Syrus’s POV

Syrus arrived home later than usual after the long conversation he was forced to have with Davis and the plan that they had ended up making.

The words of Davis still hung in the air and as much as Syrus tried not to be bothered about it, he realized how unsettled he was.

“What if Davis is right about Georgia blackmailing me?” Syrus had asked himself as he drove back home.

But then again, he had known Georgia way before now, and she had been nothing but caring, supportive, and helpful. Even when he had left her for Vivian, Georgia was still understanding enough to maintain a cordial friendship with him; even Vivian would not be that nice. Heck, hadn’t Vivian angrily left simply because Georgia declared that she was pregnant for him? Syrus knew that if it was Georgia who was in Vivian’s position, she would have treated Vivian with love and care.

So Syrus decided not to dwell on the words of Davis about Georgia.

“He doesn’t know who Georgia is,” Syrus concluded to himself.

Vivian’s POV“Vivian, what are you doing?” Marie asked as she strolled into the pantry, but my mind was afar off, so her voice was only a distant echo to me.Since the call with Manny where he told me that they had all lied and pretended that Ted was in grave danger because he owed a deadly drug lord a huge amount of money, I hadn’t been fine. In fact, I had walked around the house like a robot, just going about my tasks. Thankfully, Mr. Vale and Marie had been too consumed with each other to take much notice of me.“Vivian?”Marie’s voice cut through my thoughts sharply like a sharp knife, and I snapped out of my reverie. “Yes,” I answered abruptly, as though she had just called me. “Are you okay?” Marie asked with concern in her voice.“Nothing, ma’am,” I lied.“No, you shouldn’t be lying to me; I have seen how you have been acting around the house recently,” Marie observed, and my mouth almost dropped open in shock. “Even Vale has expressed concern,” she added.“Oh my goodness, I

Georgia’s POVThe moment Georgia had stepped into her new house, the words of her mother disappeared from her head, and she had been having the best time of her life ever since.Today wasn’t an exception. As Georgia made lunch, she still reminisced on the fact that she now owned a house. The papers were with her, so it definitely wasn’t a dream or a joke, and this was fully and completely her property! This was something that would never be taken away from her. Finally, Georgia had gotten out of that dungeon where she suffered emotional and psychological abuse from an embittered and failed woman who called herself her mother.“You are the best at what you do, Georgia!” Georgia praised herself. In fact, she had been toasting to her immeasurable success ever since she moved in.It was not just fully furnished, it was also bigger than what Syrus had rented for Vivian. Oh, Georgia made certain of that. It was even a good thing that she saw the apartment for herself, because it gave her th

Vivian’s POV“He is your what?” I asked, still unable to tear my eyes from the picture.“That is Leon, my twin brother,” Diana said, completely oblivious of my mood.Maybe it was because she was standing behind me, which was why she didn’t know that color had drained from my face, my knees were weak, my heart was beating really fast, my hands were becoming sweaty, and I couldn’t even think straight.Just when I thought I had succeeded in running away from every danger I knew!“You must be Vivian,” Diana was speaking behind me. Her tone was light, friendly, and accommodating, even though she was just meeting me for the first time and I was acting really weird. If I didn’t know better, I would have mistaken her for Marie’s daughter, because the aura of joy and peace that came with being around Marie was all over the store since Diana came in, but the picture on the wall and his haunted look the day Manny and I went to pick up Ted from the location that was given to Manny did not allow

My reaction to what she said was glaringly obvious that there was no way she would not have noticed, and I couldn’t have pretended even though I wanted to.“Is everything okay, Vivian?” Diana asked, placing her warm hand gently on mine in concern.“Did you say he was on his way here?” I asked, hoping that I had heard wrongly.“Yes, I did. He should be here in less than two minutes, actually,” Diana answered, flashing a quick glance at her wristwatch.I sprang to my feet as though I had been bitten by a poisonous snake immediately, making Diana also stand up, extremely worried.“What is wrong?” She pressed.“I have to go; Marie would be expecting me back by now,” I lied.“That’s not true,” Diana

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   Deaf To Consequences

Georgia’s POVGeorgia sat in her doctor’s office and waited for him to be done with his appointment so that he would attend to her. She also had something else to fix as quickly as possible before the scheduled time for the pregnancy test appointment.“Sorry to have kept you waiting,” the doctor said the moment he entered and sat on his seat.“I understand,” Georgia said. “I hope no one knows I’m here,” Georgia asked. She was still being extra careful. The fact that his clinic was in an isolated neighborhood and he had fewer patients who stopped by occasionally did not mean that Georgia would be reckless. She knew the depth of what she was doing, so she always had to double-check and look above her shoulders at all times. “My clients and patients’ confidentiality matters to me; I thought you already knew this,” the doctor responded.“Of course I do,” Georgia agreed. “You wanted to see me,” she began. “I hope you have gotten what I want, because I cannot stay here for long,” Georgia

