Chapter 33

Annelise's POV

I left Amanda and her minions after we both arrived at a conclusion that's meant to favor both sides.

She sure has it wrong in thinking I'll help her spy on Ethan. I'm not stupid, and I know the relationship between both of them.

The moment I was freed by them, I ran out of the door and took the next available bus.

My face was covered well; one of the things that serves as peace of mind for me now since I'm now kind of not expected to be seen outside anyhow.

The bus stopped at the nearest bus stop to Ethan's house, and I got down with the remaining people in the bus looking at me weirdly, probably wondering what a commoner like me is doing in the most popular location for rich people.

I walked to the house sluggishly, I was thinking of a lot of things, there's still one big storm I have dissolved or revisited since.

When I got home, I saw Ethan's car parked in the hallway. It's just that it isn't parked the same way; this one looks neater.

I stopped working immediately
