The Stepbrother (3)

To say Melody was surprised was an understatement. Her dad was remarrying! A new woman was coming to take her mom’s position!

She looked blankly at her dad, who told her all will be well and that he had decided to do that for both of them. She only managed to nod in tears as she walked as though out of strength to her room.

She needed someone to talk to. Gladys could understand, but she was busy in the kitchen. Would Kate understand? She wasn't sure. She called her, but the phone rang, and there was no answer.

Feeling desperate to talk to someone, she called Siril and wept her heart out. He understood her just like she had expected. Melody didn't know how it was possible for a stranger to understand her so well.  However, she was soon to find out, and maybe or maybe not, she would be broken once again.

Melody woke up with a throbbing headache. Since she heard the news that her dad would be remarrying, she felt like the world was spinning and cl
