Although she sympathized with Cato Alter’s past, she had reservations about his rapid rise to power. Despite her limited interaction with Shawn, she sensed his unexplained trust in Cato Alter.

Ivy firmly believed that people in the workplace shouldn't become friends. Whoever treats the other as a friend often becomes the one who gets used and discarded.

"Just consider it my bias," she said lightly. She decided not to express her concerns openly. “Shawn, we're just ordinary people. The world of the upper class is not where we should be climbing. I just want to take care of my mother and our grandmother and live a good life."

Seeing that Ivy was unyielding at the moment, Shawn could only agree gently, "Alright, I'll go along with your decisions."
