Kendrick reluctantly led the group to his house, but he didn't go there to knock first. Rather, he just stood behind watching everyone while Mr. Wright went to knock on the door.

"Whoever you people are, I don't care to know, but I got an order not to let you in, so just go back to wherever you are coming from." The cook yelled from inside, and Kendrick could hear her from where he stood.

He wondered who had given her such an order because from what Mr. Wright told him earlier, Rosy was aware of their visit, so why the order? Cassandra won't even make such an order because she has no business with the body as far as he can remember.
