Just when she thought her life was finally getting better, that was when fate decided to trick her once more.
Jasmine recalled her promise to protect her baby. She gathered all the strength she had left in her and while the man was frantically undressing himself, Jasmine slapped him hard, she then pushed him off her and dragged herself up.
She wanted to run away but got caught by the other two men.
Jasmine tried fighting them off, she screamed at the top of her lungs; asking them to let her go, but instead she got slapped by one of them.
The other man whom she had hit hurriedly stood up, he roughly grabbed her hand and turned her to him, then he also slapped her.
“How dare you, bitch!” He thundered.
Jasmine was crying bitterly. She hated herself for being so weak. If only she had a wolf, then she would have been able to defend herself from these rogues.
“I was thinking of going easy on you, but since you want to do this the hard way, I'm going to make sure you regret your actions.” The man seethed before roughly pushing her to the ground.
Just when he was about to get on top of her, they all heard a low growl that was enough to send shivers down their spine. The men slowly turned in the direction from which the growl came from. A large figure stood only a stone throw from them, his identity was unclear, except for his glowing red eyes indicating his fierce and commanding presence.
In a wolf pack, only the strongest alphas are known to possess red eyes.
The rogues need no soothsayer to tell them that the man standing in front of them was an alpha. They each shared a worried look, wondering if they should engage him in a fight or just flee this area.
The unknown alpha stood completely still, his red eyes blazing with fury. He let out another threatening low growl, but this time, it was more like a warning to the rogues, and they seemed to get the message because they weren't willing to risk their lives by challenging an alpha, one with this kind of dark and powerful aura that was enough to bring them to their knees.
The rogue that was going to rape Jasmine immediately grabbed his clothes from the floor, and they all took to their heels, choosing not to risk their lives for a mere omega.
Jasmine, who was still shaking with fear, looked at the alpha, his eyes weren't glowing red anymore, they seemed to have returned to their original color.
The man took slow strides towards her, and that alone made her move back in fear, as she was still in shock.
“It's okay. I'm here to help.” He said calmly. “I promise I won't hurt you.” He added, and for some unknown reason his voice seemed to calm her nerves down and magically made her feel so relaxed.
The man finally got to where Jasmine was, he offered her his hand, and she only took it after a brief moment. When their skin came in contact with each other, they both felt this spark like an electric shock but in a comfortable way.
The man helped her up, and the moon seemed to have focused its light on them, letting them get a clear view of each other's faces.
For what felt like ages, they could only just look into each other's eyes.
The man's eyes slowly widened as the realization hit him hard.
“Mate!”
Jasmine immediately took a step back when he said that. “What?” She asked, confused. “Mate? We're mates? How can I be mated to you? It's not possible.” She shook her head, refusing to believe it.
“I… I don't know, but…” He trailed.
He looked at her for a little longer. “You're my mate.” He confirmed.
He has no idea how this happened or why the moon goddess chose to give him a second chance mate.
The Alpha in front of Jasmine is Alpha Nicolai. Alpha of the Crescent moon pack, which also happens to be one of the strongest packs in the land. It's a pack other neighboring packs wouldn't want to mess with, as they've never been known to lose any battle. Only a few people know what Nicolai looks like, but based on the story told to them, they call him the devil, a man who lost all humanity when he lost his mate.
Nicolai had lost his mate to a fire accident and didn't know the moon goddess would give him a second chance mate in such a situation. He had been invited to the party and had come into the woods for some alone time when he heard Jasmine's scream for help, at first, he had wanted to ignore and mind his business but the more her screams echoed through the woods, the more restless he became, so he decides to track her down and help her, not knowing she was his mate.
Nicolai sighed deeply, he really doesn't want a mate because he was so sure he'll never be able to love her, not when he can't forget his late mate. And because of this, he didn't think he'll be able to accept her.
“What are you doing in the woods? Why are you all alone here and how did you get yourself in this situation?” He asked.
Jasmine wrapped her arms around herself, rubbing her hands up and down to combat the chill. She didn't even know how to explain her situation to Nicolai, so she simply kept quiet.
Nicolai could tell she would rather not answer him, and he wasn't going to force her to. He noticed she was cold, so he took off the jacket he was wearing and wrapped it around her.
