Lilian POV

I woke up to the unbearable sound of the doorbell. The sun had barely risen outside, and I was still sleeping soundly because I was so tired due to the events of yesterday morning, but the sound of the doorbell was insistent. With my heart racing, I got out of bed, my eyes heavy with sleep, and went to the door. When I opened it, I found men from the city hall, all in blue uniforms, and their serious expressions made my stomach turn.

“You need to leave immediately. We will demolish the building in five minutes,” announced one of them, and his words hit my heart like an ax. Demolish? What did this mean? I remembered Jensen's words from the night before. So was he really making good on his threat? I didn't even have time to think; reality was crumbling before me.

“What are you talking about? You don’t have the right to do that, okay?” I told them with my heart racing, but the men barely moved. Sadie, the nanny, rushed into the room with disheveled hair and the expressio

Lilian POV The adrenaline was still coursing through my veins when the kids, Sadie, and I got into Jensen's car. The situation was surreal, like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from. As he drove, I looked out the windows, trying to process the destruction that had just happened. What had become of my home? The kids were restless in the backseat, trying to handle the situation their way, asking little questions that only added to the anguish in my heart. The sound of the car's engine filled the tense silence that hovered between us and Jensen, who was driving with an expression of satisfaction that left me even more incredulous. The demolition scene was still fresh in my mind, the dust, the screams of the machines, and my house collapsing in an instant. Jensen turned to me, a sarcastic smile on his lips. “Don’t worry about your boyfriend. His house was the first one I destroyed this morning,” he said, his voice permeating with an arrogance that made me furious. A chill ran down m

Lilian POV I couldn't believe what I saw. Jensen was literally threatening to take custody of the children. Every word that came out of his mouth sounded like a sharp blade, cutting through the hope that still remained in my heart. What once seemed like a nightmare was now becoming reality. I realized that Jensen's goal was never Rustburg or greed for the money he would earn from that city hall project. What he really wanted was to destroy my life. He would leave me homeless, jobless, friendless, unarmed, and use the children as weapons, cornering me and making me feel like I had no choice but to return with him to Richmond. Either I lost the children, or I had to go with him to Richmond to keep them. The irony was not lost on me: he was literally claiming me back. My heart raced with the pain of this reality. “You are wicked, Jensen Grimes,” I said, my voice shaking but steady. I felt the adrenaline pulsing through my veins, but also the weakness that was beginning to infiltrate

Lilian POV It all happened so fast that I barely had time to process it. Suddenly, I was back in that mansion in Richmond, next to Jensen and the kids. It felt like a dream—or maybe a nightmare, depending on how I looked at it. The plan to continue fighting in Rustburg, to try to stop the mayor, had been abruptly interrupted. I knew that, in some ways, I had no choice. Jensen was persuasive and insistent, as he always was. When he decided that the triplets and I should return with him, there was no room for argument. Not that I was the type to argue or create trouble. I never went. My way has always been more... passive. I wasn't one of those women who raised their voices or stamped their feet to get what they wanted. On the contrary, I have always tried to find peace and harmony in situations, even when life seemed to be falling apart around me. And now, here I was again, returning to a life I had left behind. The children, on the other hand, were delighted. On the plane, Rory,

Lilian POV The mansion was huge and imposing, and every hour it seemed bigger to my eyes. Since we got back to Richmond, everything was more or less as I remembered it. The same silk curtains hanging across the windows, the elegant furniture scattered throughout the rooms, and the soft rugs beneath my feet. It was as if time had stopped while I was gone, as if Jensen had kept everything intact, waiting for me to return. He was visibly happy to have us back. I saw it in his every gesture. From the moment the plane landed, he couldn't hide the joy of having the children and me under the same roof again. It was even comical to see him like this after that horror show he put on in that small town where the children and I lived, he was the devil himself, and here, he seemed like just a father and an ex-husband worried about getting his family back. Jensen talked about it all the time, always reminding me how much the house had missed me and how much he himself had missed it. "You h

