CH10: Moving Away

"Philip... it is okay. I know you struggle with something that I never know. So if you want to move away from this place...then I will help you to find someplace that will give you time to recover." Daniela uttered while caressing Philip's back.

"Thank you, Daniela. Someday you will understand why I'm telling you this..." Philip replied, but before he ended up his words, Daniela suddenly departed from his body and gave him a torrid kiss that tasted sweet like honeydew. The sweetness of that moment made Philip stop talking and get into the flow of the heat that embraced them.

"Tsup!"

The sound of their kiss killed the silence between them. And before Daniela set free their lips, she smiled sweetly and uttered.

"Enough. I do understand." Daniela briefly uttered, that made Philip fade his fear away and smiled like Daniela. They both looked at each other until they heard a slight whine from Selene. Their attention was caught by her and they smiled back at each other.

"I think baby Selene wanted a new home for us. Hihi" Daniela uttered as she laughed sweetly while moving her body toward Selene who was sleeping in the crib near their bed.

"I guess so" Philip replied, tilting his head as he recovered himself from the night terror. After a while, Philip and Daniela felt sleepy after they talked about something. Philip denied his fear and he let himself fall asleep together with Daniela.

KRINGGGG...

The sound of the alarm clock awakened Daniela. She opened her eyes and she saw the rising sun from the east.

She rubbed her eyes and removed the blanket that covered her body. From the right side of the room, where the large ebony window was located, she saw Philip standing there carrying the innocent Selene in his arms.

"Good morning..." Daniela uttered slowly while yawning. Philip averted his gaze from Selene and looked at Daniela wearing a sweet smile.

"Good Morning Daniela. Your coffee is already prepared." Philip replied, making Daniela smile.

"Maybe your morning is better, right?" Daniela replied while stepping her feet on the floor. Philip nodded his head and stared at Selene again as he spoke.

"Ahmm... Maybe. But I have a piece of good news. I found a better place for the three of us. My grandfather's hacienda is in the province. I think you will be happy too if you see that place." He proudly said, which made Daniela widen her eyes.

"Really? Your family has that property? Then buy it!" Daniela happily uttered, making Philip shake his head.

"No. No. No... We will never buy it because we will own it. My grandfather's last will was to give half of the hacienda to my parents before he died. Unfortunately, my parents died too and they gave it to me." Philip uttered, that made Daniela widen her eyes.

"So why are you hiding that kind of thing from me?' Daniela pouted her lips as she felt sadness because Philip hid that property from her. Philip walked toward her and laid Selene on the crib as he spoke.

"Sorry, Daniela. But if you are asking me that, all I can answer is...I don't want to live there alone. But because I have you and Selene, I know that place will be the happiest place in this world."

Daniela secretly smiled as she heard the reason for her husband. And she felt guilty as she always asked many things from Philip, not knowing that Philip hid the most important thing that she had loved to see a long time ago.

At the moment that the two couples decided where they could live together, they prepared themselves to find the perfect place for Selene and them.

Philip and Daniela left their home and traveled back to the province where Philip's hacienda was located. They also left everything inside instead of themselves and some money to buy a few things.

The sound of their car was heard along the silent road. They saw a few homes built on the roadside and many trees and bushes near the rocky road.

"Philip, how long did you not visit this place? Did you ever know people near our new home?" Daniela asked, seeming like she was afraid of the things behind her happiness from living in the hacienda.

"Don't be afraid, Daniela. I know the people there and we have lots of servants and caretakers there. I visit them almost every month but I do always hide it from you. Because I planned before to surprise you," Philip said while driving their car.

"Sigh. That's good. Now I know why you were a womanizer before..." Daniela uttered, seeming like she was insulting Philip.

"Hahaha. Daniela, it's already years ago, I have changed myself, you know..."Philip replied while smirking.

"That's good. You need it or else you will die!" Daniela replied, raising her middle finger in the air.

"Hahaha. You know, you are my strength, Daniela, but all girls are my weakness hahaha..." Philip replied, which made Daniela feel annoyed.

Slap!

Daniela slapped the shoulder of Philips as she heard those kinds of ill words from Philip.

"Ouchh!" Philip shouted, that made Daniela roll her eyes.

"Philip! I remind you. Talk back and you're dead! Stop the car now and I will get Selene on the back." Daniela's in authorities said while rolling her eyes. Philip smiled secretly as he stopped the car.

And from somewhere, there were a couple of eyes looking at them from afar. Seemed like following their movements and observing every detail of them.

After Daniela carried Selene, they continued traveling until they reached the heaven-like place in the middle of the woods.

"Daniela, we're here," Philip uttered, which caught the attention of Daniela who, silently sitting at his side.

Horn!

Philip horned the car as they stopped in front of the huge metal ebony gate. An old man ran toward them and opened the gate. He vowed his head after doing his part as a servant.

"Peeeppp..."

The horn of the car becomes a greeting for Philip toward Mang Alex. He was an old servant of Montreal's family.

"Who is he?" Daniela asked while looking at the old man wearing an old sleeve and black pants.

"He is Mang Alex, he will be our gardener and also a servant. He was likely to open the gate every time I visit visited her. Later you will find another here." Philip replied while driving the car slowly.

Daniela nodded her head while looking around and she saw plenty of trees and flowers around. There were hundreds of different flowers growing everywhere. Not afar, she saw three women sweeping the yard. They looked like they were in their late 20s. 

"Mhmm...how about them?" Daniela asked again as she saw the three young maidens.

"Oh. They are the daughters of Mang Alex and Aling Linda. One of them has a daughter named Jenny."

While Philip was telling everything about the three women, Selene was in the arms of Daniela wagging her legs and arms. Showing her angelic smile that made Daniela notice it.

"Seems like our baby wants this place, honey," Daniela said while looking at Selene happily. Philip smirked and continued driving until they reached the front yard of the mansion.
