The Journalist (1)

The world woke up to shocking news. The town of Paraiso had become known overnight. Paraiso was home to a mountain that was well known as an active volcano many years ago.

Robert Lancaster, a 34-year-old man who had worked as a journalist with Legacy Media Enterprises for over half a decade, went to his workstation full of energy as usual. At the beginning of his career, he had lots of problems. He landed many jobs because of his hard work and ambitions but always fell out with his employers because they couldn’t agree on his pay.

“I can’t do all that work for such little money. You have to add something to my salary,” he would often tell his boss.

“Mr. Lancaster, we agreed on what we would be offering you. What has changed?”

“Everything. The cost of living has gone up, and the work am doing is so much. Surviving on the little pay you give me is almost impossible,” Robert would reply.