Jasmine looked at him. “You don't have to do this, I'm fine.” She attempted to take off the jacket, but he stopped her.
“Then do you expect me to let you freeze?” Nicolai asked. “You've been through enough for one night, so just keep the jacket.”
“What about you? I would rather not be a bother to you.” She replied calmly. She still can't get over the fact that this man is her mate, it's so difficult to believe, but she would rather not think too much about it. Her priority is getting away from here, she doesn't care about her new mate because her ex mate has definitely taught her a lesson she'll never forget.
She'll rather remain mateless than have a second chance mate.
“You don't have to worry about me.” Nicolai answered. “Where's your pack? I'll take you back.” He offered.
When Jasmine heard that, her blood ran cold, and she moved back even more, surprising Nicolai. “I… I can't go back there.” She said fearfully. “I'm not letting you take me back! I'm not going back!” She turned to flee but got caught by Nicolai.
“Let go!” Jasmine struggled to push him off, but he wouldn't let her go.
Nicolai didn't know the reason for her sudden reaction, but he did his best to calm her down. “It's okay. It's okay.” He said. “I won't take you back there if you don't want it. I promise you.”
“If you would rather not return to your pack it's fine, but I can't let you wander through the woods on your own, so please let me help you.''
“How?”
“You have nowhere else to go, right?” He asked. Jasmine nods in reply.
“Would you like to come with me to my pack?” Nicolai asked. Even though he couldn't accept her as his mate, it doesn't mean he's not going to help her, especially when he's seen how scared she was of going back to her pack. It wasn't clear to him why she left her pack, but he's going to find out soon.
“Can I do that?” Jasmine asked in surprise. “And why would you want to help me? If it's because I'm—”
"It's not that.'' Nicolai interrupted, knowing what she was about to say. “It's so obvious to me that you need help, so I just want to help you out.”
“Thank you.” Jasmine was filled with so much gratitude.
“My name's Nicolai.” He introduced himself.
"Jasmine.''
“Jasmine.” He repeated, loving how her name sounds.
If only they had known that their meeting was just the start of something great and magical.
As they entered the Crescent moon pack's territory, Jasmine's eyes widened in awe. The pack's sprawling grounds were a masterful blend of wild beauty and organized structure. The air was alive with the sweet scent of blooming wildflowers and the soft rustle of leaves. The overall effect was breathtaking, a harmonious fusion of wilderness and wonder. When the car finally stopped, Nicolai got out first before going to help Jasmine out.“We should get you checked up first.” He said to her,“What?” Jasmine furrowed her brow, confused.“I mean, I'm going to take you to the pack doctor to examine you and get you treated if you have any injuries.'' He explained.Jasmine nods in understanding, she has no problem with this, at least she'll be able to know how her baby is doing. She placed her hand on her tummy as she followed Nicolai to the pack hospital.***Jasmine didn't expect the pack hospital to be as huge as it was, the one in her pack wasn't even up to this. Everything about the Cresce
Stephan was in his room making out with his mistress Laura when a knock on his door interrupted them."Alpha!" A voice called from outside."Damn it!" Stephan spat in annoyance. "What could be the problem now?" He pulled away from Laura's embrace and wanted to go answer the door, but was immediately stopped by Laura."Why don't you just leave it. You can always tend to those business later." She said, seductively trailing her finger tips down his chest.Stephan smirked, then he kissed her. "I'll be back." He got down from the bed and went to answer the door.Laura scoffed. "Mood killer!" She whispered."This better be important." Stephan warned the guard the moment he opened the door."I sincerely apologize for the disturbance, Alpha. I came to inform you that Jasmine is nowhere to be found. We've scanned the whole area, but there's no sight of her anywhere.""What? What do you mean she's nowhere to be found!? Where could she have gone to?""We have no idea, Alpha. But we suspect that
"Wow! It's really way more complicated than I thought." Kent said, he was now sitting beside Nicolai on his bed. "So you're saying she's not only a rejected mate, but also an expecting mother! What kind of idiot will do that to his own mate?" He ran his hand through his hair in frustration. "I feel so sorry for her, she doesn't deserve all that, and I'm glad you helped her." He looked at Nicolai. After narrating the whole story to Kent, Nicolai suddenly fell silent."I want to ask you a question, Nicolai." Nicolai sighed deeply. "What's it?""I know you helped her, and we can't also deny the fact that she's your second chance mate, but do you have any intention of ever accepting her as you mate, and I'm pretty sure you know the reason I'm asking you this question. What will you do about her?" Nicolai didn't have to think too much about his reply. "No. I may not be able to accept her as my mate, but I'm going to help her and make sure she's alright." He replied. "You know, Kent. I co
