Chapter 139

"What could be the best way for me to leave this situation?" Mr. Wright said, speaking to no one.

He was on the rooftop of his house. He had been restless all day despite getting assurance from Mr. Piper and Kendrick that they would follow him to meet the state, but he still wasn't sure of the outcome.

He kept walking around with a glass of wine in his hand. It was the second glass he was using. He had gone lost in thought and didn't realize he was holding a glass, and it slipped out of his hand and scattered all over the piece place.

He got another one and continued from where he had left his thoughts. He kept thinking of who to call. The state members he knew before have all retired and the ones there are young people.

He hasn't had any course to meet with the president before, so he doesn't know him. Mr. Wright had heard rumors about the president saying he was a man who always goes for what is right and refuses to be bribed.

"Ahhh." Mr. Wright screamed, holding his head.

"Are you
