Georgia’s POV
“That will be all, Miss Georgia. Thank you for joining us on the show,” the representative for the star booster said with a tender smile.
Georgia smiled charmingly to the camera as well and said, “Oh, thank you for having me,” she told the young lady.
She had just finished a round of interview with star booster, one of the platforms that would help promote her and bring her to the limelight. The lady had asked just the right questions…just as Georgia had paid their manager to do.
She liked exactly how things were going for her.
After the representative and her crew members left, Georgia went to the restaurant and waited for Syrus. The interview was held in the hotel loft, so it was very easy to just grab lunch after the interview, and also, she and Syrus had decided to meet up for lunch.
Georgia checked her fancy wristwatch; Syrus was fifteen minutes late already.
“What could be keeping him up?” Georgia asked herself as she ordered for a glass of Mojito while she waited. Finally, she had Syrus all to herself; divorced and very single, and with this new interview, things were about to be different for the both of them.
Not long, Syrus walked into the restaurant in long strides. Georgia watched the movement of his legs lustily. “Soon, all of these would be mine,” Georgia said to herself.
As Syrus got to where she was sitting and waiting for him, Georgia noticed one of the restaurant customers staring at them with curiosity.
“Well, time to give you all a show,” Georgia whispered to herself as she grabbed Syrus’s hand before he took his seat, signaling him for a peck. Like a gentleman, Syrus pecked her on both cheeks before he took his seat.
Georgia glanced briefly at the nosy customer to be sure she caught that moment. Everything that would make Georgia and Syrus look like the perfect couple, Georgia was up for it.
“How was your interview?” Syrus asked, but his voice was distant and unsettled.
“It went well, although I still wish you would join me in taking these interviews one of these days,” Georgia said.
Syrus only ordered for a glass of water with lots of ice; he definitely wasn’t in the best of moods. Sweetly, Georgia reached forth for his hand and took his in hers. “Is this about what I told you?” Georgia asked.
“Huh?” For a minute, Syrus was completely lost. Actually, since he stepped into the restaurant, he had been absentminded.
“Are you in a mood because of the information I gave you about Vivian?” Georgia elaborated.
“Oh, that,” Syrus said. Then he snorted. “I almost did not believe you, Georgia,” he said.
“But you know that I would never lie to you,” Georgia said. I love you too much to outwardly lie to you or hurt you, Syrus, Georgia said inwardly. She could not wait for the day she would freely express how she felt to Syrus, and he would reciprocate wholeheartedly.
By that time, Vivian would have been out of their lives completely for good.
“I had gone in for a checkup, like I already told you,” Georgia recapped. “And while I passed by the ward, which I didn’t even know that its patient was Vivian, I heard the doctor clearly announcing to her and that lousy lowlife friend of hers about Vivian being pregnant with triplets,” Georgia said and chuckled lightly. “I could not believe it myself. I mean, anything just to rope you in,” Georgia finished.
“Yeah, she did not deny it when I asked her,” Syrus said.
Georgia’s head snapped as she looked at Syrus. “Where…how…I don’t…” Georgia struggled to find the right words.
“I had to,” Syrus said.
Georgia was still a little lost, but nonetheless, she took Syrus’s hand again and said sweetly, “No matter what, none of that matters anymore. I know the embarrassment she put you and your mother through. It’s a good thing you already know, so that you don’t fall into one of her schemes,” Georgia ensured that the words came out sweetly.
“You will be alright, okay?” She tried to assure Syrus. Syrus nodded in agreement. Then Georgia asked him with a smile, “But how did you confront her?”
“I went over to her family house to talk about it,” Syrus answered, oblivious of Georgia’s feelings.
Instantly, Georgia almost turned purple. Her insides churned and she almost let out a painful howl. The only thing that did not reflect in the way she felt was her hand holding Syrus’s hand. Georgia was so skilled in what she did that she still managed to hold Syrus tenderly, even though what she desperately wanted to do was squeeze her fingers in annoyance.
