Chapter Eighty Nine

After some minutes of resting and munching on snacks, Elena was tired and decided it was time for them to continue, but this time she sat at the backseat, laid down and soon enough, she was fast asleep. Matthew had no choice but to keep on driving, but this time his head was full of thoughts. Why was it so hard for her to see it? Why does she keep pushing every other lady to him and for her to see it, it was very hard for her?

Or maybe she was just pretending, trying not to give him the hope that he might have a chance, and protecting him from not telling him he might not have a chance. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he rolled down his window, allowing the chill breeze to rush in. He knew Sarah likes him, and he knew he was treating her badly by allowing her to think she had a chance. But life was not fair, and that was the same way the person he likes treated him.
