathing heavily."Are you okay? Ha? Are you hit actually?" Abraham's hands came together, cupping my face as I nodded. His voice was shaking and he was scanning me well."I'm fine," I gulped. He pulled my wrist and took me in a deep embrace. We absorbed the moment, trying to handle the shock. What if he was not there? What if he didn't handle me?I would almost lose the most precious t
Amayra I climbed down the stairs. Abraham might have followed me but I didn't want him to come. He would stop me anyhow even if he was saying I could do anything to Eisha. He didn't know to what extent I could go for him. If I can get myself into a blast, if I can give my everything to him, I could do every fucking impossible thing for him. The living room was still filled with the lively voices of all. As I went there, I saw everyone except Eisha. I frowned and rolled my eyes. Did that bitch run away before I came? She better be. "Amayra!," Amelia called me, her eyes tense. "Where have you been? Where's bhaai? He left the conversation midway" "He's coming. Where's Eisha? Did she leave?," I gritted my teeth,
Amayra "You can't be serious", I mumbled, rolling my eyes, continued to scan his reactions well. I wanted him to tease me. He was teasing me! That was it. It's not true. He licked his lips, dropping his gaze, his grip around me was being tighter as if he wanted to hold me tight so that I didn't lash out. "It's true. She is working with me now", he lifted his guilty gaze at me, leaving me out of words. I wondered how to reach. Should I get mad or keep calm? My inside was churning out with the thought of him and Eisha being together. The flashes of that night came in front of me. She was so close to him. He was mumbling my name and attempting to kiss her, assuming her to be me. I couldn't forget the view when that bitch had touched his bare chest. The place, the man whom I could touch only! She fucking touched what was mine. What is mine! I squeezed my eyes shut to forget that damn view, clutching his arms tightly
Amayra "Well, the venue is awesome, aunty. A palace wedding. I can't believe it", Dhruv beamed. "I always wanted that palace to be the venue for my kid's wedding", mom smiled. They were seated, occupying the couch and looking at some venue photographs. "Oh! That means I'm also going to have my wedding here?", Amelia cracked up. "Only if the groom agrees", mom said. "And you still don't have a groom", Abraham laughed. "You'll have one soon", Eisha said, laughing with Abraham. Fucking hell! Was it a nightmare? It had to be. How dare she come to my house? And how dare she sit near him? My blood was blotching when I was gawking at Eisha and Abraham. And the fucking distance of two inches between them. Pathetic! A pathetic feeling! My nerves started to shake as I held the wall to have a balance on myself. "Amayra, you woke up?", mom's voice forced me to be normal and pa
Abraham Fucking shit! Was she serious? She gotta be kidding me. "Are you serious, Amelia?", I scowled at her. Amayra didn't speak. How would she? She was practising to be an ideal, shy girl nowadays? "Too serious, bhaai. Since it's an Indian Hindu tradition. We should include Amayra's culture too, right? At least, some rituals could be followed. So, mom asked her to stay in my room. It's not good to meet before the wedding", she said while whispering. I had nothing to say. I just looked at Amayra. She pressed her lips only. I would miss her. "Okay, leave", I shrugged. "I'll send her" "Aha! You'll take hours to send her. I don't believe you", Amelia said. I had nothing to do but frown at her. "Amelia, I'll change my clothes first. You go", Amayra said. I controlled my smile, looking down. "Sure. But come fast", Amelia left the room as I immediately grabbed Amayra's waist and smashed her against my
AbrahamHours passed since the last time I saw Amayra. It was completely my fault to stuck myself with the last client who could help me to get out of the shit. He was willing to be a partner for the same company that I left behind. I had to accept the money which Amayra offered me. I would not. But some points disturbed me.I wouldn't be relaxed at my own wedding. Tension would bring the hell out of me which would lead me to the situation where I might not focus on Amayra anymore when she needed me the most!I didn't know if I would be able to provide everything to our baby if things went wrong. She would be hurt if I didn't let her support me. She might blame herself and I didn't want her to ruin her health at that condition. But I was determined to fulfill all her dreams. I would do everything she wished for.I pressed the brake, reaching the cottage. It was already 7:05."Shit", I cursed under my breath, gawking at my wristwatch.
Abraham I was numb for a moment, gawking at her in disbelief, out of words. She was stammering and I could see how nervous she was. But more than her, I was feeling restless. I looked at the cheque again. "Where did you get so much money? I mean your company has been seized too", I mumbled, looking down, ignoring eye contact with her. I didn't know how she got to know about my problem but I was more concerned about her. What did she do to bring such a huge amount? "It's not from the company. I don't have anything that belongs to Shashankveer Mehta. His money, his property", she said. "I left them behind. But— this is all I had" I forced my eyes to look at her. She was looking away. Not at me. "My hard work of last sixteen years. I had an account where I used to save all I won from tournaments. Basically, I started earning more when I participated in the premier leagues. I had been the highest-paid athlete for five years and the amount was huge
Abraham I pushed my eyelids to open though I was still feeling sleepy. We came late last night and I couldn't help fucking her the entire night. A smile appeared on my face and I strived to hold her next to me. However, my hand couldn't reach her as I opened my eyes and didn't find her on the bed. Frowning, I sat up and rolled my eyes around while yawning. "Amayra", I called her. She didn't respond from any corner of the room. "Baby, are you in the washroom?" I walked into the washroom. She wasn't there too. She never woke up before me in the morning but today she was too quick and I didn't even know where she was. I came downstairs where Amelia and mom were discussing something, maybe about the wedding preparation. I saw Lily also sitting with them. "Good morning, bhaai", Amelia said with a smile. "Good morning. Where's Amayra?" "Amayra? She had left for the college early morning. Didn't she tell you?", mom said as I g