“Why would you do that, Syrus? You know she triggers your emotions, and we are trying to get you out of that space,” Georgia said.
“I had to, Georgia. That was one of the reasons why you told me, right?” Syrus looked deeply at Georgia and asked.
Georgia gritted her teeth and released a tight smile.
And Syrus misread her emotions. “Thank you, Georgia, for finding out and telling me immediately about it,” Syrus started.
Oh, now I wish I didn’t, Georgia cried inwardly, regretting her very actions.
“If it wasn’t for you, Vivian would probably never have mentioned anything to me. She would never have reached out to me and informed me about my impending fatherhood,” Syrus continued with a proud and happy smile that Georgia hadn’t seen on Syrus’s face in a really long time.
“Triplets, Georgia,” Syrus was happy.
Georgia released another tight smile. She was gradually turning purple while Syrus basked in his excitement. When she had hurried told Syrus what she heard at the hospital, she had done so with the intentions that Syrus would fight Vivian for trying to trap him into a commitment, but now it seemed that she was doing it without even trying.
“I am going to be the best dad ever,” Syrus said, still reveling in the feel of the moment.
“Of course, you would,” Georgia said tightly. Any more words about it from Syrus and her charade would fall apart and she would scream. “I need to use the restroom,” Georgia quickly excused herself and hurried off.
In the restroom, she released her pent up emotions and yelled in anger.
Vivian’s POVI resumed my position in my workplace days later. It was plain stupid and useless to just sit around doing nothing at home, and because I was pregnant did not mean that I would have to give up on my dreams. I already did that when I was married to Syrus; I am not about to do that again. My dad and Manny had tried to stop me, but when they realized that I was still as stubborn as I used to be, they let me be.“Just be careful and take things slow over there, alright,” they had told me when I stepped out of the house that Monday morning.“Hey, we missed you out here,” Dan popped up in front of me as cheerful as ever. He had some bubble gums with him. “I happen to be generous today,” he added, referring to the bubble gums. “Want some?” he asked, stretching them towards me.I shook my head politely. “Thank you, Dan, I think I’ll pass,” I told him with a smile. Since I discovered that I was pregnant, I stopped taking anything that had sugar in them. I wanted to be sound and h
Vivian’s POV“Is that Georgia?” another female staff rushed out and joined the one who turned up the volume of the TV.I had no idea that people loved and fawned over Georgia this much, and although I would never admit it to anyone, it made me furious, because then it would make me understand why Syrus chose to be with her over me.“Oh, gosh, so disgusting,” Belinda said angrily. The two female staff could not hear her, because they were too engrossed in listening to Georgia, and the only person who could hear and feel Belinda’s hatred was me.“Yes, it is,” the first staff responded. “And it seems she and Syrus are now in a relationship,” she announced with glee. Both of them squealed delightedly like kids who were taken to a candy store and asked to take as many candies as they liked. If there was anywhere I did not want to be right now, it was here.“But we would like a hint, Georgia,” the interviewer pressed subtly. The thing with these reporters and interviewers was that they alw
Vivian’s POVI decided that I wasn’t going to dwell on what happened at my place of work some days ago. It had been a couple of days now after the incidence, and after Syrus came and promised to be a part of the whole process, and nothing yet from him.Not that I was keeping counts anyway.I settled at the dining and scooped some cereals into my mouth. Belinda was right; it was useless brooding over any of it.“Hi, you,” my dad said as he stepped into the living room. He had just returned from his golf course. “How many bowls of that have you had?” he chuckled as he came over to me and kissed my forehead.Ever since I got pregnant and began to eat like an elephant, I have been constantly and mercilessly teased by my family and Belinda about being a foodie. In truth, the babies made me want to devour everything in sight, and I was barely a month gone.“How was your golf course?” I asked him, trying the steer the conversation away from me and my intense desire to eat as much as I could
