Steph woke up around ten am, and the sunlight was already glaring in the room. Everyone had woken up by then, and her mom commented on how it was unusual that she was the last to wake up.

“Vicky always woke up early to study while you did so to read model magazines. You were never in bed past seven,” Stacy said.

Steph threw a glance at Robert, who was in a quiet conversation with Vicky.

“What are they talking about?” she asked casually

“Have you forgotten they should go to Mt. Kilis?” Stacy said, and Steph felt a lump on her throat. Memories from last night came flooding before her, and she felt so overwhelmed.

It was just a fling. We didn’t know what we were doing, she repeatedly told herself silently. It was her usual mantra, especially when she was drunk, but this time, someone else was involved. She was lost in her thoughts still when she served a cup of coffee and went where her sister was.