Lilian POV The morning was cool and silent when I got out of bed. The house, as always, was monumentally peaceful. It was difficult to get used to so much space and so much silence after years of living in much smaller and noisier environments. The children were already awake and, as always, excited about the new life they were leading here. For them, Richmond was a paradise. For me, however, it was a gilded cage. I dressed quickly, determined to follow through with my plan. What I wanted was simple: a job—something that would allow me to rebuild my life from scratch, away from Jensen's shadow, and look for things that brought back memories of Rustburg. I couldn't, I didn't want to depend on him forever. And what's more, this was the only way to guarantee my independence and, eventually, that of my children. “Good morning, my little angels,” I said to the three as I entered the kitchen, going to kiss them on the cheeks. They were too busy with their games and conversations to not

Finn POV The days seemed to drag on like an endless nightmare. Arrested in the Rustburg police station, I felt like I was buried alive. The weight of helplessness suffocated me, every second that passed reminded me of the life I had lost and of what was taken from me without warning. The cell was small and claustrophobic, with only a narrow, barred window through which a sliver of light entered. I spent hours looking at the sky outside, but at the same time, I didn't have the energy to get up. I knew that things were literally falling apart on the outside. My mother's house... destroyed. Everything I had left of her, everything I had to remember our moments together, was now nothing more than rubble. And me? I was here, locked up, unable to do anything while everything around me was torn to pieces. This feeling of helplessness was what hurt the most. Knowing that if I had been out there, maybe I could have done something. Maybe I could have prevented that brutal demolition. But no.

Lilian POV The days at Jensen's mansion had passed like a haze. Everything was different now. Ever since I left Rustburg and came to Richmond with the kids, it was like I was living a borrowed life. I had a home there, yes, and Jensen was doing everything he could to make me feel comfortable, but something inside me was still broken. I couldn't forget what happened, and no matter how hard he tried, it wouldn't change so easily. Still, I couldn't ignore the effort Jensen made to please me. Every morning, he surprised me with romantic gestures—simple things that had meaning. Like breakfast in bed. I would wake up to the soothing aroma of coffee, fresh fruit, and warm bread, and there he would be, smiling as he placed the tray in front of me. I pretended everything was fine, forcing a smile, because, in a way, it was difficult not to be affected by him. Jensen was magnetic, I couldn't deny that. His presence filled the space, and even if I tried to move away, he always found a way t

Lilian POV A week had passed since our children and I moved into Jensen's mansion. Time here ran strangely. Even with all the tranquility and comfort, I couldn't help but feel like I was living in a place that wasn't mine. It seemed like every second I spent there took me a little further away from who I was and everything I had built in the time I spent in Rustburg. I was trying to adapt, but the change had been too quick and drastic for me and, especially, for the children. They still weren't dealing with all of this well, and I knew that every time I saw Rory and Ryan's lost look or when I saw Ruby with her doll, whispering softly, asking to come home. They missed the routine and the security we had before, no matter how simple it was. And most of all, they missed Sadie. The nanny had been a constant in their lives since they were born, and now, with everything turned upside down, I knew her presence would make all the difference. That morning, I woke up determined to talk to

  • Mr. Billionaire Claims Me Back    Epilogue: Deserved happy ending

Months had passed since the moment Lilian and Jensen had united forever, and the mansion, already full of life and joy, now seemed to be living a new chapter of great happiness. The afternoon was calm, but the atmosphere inside the house was buzzing with anticipation. Lilian, in labor, was preparing to give birth to the couple's fourth child, and emotions were running high.Jensen, visibly nervous, paced back and forth. His feet tapped the floor with a constant rhythm, a reflection of the whirlwind of thoughts that wouldn't settle. He paused briefly, looking at the door of the room where his wife was being assisted by the nurses. His mind couldn't find peace, thoughts of what might happen spread, even though he knew Lilian was in good hands."You need to calm down," said Philip, the couple's friend, who stood by Jensen's side. He knew how anxious Jensen could be, and his calm had always been a pillar of support. "She's strong. And you'll be an incredible father, no matter what happens

Lilian's POVI returned to the garden where Jensen was waiting for me, his attentive gaze fixing on me as soon as he saw me. He had a way of noticing when something wasn't right, and this time was no different. He had gone to check on the children, but now, he was there, as if he knew I needed him more than ever."Hey, love," he said softly, kneeling beside me. "Is everything okay?"I looked at him, and the answer just escaped me. "I'm so happy for her, but at the same time so sad. She was a part of all this, of us, and now... she's leaving..."Jensen looked at me with silent understanding, as if he knew exactly what I was feeling. He extended his hand, and with a serene smile, he pulled me close, wrapping me in his embrace. "I understand, Lilian. I felt it too, and I know how important she was. But life goes on, and people need to take new steps. And you... you've always been wonderful with her."I gave a faint smile, the weight of his words enveloping me in a comforting way. I knew