Vivian’s POV“I don’t understand what you are talking about,” I insisted.I did not smell any form of alcohol on Syrus, and besides, he was hardly the drinking type, so I could not understand why he would show up at my door sounding weird and funny, and talking like someone who was drunk. After the divorce, I have hardly even been anywhere else aside the hospital.“You like to play games of pretense, don’t you?” Syrus sounded bitter and very pissed.“I honestly have no clue what you are on about, and frankly you are going to piss me off with such silly accusations!” I told Syrus. Yes, I swallowed and digested every ill treatment I got from both Syrus and his mother, not to mention his sister, Bonnie, but what I would not take was Syrus extending that rudeness and bullying to the place I call home.“If you have nothing to say, please leave,” I ordered him. It was a good thing that he had decided not to step into the living room today. Right now, I just wanted him to leave me alone.“If
Vivian’s POVI sat cuddled up on the couch like a lonely kitten. Aside the fight Belinda and I had when I turned my back on all of them and married Syrus, we hadn’t fought. Then, I hadn’t felt the impact of the fight, because things between Syrus and I were still very good, and I had him around me almost all the time, so there was barely time to dwell on the fact that my best friend and I were not on speaking terms. But now, the weight of it was gradually killing me.Ever since I divorced Syrus and came back home, Belinda had been by my side the entire time. Even when I felt she was doing too much, she remained consistent in her care and love. Belinda helped me find the job at my workplace, and she always stopped by to either check up on me, or drag me out for lunch.Gosh, it was only twenty-four hours and I already miss her this deeply.“Are you going to just sit here and sulk all day or actually go and talk things out with her,” Manny said as he sat close to me. He pulled me closer
Vivian’s POVI stood there, shocked to my bones, and frozen as ice. I literally could not believe what just happened. Well, maybe Manny was wrong for thinking that Belinda was not cold-hearted.In all honesty, I knew Belinda as a soft-hearted person, which was why when Manny said what he said, I just took the initiative and came here. Manny was wrong, and so was I. A bitter reality that I might have to get accustomed to now is that in my absence, a lot of things might have changed, including the attitude of people I once knew.My heart was shattered into a million pieces.Losing Syrus was one thing, but losing my best friend was another thing entirely. Belinda had been the closest female in my life, and just now that I needed her right beside me, I had gone and messed things up between us. I stood there like a log for a few more seconds before deciding to leave. My legs felt too heavy, and my heart bled, but standing there was not going to solve anything. So I turned around and manage
Vivian’s POVI don’t know why, but I allowed Belinda drag me all the way across town all in the name of shopping.“We really shouldn’t be doing this,” I told Belinda who took out her purse and began to apply some makeup on her face. “Gosh, Bel, in a taxi?” I said and laughed.Belinda would never cease to surprise me. She was always doing weird things, and when confronted about it, she would call it spontaneity. “A girl has to look pretty all the time,” Belinda said defensively.I watched her apply mascara on her eye lashes and shook my head in bewilderment. I also noticed that the driver was throwing us, Belinda especially, glances from time to time, but I said nothing. Belinda was never worried about how she was seen or perceived, and I stopped doing the worrying for her a long time ago.“You had your makeup done before we left your apartment, Belinda, and you spent an hour on it!” I said.“Yes, but that was some minutes ago. If I could retouch my makeup every passing second, trust
Georgia’s POVGeorgia tossed her purse on the couch; more like flung it as she and Bonnie entered the house.“Did you hear the things that unruly lowlife girl said to me?” Georgia was burning with rage.“She was so nasty,” Bonnie said. But Georgia could not shake the words off her system. For some reason, she was very upset that Bonnie could not even stand up for her and defend her just the way Vivian’s friend did for her. If Bonnie had been sharp witted just like her, then it would not have been a lost battle. Not only was Vivian shopping in the exact store that she shopped, she also had the nerve to set her up with her friend.“And we just stood there and did nothing,” Georgia said as she flopped on the chair. She did not want to specifically point all the accusing fingers towards Bonnie, because now that she was doing everything possible to get into this family, she should not be found pushing blames around. But at the same time, she refused to be a pushover like they did to Vivian
