Chapter 5

"You are done." Alex looks up at her and says to her. He drops his laptop and stands up, stretching himself. Looking at him now, Oliver can't help but admire his perfectly aligned toned body. His body is well built.

"Yes, I am." Oliver says back to him, blushing slightly. "Stop talking like I spent so much time in there." She says and walks over to the bed.

"You did." Alex replies..

“The divorce letter is still at the table there. You can still sign it if you want to. You don’t have to pity me and stay all because of that.” Alex said with a cold face.

“Where is the letter?” She asked him.

Alex felt his heat hurt when he heard this. At least she is not pretending to want to be with me. It is okay to set her free. He does not want her to hurt herself just because he forced her to stay with him. He wants her to be happy, he sighed even though he was hurting he still had a cold face. He pointed at the table beside the bed.

He closed his eyes as he watched her walked towards the divorce letter.

He could feel his heart breaking into pieces. He opened his eyes and turned around to leave the room.

“Where are you going?” He heard her soft voice behind him.

“It is late. I am sure you can not wait to finalize the divorce but it is already late we will go early tomorrow morning “ He said without turning back.

“Look at him” Olivia said.

Alex really does not want to turn around. He did not want to look because he was really afraid that he would get hurt more, but he still turned around to look at her.

She was holding the divorce letter but she suddenly tore it and threw the into the bin.

“I told you we are not getting a divorce anymore” She said with a smile.

He felt happy but he did not allow it show in his face.

“Suit yourself “ He said and heads into the bathroom.

Olivia sighed when she saw that he was still acting cold towards her. She understood that she was the one who was the jerk before and treated him badly. She looked at the pieces of paper in the bin.

She already refused to get a divorce, so she should be able to change her fate right?

She looked at the bathroom door he is not so bad after all and he has a good sense of humor and most importantly, he is handsome. Oliver giggles and rolls on the bed. She will change everything by being with him now. This time then, she has left Alexander and rushed over to Ethan breaking the good news to him that Alexander has freed her from the bondage, called Marriage. Ethan was so elated then that he took her out and they spent so lavishly but the money was on her.

Everything was planned, it was fake. The smile, the declaration of love. Oliver sighs and lays on the bed, pulling the comforter close to her. She can't believe she had just experienced death by fire, getting burnt alive. Well, this second chance won't be wasted. She will be sure to get revenge on them and make them feel twice the pain she felt when the fire was burning her.

Oliver is already dozing off when she felt the otherside of the bed shrink. She opened her eyes and saw that it was Alex. She felt happy that he was at least willing to sleep beside her. She moved closer to him and wrapped her hand around his waist, then buried her face on his perfect chest. He held his breath but he did not push her away.

"Alex, can you take me out tomorrow?" She asks him.

"No I don’t have time." Alex responded

“Let’s go on a date together. We have never go on a date before” Olivia said.

Alex froze.

“A date?” He asked.

She nodded.

Oliver does not fancy being around him not to talk of going on a date with him.

"Yes. A date. With you." She assures him.

"Okay. I'm free tomorrow so I will." Alex replies to her. Oliver can feel his smile, even though she isn't seeing his face.

They spend the next minutes listening to their breath and resting on each other's arms. Oliver loves it so much and wonders how gullible she was then to do that to him. Laying in his arms and feeling his packs under her hand, she is at peace. A serene peace. A trust, a strong one. She is sure of him and that was because she realized late that his feelings are the purest. Oliver feels ashamed of herself for that.

"Oliver!" Alex calls softly when she is about dozing off.

"Mm.." she hums back at him.

"I… you…" He stutters and drums with his fingers on her back. It seems he is nervous.

"What is it?" Oliver asks, raising her head up to look at him. His deep brown eyes shone brightly at her and in the dark room.

"What made you change your mind to stay with me?" He asks. Oliver understands what he is talking about, what he is trying to say, what he is trying to ask. Her change of behavior, her sudden interest in him.

"Because I realized I have been too selfish." Oliver replies. His eyes are staring deeply at her with no words spoken. "That doesn't mean I've accepted you, I'm just giving you a chance." Oliver says with a smirk and snuggles back close to.

She is giving him a chance, a chance to prove his love, to win her heart. Alex is excited and feels on top of the world. He will do it this time. Ethan won't have a chance at her. He will prove to her that she is the biggest and most treasurable person in the world for him. Without her, he will die or he will surely die with her. He can't possibly live without her. And that was why he wanted to free her from the marriage to meet Ethan. He knows she's unhappy with him and doesn't want her hurt, he doesn't want her to die because of him. Even though he felt excited about she giving him a chance he still had a voice telling him not too be too happy because she might change her mind again and leave him again.

But here she is, giving him a chance. He will make sure he doesn't misuse it. He will take care of her and spend it on her. Reassures her that he loves her and gives no chance to Ethan to creep back into her heart. Instead, he will creep into her heart unexpectedly and make her fall for him, even deeply.

Alexander opens the car door for Oliver.

"Thank you." She murmurs at him and hops into the car. Alex walks over to the other Oliver walks out of the bathroom and sees Alexander sitting on the couch with a laptop in front of him. He is typing away on it and his focus is on it. Oliver had worn her night dress in the bathroom, she is really shy to come out and wear it in front of him, naked. Yes, they were married but he had never forcefully slept with her. And she doesn't like him so she went over to give Ethan her body willingly.