After making sure that Jasmine's food has been served, Nicolai excused himself from the dining room, saying he's got an urgent matter that he needs to take care of, but he promised her that he'll be back in time to take her to the hospital.Jasmine didn't want him to leave her all alone, but she doesn't even know how to say the words, so all she could do was to helplessly watch him leave.Thankfully, there weren't anyone else in the dinning room except for her, and that alone was enough to make her feel a little bit relaxed. The aroma of the food filled the air, causing her stomach to grumble. Since she was already salivating due to the sumptuous meals in front of her, Jasmine hurriedly picked her cutlery and digged into the food. While she was busy devouring the dishes in front of her, an unknown voice interrupted her."So you're the one I've been hearing about."Jasmine sharply turned to see an unknown lady standing at the door way. She exuded elegance, her refined features and impe
"Where could that bitch be!?" Stephan muttered to himself as he angrily paced around his room.Laura who was sitting on his bed couldn't help but roll her eyes at his words. "I wonder why he's so bothered about her." She scoffed."I can hear you, Laura." Stephan said with a warning growl.Laura heaved a deep breath. "The guards clearly said that they've searched everywhere for her, but she's nowhere to be found." Laura stated. "Couldn't that mean something? If they can't find her or her dead body, then maybe she's escaped to somewhere else. She could literally be in another pack by now, or maybe other wolves would have made a feast out of her body, after all she's nothing but a helpless omega who can't even fight to save her life.""I still see no reason why you should be stressing yourself about her, and if you badly want to find her that much, why don't you just go see the pack witch or something." She scoffed.Stephan wanted to yell at her and ask her to shut up, but when he heard
Laura paced outside Stephan's mansion, nervously waiting for him to come back since he's been gone for quite sometime. She couldn't stop praying that the pack's priestess shouldn't tell him anything about Jasmine's whereabouts, and even if she wants to tell him anything, let it be the news of her death."This is all my fault! It's all my fault!" She slapped her mouth.Soon, Stephan's car drove into the premises, and Laura was finally able to feel a bit relieved. When Stephan stepped out of his car, she immediately ran to him."Stephan, d...did you find out where she is?" She asked, but Stephan didn't even reply, he just kept walking into the mansion, while Laura followed him, trying to get some answers out of him."Why won't you say anything to me? Remember I was the one who brought the idea of going to see the pack's priestess, so I deserve to know what she told you." She said. They were already at Stephan's room by now, and he hasn't even said a single word to her, he just keeps on
Jasmine was done with her check-up, and Nicolai was currently giving her a tour around the pack."Is it really okay to do this for me? I'm sure you have other important things to do." She said, feeling bad that Nicolai had to trouble himself by giving her a tour when he should be using his time for something important."I'm not complaining, unless you're tired and want to go back home, then I'll take you back. I just want you to know the pack a bit." "Thank you, and I'm not tired, I'm just feeling bad that you have to go through this trouble for me." Jasmine replied."It really is nothing, I just...." Nicolai trailed when he noticed that her shoelace had loosen. Knowing how dangerous it'll be for her if she should trip and fall, he immediately asked her to stop."What's wrong?" "Your shoelace is untied." He was about kneeling to help her tie her shoelace when she stopped him."What are you doing?" Jasmine asked, surprising Nicolai."I want to help you tie your shoelace, I don't want
Kent was on his way to see Nicolai when he ran into Cruella. He wanted to ignore her, but she didn't let him."Wait, Kent." Cruella blocked his path.Kent sighed deeply. "What do you want this time, Cruella? I really don't have time for you. I'm in a hurry to see Nicolai." "I know, and I promise I won't take much of your time." Cruella smiled.Kent had a huge frown on his face, he wonder if he should just leave rather than listen to what she's trying to say."You know me well, Kent. You know I'm not going to let you leave until you talk to me." Cruella said, as if reading his mind.Kent mentally rolled his eyes at her words. Now this is another reason he doesn't like Cruella. She always wants to have her way with anything at all. "Fine." Kent said in surrender. "What do you want to talk about? And you better make it quick because I haven't got much time to spare."Cruella smirked. "I want to know about the lady staying with Nicolai. She's not just a person he wants to have some fun w