Syrus’s POVSyrus almost passed out; the news of Georgia’s pregnancy was all over the internet.“Fast Rising Star - Georgia is pregnant! And guess who the daddy is? Syrus Vale, CEO and heir of the Vale company.”Syrus opened his mouth in shock.“We are so happy!” Nancy said as she and Bonnie exchanged happy smiles. “Finally, a baby with the right woman!” Nancy gushed some more. But Syrus wasn’t listening to his mother, as he continued to read the rest of the story online.“Recall that a while back, there had been speculations about a relationship going on between Georgia and Georgia confirmed that they were dating. Well, apparently, something significant did come out of the relationship this time around, but we are curious; what about Syrus’s first wife?”Syrus was already shaking his head as he read through. “We never came back together!” Syrus stated, his voice hitting the roof.It was as though he desperately wanted his family and the general public to believe him. Then it dawned o
Syrus’s POVSyrus left Vivian’s apartment almost right after. The mistake he made was that he would have followed Vivian immediately she left and insisted on not letting her go, but he had been too stunned by everything that had happened that he wasn’t even acting right at all, and when he had realized that Vivian was truly gone, just a couple of seconds after, he had raced outside, but it seemed as though she had gotten a quick taxi and disappeared.Syrus had tried to run after her, but he didn’t even know the direction she had taken. He was confused. He was agitated, so he decided to call Davis. By all rights, Davis was his lawyer, and he wasn’t even supposed to be dealing with this all by himself. In fact, Syrus was now very upset as he recalled that Davis actually left right after Vivian declared that she was never going to sign the contract.“Wasn’t he supposed to pressure her and make her sign it?” Syrus asked no one in particular.Thinking about it now, Syrus was not even cons
Vivian’s POV“What do you mean by that?” Syrus asked me as I busied myself with packing the few things my hands could grab. Besides, it was not like I had much anyway.“I believe I was clear enough the first time,” I said angrily.“You are not going anywhere,” Syrus declared firmly.I left what I was doing and turned to him, shocked that he still had the nerve to be throwing orders and instructions at me.“Then leave!” I said. “I just want you to leave, Syrus, because I cannot bear the sight of you right now,” I added angrily.“There is no way I am leaving you in this state, Vivian; it’s too risky,” Syrus objected.“What do you mean by that?” I asked, confused, because I could not understand why he was saying what he just said, and his it aligned with the discussion at hand.“I know you, Vivian. If I leave you here, I might not find you here the next time I get back, and I cannot have that, which is why I wanted you to sign the contract before Georgia came and spoiled everything,” Sy
Vivian’s POVI looked at Syrus, shaken, confused, and downright heartbroken.Syrus had been my one and only, and to find out that he had a fiancé was just heartbreaking. My lips had quivered, and it was even a miracle that his phone did not fall from my hand.“What are you doing with my phone?” Syrus had asked instead of answering my question. My breathing had already increased rapidly, and it had felt like my heart was going to either explode or fall into my stomach. My world had literally come crashing down at that moment.“You have a fiancé?” I had repeated, more intensely this time around. My voice had shaken, and Syrus knew this. Tears had also spilled from my eyes.“We are no longer together,” Syrus had answered. Then he had walked up to me and collected his phone. He didn’t seem happy, and I could not tell if his anger was coming from the fact that I had looked through his phone, or something else, but whatever it was, Syrus looked upset which wasn’t fair, because I was the one
