"Urgent?" I mutter.

It's been months since John has barely talked to me. Yes, he doesn't talk to me or anyone like before. It's all about, did kids eat? , did they sleep? are they doing well? , do they tell you something they don't tell me? '

That's all we talk about and I have barely seen him smiling. When he's with the boys, he genuinely smiles for them and he's always available for them, unlike before. It seems like he's trying to fill a void.