"Kent!" Jasmine called out as she barged into his office.Kent was startled by the sudden intrusion and instinctively pushed Scott who he was making out with."Oh." Jasmine muttered, realising what she's done. "I...I'm really sorry, I didn't know you two were..." She trailed off, not knowing what to say. "I...It's okay, Jasmine. What's wrong? You seem worried." Kent asked.Jasmine shook her head to clear off her thoughts before speaking. "Yeah, I...I came to ask if you know where Nicolai is. I called him earlier but Cruella answered the phone and told me that they were on a date! Why would Nick be on a date with her?" She asked. "I tried calling him back after Cruella hung up on me, but my calls kept on going to voicemail, and I'm sure it's all her doing." Jasmine ran her hand through her hair as she let out a frustrated sigh.Kent nodded in understanding. "I understand, Jasmine. But I think you need to calm down for now, I'm sure it's nothing serious. You trust Nick right? You know
Jasmine stood on the stairs, her expression neutral. "Welcome home, Cruella."Cruella scoffed, her eyes flashing with annoyance. "What's it to you?" She snapped, continuing up the stairs.Jasmine's voice stopped her. "Where are you coming from?"Cruella spun around, her gaze icy. "And why is that your business? Do you have nothing better to do than spy on me?"Jasmine's expression remained calm. "I'm not spying on you, Cruella."Cruella's eyes narrowed. "Then why ask? You think you have the right to question me just because I'm living here? Newsflash: You're not my Luna, this isn't your mansion, and I'm not your responsibility! So you better think twice before speaking to me."Jasmine's voice dripped with sarcasm. "Someone's in a bad mood. I'm guessing you're upset because Nicolai and I aren't fighting over the news. You were counting on using this to your advantage, weren't you?"Cruella's expression twisted in a scathing smile. "You're right, I am upset. But don't worry, dear Jasmin
Cruella paced around the living room, tapping her phone against her palm as she waited for Nicolai. She knew it's almost time for him to get home and she just couldn't wait to show him the latest news about Jasmine that's been flying around. She had a bright smile plastered on her lips as she pictured the look on Nicolai's face when he sees that his precious innocent Jasmine isn't so innocent after all."Ha! That bitch." She scoffed loudly. "Just you wait and see how I'm going to ruin you and your relationship with Nicolai." She spat. She heard a car drive in and knew that would be Nicolai. Cruella instantly put on a worried look and rushed outside, she waited for Nicolai to come into the mansion before carrying on with her plan."Nick, how are you? Are you okay?" She questioned, her voice laced with concern and worry etched on her face."Yes, Cruella. I'm okay, what's wrong?" Nicolai asked, confused."It's....I...I don't know how to say this." Cruella heaved a deep breath before she
Jasmine's office door burst open and Nicolai rushed in.Startled, Jasmine looked up from her laptop. "Nick, y...you scared me." She heaved a deep breath to calm her nerves, then she stood up and walked to him."Hey." Nicolai pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry I'm late, how are you?"Jasmine smiled. "You've seen the news haven't you." She replied.Nicolai let her go. "You don't have to worry about anything, Kent is working on bringing them down.""It's fine, I'm not worried about myself, I'm more worried about you. I'm sorry you have to see that, it's all my fault." She said, her head bowed down, unable to meet his eyes."Hey." Nicolai held her chin and made her face him. "We've gone past this. I'm not blaming you for what happened, so it's okay, don't beat yourself over this.""But if I hadn't gone there to...""Shh...." Nicolai placed a finger on her lips to silence her. "It's okay." He said, his voice calm and soothing. "Don't blame yourself. I'll fix this, and it's totally okay if y
Jasmine stepped into the company, sensing an eerie atmosphere. The usual hum of activity was replaced by hushed whispers and accusatory stares. Everywhere she went, employees gazed at her with a mixture of curiosity and disdain.Unsettled, Jasmine hastened to the elevator. As the doors began to close, a group of workers slipped in, their eyes fixed on her with an unnerving intensity. Jasmine's discomfort grew as they whispered among themselves, their glances piercing.Relieved when the elevator finally opened, Jasmine rushed out and hurried to her office. Scott stood up as she entered, concern etched on his face."Ma'am, are you okay? Why are you..." He asked, trailing off as he noticed Jasmine's bewildered expression.Jasmine's brow furrowed. "What's going on, Scott? Why is everyone staring at me?"Scott hesitated. "Y...you haven't seen the news."Jasmine's confusion deepened. "What news? Tell me, Scott."Scott's voice trembled. "I...I think it's better if you just ignore it, ma'am."