Georgia’s POV“How dare he?!” Georgia barked. She was still boiling with anger and rage as she made her way out of her doctor’s clinic. “How dare he tell me what to do? How dare he suggest such nonsense?” Georgia fumed some more. She almost went back into his office to lash out at him even more, because he had no right. Georgia had managed to climb the ladder of success on her own accord without the help of anyone. She had single-handedly made a way for herself in a world that only cared about people with the money, power, and influence, and so she did not need anyone to tell her what to do or not. Her mother had tried for years to project her bitterness, anger, jealousy, and negativity on her, but Georgia had managed to weave through all that. She knew what she was capable of, and she would not allow the mere words of her doctor to pull her down. If she had listened to him when he had advised her to keep the baby and tell her older fling about it, she would never have gotten this f

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   A Different Woman

Vivian’s POVI hardly slept through the night, because I kept thinking about my encounter with Leon. There was obviously another lifestyle that he lived that Diana did not know about; one that entailed shady deals.Whether or not Manny and Ted connived together to lie about Ted owing a drug lord some money, one thing was clear; Ted and Leon were into something illegal and dangerous, because Jane was killed, and somehow, Ted was involved. My heart beat faster. It was as though my head would explode from trying to piece everything together. I stayed in bed thinking and trying to wrap my head around everything, so much so that I didn’t even know that time had ticked by so fast.By the time I got up from my bed, freshened up and hurried out of the room, it was already past 8am. I ran into Mr. Vale in the living room.“Good morning, Mr. Vale,” I greeted. He had his eyes on the TV, watching highlights.“Please call me Vale,” he responded. “All that formality makes me feel like I am in an of

Georgia’s POVGeorgia arrived at Syrus’s house; it was the day of the pregnancy test appointment, and Georgia was confident more than ever. Syrus’s doctor had instantly cooperated after she made that video; he could not afford to lose his career, and probably his family, because he knew quite well what was at stake if Georgia should release that video. He also knew that the world would believe Georgia over him, and he did not stand a chance against her.“Every man has something to lose,” Georgia said proudly to herself as she entered the living room.Bonnie was the first person she met.“Georgia!” Bonnie said in childlike excitement as she rushed over to Georgia and enveloped her in a tight and warm hug. Georgia forced a smile, but she didn’t even want to be hugged like that. “Bonnie…the baby,” Georgia whined coyly.Bonnie released her almost immediately. “Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! • Mr. CEO We're Done!   Gone Contract

Georgia’s POVAfter Georgia managed to get Nancy out of her apartment by lying, as usual, she pondered on a lot of things.Somehow, deep inside, Georgia knew that if she did not take hold of things, Syrus and his family would find a way to get out of her hook. Regardless of what Georgia now knew about Syrus, she also could not neglect the fact that Syrus held some power and influence in the country. If it had been easy, Ken would have come out with the truth already. Georgia wasn’t stupid; she had been in the streets and playing this game for as long as she could possibly remember, and she knew that if one wasn’t careful, even she and Ken would not be able to take down Syrus.Besides, Georgia had no motive to run Syrus down; if she did, how would she get the life she had envisioned? Georgia was too invested in the family of Vale to begin her strategy all over again with another wealthy and influential family. She knew how the system worked, and if Georgia wasn’t careful, if she wasn’

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   One Question After Another

Georgia’s POVThis was the first time that Georgia was standing right in front of Nancy and she was not just speechless, but she was also feeling uncomfortable. “Can I come in?” Nancy asked in an icy cold voice.Georgia cleared her throat and said, “Yes, of course.”Then she moved out of the way for Nancy to come in. Georgia could not stop wondering how Nancy managed to know where she now lived. She remembered that the last time they spoke, she hadn’t made mention of any house, and the fact that Nancy was right here, uninvited by Georgia and her look of displeasure was a clear enough indication that this wasn’t a case of peaceful visitation. Georgia watched Nancy enter slowly into the living room and looked around, and because Nancy’s back was back facing Georgia, she could not exactly tell Nancy’s reaction or emotions. Was she upset? Was she enraged? Was she aggravated? Georgia could not tell.“This is quite a lot,” Nancy said, her voice sounding bland.Georgia was almost tempted t

