Lunaya.

Alpha Ambrose had already broken off from the group to cover the East. His son, Ares, and their warriors would head up to meet him and then their pack would cut them off from there. Alpha Lace took his men, and at the request of Alpha Marius, half of the Blue Moon warriors, to the coastline on the West. I can understand now why Tobias so easily handed his brother the Alpha title. Marius is a smart Were, very capable and wise beyond his years. He is cocky as all hell, but the devotion and loyalty he has is strong. I'm glad Zelena has such a strong alliance with that pack. With Alpha Travis’s warriors from Waning Wolf coming from the South, and Tri-Moon and Luna Eclipse coming from the North. Plus, the addition of the remaining Blue Moon warriors spreading out to pick off the stragglers. We will have them completely blocked off and surrounded. The sun was not far from rising, meaning the battle was imminent. We were all now in position. Before the Alpha’s br

Lunaya. Finally, I could see parts of the farmhouse through the trees now. We are getting really close. As we began to move in again, a shudder inducing chill ran up my spine. My fur stood up straight and electricity danced across my body. A second later, a hard wind slammed against us all. The force of it was like a large wave of water. But it wasn’t just any kind of wind, it was pure energy. It pulled at us, all of us, dragging our bodies to the ground. My body felt heavy, I felt compelled to drop to my stomach. But I didn’t. I managed to stay on my feet. Everyone else however, they were all laid flat on their bellies, whimpering and whining. It’s from Zelena. Her power. This can’t be good.*What the fuck is this?*Cleo growled through our flash. I looked over at her, and she was on her side, burying her nose into the dirt. Hina was not far beyond her, on her bell

Lunaya.I grabbed his head and thrust my knee up, slamming it into his nose. Now he was out.I peeked around the corner of the house. Three more Weres were standing a bit away, facing away from me. They were watching our warriors fighting. It was the Howlers group and they were decimating the enemy. A few meters away from where I was standing, is a medium size window. I could go for the window, break it, and jump through before they turn around. But, I don’t know who might be on the other side. I looked back behind me. Lupus, Hina and the warriors were doing okay, but I couldn’t see Cleo. I would appreciate the back up right now.I decided to go for the window, I can’t risk standing around out here in the open, waiting to be seen or captured. I looked down at myself, I’m naked, what am I going to use to break this window. I looked at the unconscious Were laying on the ground. That will work. I ripped the sh

Lunaya. I stared at the dirty woman, who looked like she had been through her own version of hell. The little boy in her arms was digging himself as far into her embrace as he could. I imagine thatthey’dboth reek of fear, if I could stand to smell them over the grotesque smell of human filth. “Who are you?” I hissed quietly. The woman shielded the boy from my view, pulled her lips back over her teeth and growled at me. “Why are you here?” I whisper yelled. Still no response, just more growling. Can this chick even speak? Ah fuck it,I&

  • Mother of the Moon   Chapter 92 - A Theory

Lunaya.Neither Alpha Hina or Phoebe could get a word out of the mystery woman. Though I think we all had our theories on who they might be. Phoebe tried to coax her out of the tiny dark room. She offered her food, water, blankets, but nothing worked. I can’t help but wonder how long they have been in there. We checked over the house once more, confirming that there was no one else left inside, then we went back out to the yard. The battalion that I left Alpha Hina and Lupus to deal with, had been killed. Bodies littered the ground, both in wolf and human forms. The grass was stained with blood. We jogged around to the other side of the house where the Howlers had been fighting. They had moved on now too, leaving more bodies in their wake. We eventually found the rest of our allies. Taking out what looks to be the last of the Origin Wolf pack warriors and their allies. Before we left Tri-Moon, the leaders briefly discussed the possibility of surrender and taking prisone

Lunaya. “I think this is the Origin Wolf Luna, or at least the Alpha’s plaything. Which I would have to guess, makes that that boy the Alpha-son. Meaning he is a descendant of Gill. My rival. Zelena’s rival”. As soon as I said the word ‘Gill’ the woman began to snarl and bark. Her body was shaking, like she was having trouble changing form. I would bet my right arm that she is near on Feral. Without her Alpha here to help with the change, one more shift and I would guess she’ll be stuck. It sure as shit explains the aggression and lack of talking. Smith was quiet, probably letting my thoughts digest through his mind as he watched the dirty pair. After a minute he huffed, turned around and began to go back up the stairs. “I’m sending someone down for them. We’re taking them back to Tri-Moon" he grumbled over his shoulder, “Isn’t that for your Alpha to decide?” I shouted back to him. Speaki

