Chapter 140

"It's morning, finally." Mr. Wright groaned as he climbed down from his bed.

All through the night, he kept turning on the bed, his peace was gone, and he couldn't think of any way to help himself out. Mr. Herberts' warning sank deep into his head, and after a second thought, he realized the truth in Mr. Herberts' words.

An attempt to pay the state members to speak for his good would further worsen the situation. He might not know what the State has for him, but it won't be as bad as them finding out he was trying to pay some members.

After his call with Mr. Herbert, he stayed a little longer on the rooftop, and when it was getting really cold, he went to his room. When inside, his head began to ache him, so he took some painkillers.

He could only rest for an hour as his mind became disturbed again. He stayed still on the bed till it was morning, and when morning finally came, he jumped off his bed.