Jasmine woke up the next day with a pounding headache, she groaned as she slowly sat up on the bed, when she turned to her side, she couldn't see Nicolai on the bed. "Nick?" Jasmine called worriedly. Her eyes scanning the room in search of him, but there was no sign of him anywhere. "Nick!" She called once more but got no response.Everything that happened yesterday slowly came rushing to her, and she hated herself even more for being so stupid. Nicolai must be mad at her right now and she doesn't even know what do to. Regardless of her headache, she hurriedly came down from the bed and wore her clothes. She tried calling Nicolai but his number was switched off. "Oh goddess." Jasmine panicked, then she dashed out of the room.***Kent was about having breakfast when he was interrupted by the doorbell, he smiled, thinking it was Scott. He dropped his cutlery before going to answer the door. "I thought I..." Kent trailed off on seeing Nicolai standing outside. "Nick?" His brow furrowed
Stephan gently put Jasmine down, his hands holding her waist to keep her steady. Jasmine tried pushing him away, but she was too weak, at this point, she couldn't even understand her body or what was wrong with her. All she could think of was sex, she needs to stop the burning sensation in her vagina.Stephan leaned forward to kiss her, but she turned her face away and struggled to push him away from her. "P.... please, Stephan. Please don't do this, just...'' Her voice trailed off as the urge for sex grew even stronger."Just let me help you feel better, Jasmine." Stephan said, his voice low and husky. "I've missed you so much, I've missed the feeling of being inside you, and I know you want this too."Jasmine shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks.Stephan's hands went to her breasts, and he gave them a little squeeze, causing her to unknowingly moan in pleasure."You want this too, Jasmine." He stated, his voice low. He gently raised her chin, and Jasmine had her eyes clo
"So what are you saying, Nick? You're still going to let her stay there even though Jasmine isn't okay with that?" Kent asked, he was now in Nicolai's office."I already talked to Jasmine about this, and she..." Nicolai sighed. "She seems to understands. I can't leave Cruella now when she needs help the most, her house is gone, it'll take a few months to rebuild and then she'll leave.""A few months is still too much to keep her there, why not just find somewhere else for her to stay? Her being there will only cause more problems and misunderstandings.''"We'll be fine, Kent, I'm sure Cruella isn't trying to cause any problem between I and Jasmine."Kent scoffed. "You know nothing, Nick. Just be careful, and you better take my advice and chase her away before something else happens and it'll be too late for you to do anything." Kent stated, his voice firm.Nicolai looked at him for a while. "It'll be fine, I know what I'm doing. Now, let's talk business." He said, opening the file in
Cruella sat on her bed, her legs and arms crossed, a sly smirk spreading across her lips. "You may leave now." She told Samantha, her voice dripping with malice. "I'll deal with these two myself."Samantha hesitated, her eyes darting to the twins, who stood frozen, their eyes wide with fear. Cruella's gaze never left them as she rose from the bed and began to circle around them."I...I only brought them here to apologize," Samantha stammered, stepping forward to intercept Cruella. "The twins told me what they did, and I'll admit they were wrong, but they're just kids, so—""So what?!" Cruella's voice cut through Samantha's words like a knife. "And who do you think you are to dare stop me? You're nothing but a lowly maid! Don't forget your place."Samantha's eyes flashed with anger, but she kept her voice steady. "I know my place, but I won't let you harm the twins. They came to apologize, that's all."Cruella sneered, her eyes blazing with contempt. "I'd love to see you try to stop me