Zelena. The blood in my veins bubbled under my skin. I could feel my light dying out, and in its place the darkness rose up. My power ignited and the electric sparks caused my hair to stand up. My narrowed eyes burned holes into Galterio’s face, while he stood smirking down at me.“I will kill you” I hissed through my clenched teeth. Using his unnatural speed, he appeared in front of me and grabbed my jaw roughly. Cole’s still warm blood smeared over my chin, where Galterio’s fingertips pressed into my face.“You will love me” he hissed back. He pulled my face forward and crashed his lips hard up against my own. I tried to push him away, but his other hand came around and grabbed the back of my neck, holding me in place. Galterio pushed his tongue into my mouth and swirled it around. I would rather gouge my eyes out with spoons than feel his slimy tongue roll around in my mouth. I chomped my teeth down, biting into his t

Zelena. He's going to kill my baby. I can’t let that happen. I screamed from the pain and my arms shot out to the sides. The darkness shot out of my body like a wave, fully engulfing Galterio. I focused on my stomach, letting all my power be directed there. I surrounded my womb with my forcefield of darkness. Nothing was getting near him now. I heard snapping and crunching and Galterio shouted. He lifted his hand from my stomach and held it in front of his face, which was in front of my face. His fingers were bent and broken, sitting at horribly impossible angles. They had compacted in on themselves, shattering all the bones. Blood dripped from the exposed bones and torn apart skin. Galterio pressed the claws at my neck harder into the skin, his desperate attempt to finish me off. With my pup now safe, I can fight back. I gripped his hand and pulled it from my throat. As I felt my warm blood roll down the cool skin of my neck, I let th

Zelena. With my head on Tobias’s chest and the warmth of his body washing over me, his steady heartbeat was slowly lulling me to sleep. That peace was broken when a group of wolves came running through the village, stopping at the bottom of the porch steps. I stood up and walked to the railing, only for Tobias to push me behind him and growl down at the gathered wolves. The largest of the group, a brownish orange wolf, changed form and stood up. I recognise this guy, he’s the same age as Gunner and me, and a friend of Gunner’s. He had been making his way up in the ranks over the past few months. Daniel, I think his name is. I stepped around Tobias and looked down at the muscular Were. His blonde hair sat in a shaggy mess of curls atop his head, and his dark hazel eyes looked back up at me. He was quite tall, with a slim frame sporting a lot of defined muscles. “You’re Daniel, right?” I asked him. He bowed his head and placed his hand over his heart. “

  • Mother of the Moon   Epilogue 1

Epilogue.Zelena.My brain is ready to explode. Firstly, I find out that I'm pregnant, which of course I'm thrilled about now. Admittedly, I was terrified at first, but it’s hard to be scared when so many people around you are happy and excited. Their excitement has rubbed off on me. Roe has already started arranging a Litter Party, which is apparently like a baby shower. She hasn’t let me see it, but I know she is working on a nursery as well. Nat has been a constant at my side. Always happy to talk babies and throwing ridiculous baby names at me. Something is going on with Nat, I can’t put my finger on it yet. She has been avoiding talking about herself, which is weird and alarming all on its own. Each time I try to talk about her, she swings the topic back around to me or babies. Maybe she is just lonely, with Smith taking on most of the Beta duties, he is barely around. I understand if that’s what is bothering her, I miss him too. Smith is m

Lunaya.“You’re pregnant” I blurted out.Zelena choked and sat up straight. Her wide eyes finding mine immediately.“Excuse me?” she squeaked. Gunner snaked his arm further around her waist and pulled her into him closer. A protective and possessive motion. Something I remember all too well with Micha. His protective instincts increased tenfold. He was a warrior, so he was already very protective. But the second he could sense hispup,he wouldn’t let anyone get close to me without a warning growl. Gunner’s an Alpha, so his instincts would be higher still.