Lilian POVThe night was calm and pleasant, with a gentle breeze caressing my face and soft lights illuminating the garden. I was there, sitting with Jensen, enjoying the tranquil moments of the party. The laughter of children and the soft sounds of celebration still echoed through the house, but for a moment, the world seemed to shrink to just the two of us.Jensen held my hand and smiled. "It was a perfect day, wasn't it?""Yes, it really was," I replied, resting my head on his shoulder. "I feel so happy that we managed to pull all this off."We sat in silence for a few minutes, simply enjoying each other's company. But then, a familiar figure approached from the garden. It was Sadie, with that wide smile that always accompanied her."Hi, Lilian! Mr. Grimes! Congratulations, really, your wedding was wonderful," she said, smiling sincerely as she approached. "Everything was impeccable, and the kids were so happy. I've never seen them so excited.""Thank you, Sadie. I'm very glad you

Lilian POVIt was an ordinary day. The sun came through the windows of the house, illuminating the room with a golden light. Children were playing in the yard, their laughter filling the air. I was in the kitchen, tidying up some things, while Jensen seemed mysteriously busy somewhere in the house. "You're very quiet today, Jensen. What are you up to?" I asked, half joking, while washing some fruit. "Me? No big deal." He replied, appearing in the doorway with a mischievous smile. "You're terrible at keeping secrets." I laughed, drying my hands. He just shrugged. "Trust me. Just come with me." "Now?" I asked, surprised. "Now." He took my hand and led me to the conservatory. When we entered, I noticed the atmosphere was different. Flowers were scattered across the floor, forming a path to a small table where there was a velvet box. My heart started to race. "Jensen..." I started, but he interrupted me with a tender look. "Let me speak first, Lilian." He took a deep bre

Lilian POVDays after everything that happened, we were back in Richmond, at our home. Or rather, in Jensen's mansion. I knew things would never be the same, but I also knew we no longer had to carry the weight of Kate or any other threat. She was tried and sentenced to many years in prison for killing Finn and screwing Jensen and me. It was a relief, but not a cure for everything we went through. The children and I, to my surprise, were more excited than I imagined, despite all the turbulence we had experienced, we returned to the mansion, because it was what felt right. I didn't want to be away from Jensen again. He was always in my thoughts, and more than ever, I knew that our family needed to be together. When we arrived at the mansion, Jensen was there, waiting at the door, with that comforting smile. He seemed more relaxed now, maybe because we'd finally gotten through the storm. When he saw us, his face lit up, and he stepped forward, arms open to welcome the children."Welcome

Sadie POVI woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, but to be honest, I had literally barely slept. I spent the night tossing and turning, thinking about Micah. How was he? Was he alone? Had he eaten anything? I need to see you.I looked at the clock. It was still six in the morning, but I couldn't stay in bed. With a heavy sigh, I got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom. I washed my face, trying to shake off the tiredness that seemed to be clinging to me, and got dressed quickly. Nothing too elaborate: jeans, a t-shirt, and a sweater. In the kitchen, I made some toast and a cup of coffee. My stomach was upset, but I knew I needed something to eat to get through the day. As I nibbled on the toast, my mind continued to wander. The image of Micah that night never left my head, his expression of pain mixed with determination. Micah had done a lot of stupid things, but he had also put himself at risk to protect us. It didn't erase his mistakes, but it was a gesture I couldn'

I knew I couldn't let fear rule their night. After they had a quick snack and settled in, we managed to get them into bed, although it wasn't easy. They were scared, not only of the situation with Finn, but also of everything they had experienced. The simple act of sleeping seemed to frighten them, as if their dreams might be interrupted by something darker.Lilian and I stayed beside them for a while, speaking quietly, trying to make the environment as comfortable and calm as possible. The metallic voice came through the speaker of the police car behind me."Dream on," I muttered under my breath, turning the steering wheel sharply to enter a dirt road. Rocks flew against the windshield, but I didn't slow down."Finn, Sawyer, this is your last chance! Park your car now, or we will use lethal force!"I laughed, but there was no humor in it.