Vivian’s POVAfter walking out on Syrus and his lawyer, I stayed in the bedroom, and cried my eyes out.I have been a fool for Syrus, over and over again, but right now, I feel completely foolish and useless.“When are you going to ever learn, Vivian?” I asked myself amidst tears. “When are you going to stop being a fool for him?” I continued to question myself. The fact that we were divorced did not make the pain of his hurt any lighter. Syrus Vale was the first man I ever loved and dated, and up till now, the only man I have ever given my body to, but he had never been completely faithful to me. My family and Belinda were right; I was a fool for believing that a man like Syrus Vale who had seen the world would stay faithful to me. Even though we were two years apart, Syrus was obviously more exposed and experienced than I was, but I didn’t care, because I was deeply in love with him. Maybe if I had cared, I would not be in this situation. My babies deserved a family, not one that i
Georgia’s POVEven though Georgia was practically asked to leave the house, she was still giddy with excitement. The announcement plan certainly went exactly the way she wanted it. The shock and hurt was evident in their faces, especially Vivian’s, and Georgia could not have been happier.“I deserve an Oscar for this!” Georgia told herself with pride. As far as she was concerned, she was a good actress, and also, she had been able to steer the entire situation to her favor. Georgia knew that the next person that Vivian would run to was her best friend, but then again, she already had that part sorted out. One thing Georgia had noticed knowing Vivian and Belinda was that Belinda was literally Vivian’s backbone, and in the world of bringing an enemy to the ground, one would have to destroy the backbone first, or keep it at bay, before attacking the main enemy. Georgia hadn’t bothered with Belinda when she made her first strike by having an affair with Syrus, because she knew that they
Vivian’s POVI had no intention to shed tears, but I could hardly believe what just happened.Georgia was pregnant…for Syrus. We are divorced now, I understand, but that did not make it any less hurtful. I felt my heart shattering into a million pieces. The same woman that Syrus had an affair with, that caused me to divorce him, is now pregnant for him. So they have truly been in a relationship all this time. It wasn’t a new gist, but somehow, I had thought and hoped that it was all a lie. I watched Syrus as he read through the pregnancy result, and from the look on his face, Georgia was truly pregnant. I also noticed the look Georgia gave me; scornful and triumphant, and my heart broke.“It is a good thing your lawyer is here, Syrus, so that he knows that things are legal now,” Georgia said, breaking the silence.Syrus’s lawyer, Davis, stretched his neck and took a look at the result, and he shook his head. “Should we sit down and make things legal?” Georgia asked. “Wait, what?” Sy
Georgia’s POVThe shock on everyone’s faces gave Georgia more joy than she ever anticipated.“What…what are you talking about?” Syrus stuttered, utterly stunned. All Syrus’s pomposity and pride deflated, and it was evident in his voice. Georgia absolutely liked that, because it also gave her the chance to walk through all of them into the living room. While they looked at her in shock, she glanced around the living room. Georgia could not deny that it was cozy and luxurious.“So this is the place Syrus got for Vivian,” Georgia said to herself spitefully. Hatred, anger, and bitterness towards Vivian bubbled to the surface, and Georgia had to force herself not to scream. Every time she tried to make Vivian pay, things ended up being in her favor. Syrus had not spent a dime on Georgia ever since she met him; well, aside the first time when they had that wild and abrupt affair, and she only money she got from Syrus was giving her money when he wanted to leave the hotel, which Georgia had
Syrus’s POVSyrus and Davis arrived at the apartment he rented for her. The apartment was not just empty, but it was locked, so Syrus and Davis had to stand outside, which Syrus felt extremely embarrassed as he kept muttering under his breath. Davis kept checking his wristwatch and stomping his foot, waiting impatiently.“Did you call her to ensure that she was home?” Davis asked Syrus, trying not to sound as impatient as he was actually feeling.Syrus threw Davis a warning look. “I am just asking, Mr. Vale, because I do have a court case in less than two hours that I actually need to prepare for,” Davis said.He knew that he was standing on thin ice with Syrus, and his best job was actually on the line, so he needed to act accordingly, but at the same time, he had a very important court case to attend to. When he had taken the contract to Syrus, he had expected that Syrus would just collect the contract, take it to Vivian, have her sign it and bring it back to him, but instead, Syr