Lunaya.Alyse and I were huddled in the corner booth, stuffing our faces with bread and lukewarm stew. Alyse had her legs draped over mine so that she was nearly in my lap. I had a piece of bread hanging between my teeth as I waved it in front of Alyse’s mouth. She chuckled and snapped her teeth at the bread, pulling it from my mouth. I laughed and grabbed either side of her face, I pulled her to me and pressed my lips to her cheek. The kitchen door flew open and in walked Gunner with Zelena in his arms. She had her arms and legs wrapped around him like a koala. Alyse and I went silent as we watched them enter. Gunner paused and flicked his eyes to mine. He quickly looked to Alyse and then down at the bowls in front of us, before continuing on into the kitchen. I sat up straight, expecting that he would put Zelena down so I could see her. But instead, he kept one arm under her backside and carried her with him to the fridge. Zelena had her head nuzzled into the crook of

Lunaya.I left Zelena to rest and went in search of Alyse. No doubt she is tending to the injured Weres. As I made my way outside, I found the clearing filled with bandaged and bloodied Weres. Most of them were up and about, walking around or sitting and talking. Some, however, were laid out on stretcher beds, in far worse shape. A few tables had been set up with some she-wolves serving food to the warriors. I spotted Alyse flittering between two stretcher beds and made my way to her.“Can I help?” I asked. I stepped up behind her as she was wiping the blood from a she-wolfs face. Alyse jumped with a squeak and turned around, I’d startled her. I smiled and she sighed.“No love, you need to rest as well. Go get yourself something to eat, I will join you shortly” she squeezed my forearm with a soft smile on her beautiful face, before turning back to the she-wolf. I looked around and spotted Ares sitting with his sister on some large l

Lunaya. That fucking Origin Alpha. He tried to force her to be his Mate. Not the first time a descendant of Gill has tried to blend the bloodlines. The fucker already had a Mate and heir, plus Zelena has a destined Mate. What idiot told him that it would work. Oh, let me guess that fool of a Prophet. Fucking bastards. Artemis thought she had to choose between two mates, and so they tried to force her hand. Those damned idiots! My anger flared and before I got the chance to compose myself, I slammed my fist into the tiled wall. The tiles cracked and shattered at the force of my punch and then clattered to the floor. Tobias looked at me with a quirked eyebrow, “You already know?” he said. “Yeh, I already know. The Origin Alpha, right? That fucking treacherous line of egotistical morons. Gill’s descendants have been trying to snag a daughter of Selena for generations. Came close at one point, but they never succeeded in joining the lines” I snarled. “Com

Lunaya. The trip back to Tri-Moon was dismal. All of Lua Chei, apart from Analah, Ares and four others, went back to their pack lands. Alpha Travis bid farewell and left for Waning Wolf with his warriors. Tobias insisted that his brother, Alpha Marius, went back home. They argued over it for a while, but Tobias won, and his brother went back to their pack. Alpha Lace however, he refused to go home. He sent his men and Beta back, keeping only three Weres with him. He was very insistent on coming back to Tri-Moon, and I am very curious as to why.Tobias and Gunner were very tight-lipped about what ever happened out there. All they said was that the Origin Alpha murdered Cole, and then they killed him in return. As for Zelena and her unconscious state, they said that she depleted her energy fighting off the Alpha. I could tell they were lying. Zelena is a Triple Goddess. It would have weakened her, but not to this extent. Something else happened. And I'll be dammed if the

Zelena. “It’s my fault. I sent my brother to die” Gunner cried and squeezed his arms. My chest constricted under his hold, and I couldn’t take a full breath. But my concern was for my pup. His arms were crushing me under the weight of his guilt, and our pup along with it. I tapped on his head to let me go but my signal didn’t register. *Gunner, you’re crushing our pup* I flashed him in a strained tone. He immediately shot himself back, flying his body off the bed and across the room. He held his hands out in front of him, like he was trying to show me he wouldn’t hurt me. The same way he did on the day I first changed. I know he won't hurt me on purpose. What is this about? “I’m sorry, I'm sorry. I didn’t mean to, I swear it” he rushed out as his eyes swept down my body. A look of shame and disgust filled his eyes. But I could still feel him, his emotions and tho

Zelena. “Mother?” I said meekly. “Yes, daughter of mine” Selene answered me. “You’re Selene, the Moon Goddess?” Gunner stated obviously. She turned her angry eyes to him and nodded. Gunner dropped to the ground on his hands and knees with his head pressed into the dirt. Tobias huffed and shook his head. “Too late for that don’t you think? You've already insulted and disrespected her” he grumbled. “Stand up boy” Selene snapped. Gunner shot back up to his feet immediately. He stood with his hands at his side and his head facing down. “Mother, what are you doing here?” I asked her, stepping forward. “I had no choice. I won’t stand back and watch you destroy yourselves. You are meant for more than that” she hissed harshly. I lowered my head as I filled with shame. She's mad. I made her mad. “I... I'm sorry” I said softly. A tear ran down my cheek as I looked back up at her. Her pale white eyes gazed back at me sadly. She wa
