Chapter Eighty Seven

Elena woke up the next morning, a banging headache and a sore body. She fluttered her eyes repeatedly before standing up.

“Where am I?” She yawned and glanced around, hissing when she finally got it.

She looked at the other side of the bed and saw an empty bed. Matthew must have slept beside her, given how those parts were ruffled but had woken up. Her eyes went to his clock, widening as she saw the time.

Her mother was going to kill her. She stood up immediately, and she groaned out at the back ache she was having.

“Where are you rushing to?” She heard his voice, but ignored it, going down on her knees as she searched under her bed for her sneakers.

“I called her last night and told her you are with me. So don’t fret.” He retorted as her heart stopped, looking at him immediately.

“My head aches, and my body.” She cried out.

Matthew eyed her before walking towards her, passing her the cup he was holding.