Georgia’s POV“Things are always just effortlessly working out for me!” Georgia said in excitement. She didn’t even need to find a doctor that would do what she wanted to do; Ken had promised to help her through it, unlike her former doctor who was preaching honesty.“Well, maybe it is because I have labored too hard to get to where I am now, and everything is just falling into place now,” Georgia continued. She and Ken had spent about two extra hours making plans, and she could hardly believe that she was getting everything sorted out. All she needed to do now was find a way to fix the pregnancy test thing with Syrus, and then she would be able to get him to make things official with Syrus.Georgia couldn’t wait! The pregnancy solution wasn’t the only thing that kept Georgia in cloud nine since Ken left. The fact that she had his secret in her palm now made her very gleeful. Now, she could very well twist Syrus’s hand into doing her bidding, because from what she gathered with her co

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   A Chance At Bonding

Syrus’s POVSyrus got home, more exhausted than he had been. He was able to get Davis out of his hair. He already knew that he would not be able to tell anyone about what he was going through, and at the same time, he still hadn’t been able to come up with how to get the truth about what happened years ago with the Frenchman.“If only Anderson was kind enough to just tell me how to go about it easily without the hassles,” Syrus said to himself. He knew that Anderson would tell him if it was in his right to do so, but that did not change the fact that he wished Anderson had the solution to his problem, because there was no one else who knew about his past except Anderson, and of course, the slimy, sneaky Ken.Syrus got into the living room, and he was reminded of how he left the house and the issue with his mother. The living room seemed quiet and serene, and Syrus was hoping that he could just sneak into his bedroom and hide until the next day when he would leave for work, because h

  • Mr. CEO We're Done!   A New Team

Georgia’s POV“Tell me everything I need to know,” Georgia said to Ken.She could barely contain her glee for this useful information. Before now, Georgia had wished that she knew something ugly and dirty about Syrus, his family, or the family’s company, so that should Syrus make an attempt to leave her after his family had publicly paraded her as their chosen daughter-in-law, she would have something to hold them by. She had tried to find something, but nothing was forthcoming. Albeit, Georgia just knew that there had to be something. She had been in this game long enough to know the ways of wealthy and powerful men, and she just knew…“At what cost?” Ken asked.Georgia was taken aback. He came to her willingly with information and claims that they had something in common, and now he was seeking something in return?Georgia scoffed. “So it’s now scratching my back, I scratch yours now? I never asked for this, Doctor Ken. You showed up at my house unannounced demanding for something i

Georgia’s POV“What are you talking about?” Georgia asked Ken. “What common thing could we possibly have?” Georgia asked him.Ken walked around the living room slowly instead, gazing around and taking in the beauty and luxury of her living room, making Georgia slightly uncomfortable, and she began to wonder if she hadn’t made a mistake letting him in.“You haven’t answered my question,” Georgia said as she began to think quickly about what she could possibly lay her hands on with immediate alacrity, knowing that the tale about having emergency number on speed dial and working cameras were lies.“I will answer it, but I think we need to get to know each other better,” Ken said as his hand carefully caressed Georgia’s leather couch. “Your interior is breathtaking. I must commend that you have an eye for good taste,” Ken complimented slowly. He was gradually bidding his time and slowly building the bridge. Georgia just needed to get some of her things fixed up at the moment. When she got mistakenly hit and the call ended, Brenda did not call her back to even apologize for the way she spoke to Georgia.“I am going to teach her a lesson she will never forget,” Georgia told herself. She had a meeting at the show later that week, and she intended to deal thoroughly with Brenda. Georgia was already on her way to the top, and she intended to use her power to the fullest. When she was struggling to get to the top, she was treated harshly and cruelly by wealthy and powerful people. What was the point of asking Davis to leave when he had already gotten to his office.Syrus arrived at work earlier than most of his staff members, because after his mother pushed him out of her room, he just went into his bathroom, got dressed, and left the house. Besides, he also needed to show up at work and continue with his job. He hadn’t come to the company since the scandal, and he knew that he could not run away forever, or just wait around for Ken to drop the bomb that would explode his life. Since Syrus got to the office, he had hardly done anything, because his mind had been reeling with different thoughts. Georgia’s POVGeorgia arrived back in town late last night using a VIP flight, and she had just gone over to her apartment and had a good rest. The tour had lasted for only a few days, although Georgia had wished that she had stayed longer, maybe like a week, because the thought of coming back to face Syrus and his demand was just something she was not in the mood to handle right now.Pictures and videos from her tours had been circulating the internet, and while on tour, Georgia had gotten a call from an equally high class TV show wanting to strike a contract, which came with TV shows and a tour to four different countries, along with juicy incentives and publicity. The money they offered was something that Georgia had never been offered before, and she almost screamed her head off after the call.“I am a fucking rich star!” Georgia has squealed in her hotel room. Then she had ordered the most expensive wine in the hotel, bills on the TV show of course, and she had celebrated her suc
