Chapter 68

After the call with Jane, Kendrick left her hand and returned to his seat. “Are you okay?” He asked.

“Yes,” Rosy replied.

“The chef will serve the food very soon as I have made my orders,” he smiled while informing Rosy.

They stayed quiet while they sipped from their wine. Kendrick wanted to say something but there was fear in his heart. Severally he tried, but several times he failed, and when he couldn't continue anymore he gave up.

The chef served the dishes and Rosy dug into it without a second thought. While Rosy was eating, Kendrick was looking at her and when she had eaten a quarter of the food, Kendrick cleared his throat.

“Rosy?” He called.

“I am here with you,” Rosy replied, her mouth full of food.

“I met with the board today,” Kendrick said.

“What is the purpose of the meeting and what was discussed?” Rosy questioned still eating.

“It was an impromptu meeting though, they called for me which I answered and they spoke about the wine company.”
